If you are concerned about the security of your recovery seed, it's best to avoid using a keyboard from a third-party app as these keyboards may contain vulnerabilities that could compromise the security of your seed.
Alternatively, you could also consider using an on-screen keyboard provided by your device's operating system, as these keyboards have been thoroughly vetted and are less likely to contain security vulnerabilities.
However, it's important to ensure that your device is running the latest software updates to minimize the risk of security threats.

It's good that you are thinking ahead, and being security conscious is something that's supposed to be a must for us to survive in the crypto industry.
If you are just suspecting your keyboard to be infected, I will advise you never to copy any sensitive information using the keyboard clipboard. As far as I know, Gokeyboard is the best, just as other members have recommended here, even if you get yourself a new phone that has Gokeyboard with it. I will also advise you never to copy-paste your phrase; type it one after the other instead of copy-pasting it. We should always be extremely careful with anything regarding private keys and wallet phrases.

You're right to be scared. Many third party programs can spy on you. If you're planning to use a phone for storing money better keep it as clean as possible and avoid Chinese brands. To be honest, I wouldn't hold a lot of money on a phone, regardless of a brand. A good rule of thumb is to spend 1% of your money on securing the rest. If you're holding $1000 it doesn't really matter if it's a phone or desktop but if it's 100 000 you better have some security and good habits when it comes to browsing and downloading stuff.

Did you install a third-party keyboard?

Didn't you read his first post? Yes, he did.

If you know ahead of time that the built-in keyboard is broken, and this should not happen in a working phone, then there must be a reason for this flaw.

As paranoid as I am, I wouldn't trust any keyboard on your phone. How long have you been using it, and what applications do you install besides a third-party keyboard? It's also important to consider which links you click on.
Alternatively, in the absence of other methods, such as a separate device, reset the phone to factory settings. But also keep in mind that some viruses remain even after recovery. Such viruses are usually installed in the recovery partition and are not removed in any way. Also, the virus may remain on your MicroSD.
And finally, you can try to flash the phone yourself.
Not like the broken you referring to, the keyboard that comes with my smartphone is very sluggish, and it's very noticeable when I am typing fast, it not as if it's not working.

Did you install a third-party keyboard? else better to deactivate for a while and use the default and make a transfer with your assets, if you still doubt it makes a reformat before importing the new wallet possible make another wallet if you keep doubting yourself regarding the device you are using with. Or else buy a anti virus with your current device which have a license to make sure there's no possible malware may arise during your transferring of assets.

What keyboard is the most used with good review that I can use to import my recovery seed into a new wallet? I am scared that my recovery seed can be revealed, I am using a fancy keyboard I downloaded from Google playstore but I read somewhere on here that another keyboard that doesn't follow your phone from factory is bad. Since the one that came with my phone is buggy what do you think I should do now?

It's either you purchase a new original phone with a good inbuilt keyboard or you try to download Gboard (not recommended though)and try if suites you.
From what I know, you don't have to type the full words when inputting your secret phrases, most wallet nowadays bring out suggestions as soon as you start typing the secret phrase so even if your phone's keyboard is buggy as you said in Op it can still work, all you gat to do is just type the first three letter and you'll see so many suggestions to choose from and I for one think this is better than copying the entire secret phrase and pasting them.

Op, by the way,.I hope you're not using the mobile phone you're using to store your coin for other things? Because once you start to use it as a multi-purpose phone it increase the risk of the phone being infested with malware and then you won't have to only worry about your keyboard alone.

I'd disagree with using 3rd party keyboard like Gboard you must use a built-in keyboard for your safety unless you are using a Chinese phone.

Chinese phones are not secured I have a few clone phones here never use them for any crypto transaction it would be safer if you have iPhone or Samsung(w/ Knox secured) and then use their built-in keyboard with disabled auto-suggest and sensors off from developers option.

