Some promise HUGE payout, to draw people, but they seldom pay out.

Faucets are created to get traffics and hence ad revenue. The owners then share part of the revenue with the faucet users.
If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Smiley

Hit the faucets and as the above poster said get your post count up so you can join a signature campaign.

Faucets will let you earn a very little amount of satoshis, to gain some profit I always recommend writing posts on the forum to
learn more about cryptocurrencies and then sell the signature space.

Please ellaborate, sounds interresting.

For newbies to Crypto Currency, faucets is a good start. It's always good to experiment with everything, to weed {excuse the pun} out , the bad from the good.

But before you dive into every faucet availlable, first check in with some forums, like this, to see which one is paying. Some promise HUGE payout, to draw people, but they seldom pay out.

I would say starting out with faucets is a good idea!
But your best bet would be to keep track of the altcoin section.
And just buy a very promising altcoin cheap.
Like I did with mintcoin Im gettin a steady Satoshi income every 20 days!
Its much more then the faucets payout.

- BtcRock ( min 370 satoshi every 50 minutes )
- 9bitz ( min 229 satoshi / hour )

These sites will not net you very much BTC. I suggest, if you do not want to put in some of your own cash, to look into offering services/goods for BTC in the marketplace. Consider renting out your signature to an advertiser if you see yourself regularly posting on the forum!
These are meant for newbies which have little knowledge of bitcoins to try them out, kind of promotes bitcoins to the public. Other ways you stated are mainly for Bitcoiners who have more knowledge and wants to earn more bitcoins.

Sig deal is interesting, looks like you need a few posts to achieve this deal. Makes me feel like a cyber whore, like I am giving up something of myself..lol

This Bitvisitor site got stuck on a page,so for anyone that runs into that just head back to the initial page and start again. Otherwise your waiting 5 minutes and getting directed to the same page over and over.

yes most of the sig ad deals now require a minimum forum position like "member" or "full member" probably to root out multiple accounts and spammers. but if you end up sticking around a while, no reason not to do it! well besides the cyber whore feeling hehe.

I am interested in this as a noob because I can actually check out how Bitcoin works. I am going to check out Bitvisitor and FreeBitco.in for a bit till I hit min. and then see what I can do if anything from there. Just want to test sending and receiving before I make a mistake of sending to much to some one.

Not everyone can "get a job" just like that. I live in Serbia and Ićm a student atm and I am alreadz waiting tables, just to paz off depts so I can't spend even more money on btc and I get like 150e a month. Just take that into consideration.

Dont worry man and dont listen to them. Alot of people forget that there are people in other countries that makes this opportunity worth it, even a kid who is too young to work has the chance to get a start.

Are any of these sites actually worth your time though?
Not really!
I have tried a lot of websites like these but didn't get too much btc!
I recommend signature campaigns because they pay better than any of these sites!

People, new guys can't just run arount the bitcoin world like headless flies. These faucets are WORTH some of your time, most of them take like 5mins of your time. It's great way to earn some starting btc, to see hot btc works. So please, when you post suggestions, think about them first.

easier is to beg on the street, get 5$ and buy for it bitcoins
time spent: 1 hour
time spent to earn that on your "free sites" 30 days or more

If you are new - PLEASE take the time to re-read this quote above.  If you want BTC.  Get a job, work for two weeks, then put your spare income towards buying up little bits of bitcoin at a time.  If you have programing or some computer savvy, you could also start a business or sell something in BTC - that is also a quick way to get the ball rolling.  Don't bother with the sites mentioned above - you are just making them money through ad revenue and throwing away waaay too much time.