If you are talking about fake phones, it is true that they should not be used, but I disagree with saying that Chinese phones are not safe. Famous Chinese phone brands like OPPO, Xiaomi, and Lenovo... are all popular around the world, and I haven't heard anyone complain about them being unsafe to use. Depending on the item, not all Chinese goods are fake, don't forget iPhone and Samsung factories are mostly located in China.

Just a heads up: hopefully you're only using your phone as a hot wallet — whereas you only store a small minority of your overall holdings. For long-term investments, grab a hardware wallet.

Like the post above, third-party keyboard software will reveal your detail also. better to avoid the third-party keyboard and uninstall it if inside your phone. I suggest, You buy an external keyboard which can connect to Bluetooth phone or if more safety buy a keyboard which can connect to USB type c > example: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=keyboard+for+android&ref=nb_sb_noss

Friend, many scammer out there are watching you, if you have a lot of cryptos, better to use laptop or PC and save it as air gap device or use it for transaction with hardware wallet and etc.

As I know, the phone is just a live spy who always watches your life, don't save anything on your phone, you have noted it.

If you are scared about this kind of thing why don't you only use your smartphone as a watch only wallet? You wouldn't have to take care of those issues. Another way to circumvent potential flaws is to use it as multisig wallet along with another device(computer, tablet, other smartphone,...) as it has been suggested. But if you have a critical amount of funds it's not recommended to use a smartphone as your main wallet because besides IT security, your smartphone can be stolen or you can get extorted in the street by nasty people knowing it.

My contribution is this,

1. you should use only smart phone inbuilt keyboard
2. You need to revoke the downloaded keyboard and restore back to mobile phone defaults.
3. If you use clipboard; with the downloaded keyboard then you should create a new wallet and move your assets (safety first)
4. Do not use copy and paste (clipboard) when importing your seed to a new crypto currency wallet; instead you should type out the words one after the other until the phase is complete.

Finally, since your mobile phone is buggy, back up the device and restore to factory settings; then watch the bugs disappear
Remember to keep your seed phrase safe

First I wouldn't keep any serious Bitcoin amount on any mobile wallet, especially if you are using standard android smartphone that is always connected to internet.
Acceptable option would be to use your old phone offline as a part of multisig setup, or phone that is connected with your hardware wallet.
In that case you won't have to worry about keyboard app you are using, but I would strongly suggest using some open source keyboard app with de-googled phone.

Uninstall the present keyboard you are using and import your recovery seed phrase using the default keyboard, then reinstall back whatever keyboard you like will like to use
If you suspect that a keyboard is potentially compromised, then the risk posed is not only from importing your seedphrase, using it on a device where you have stored your assets puts you at risk.

It is best to keep it uninstalled and ensure that any app you do install on that device is one which is really needed.

Use the default keyboard on your phone when you import the existing wallet to a new wallet that you are using but as others have said that you must uninstall the keyboard first before you import the wallet if you are afraid that the keyboard you installed can copy the content that you will type. Well, you can always install it again once you are done importing the wallet. I am also using Gboard and it seems okay and didn't have any problems.

Uninstall the present keyboard you are using and import your recovery seed phrase using the default keyboard, then reinstall back whatever keyboard you like will like to use, either the new one or look for Gboard or Grammarly keyboard, these two are the most widespread judging from the number of downloads on google play store. Avoid fondness looking keyboards that changes looks and colors, they ask for permission to files I don't like.

Heading right back to default is best.

But if you want to continue using other keyboards that you can trust maybe because of some added features I would suggest keyboards with digital keystroke encryption, such as Kika Keyboard, Fleksy Keyboards and SwiftKey. These are built to protect against hackers interrupting your keystrokes, to help keep your data safe as you write or copy.

If you think the keyboard you're using is harmful, then you should uninstall it and just install Gboard instead (assuming that's not the one that came with your phone).

Yah Gboard is trusted keyboard one of them, I also agree with you that this is the best keyboard for mobile there is no doubt about it. However, most phones have their own developed keyboards that can be used with them if found convenient.(it means if used to comfortable).

<…>
This is what I mentioned on the matter a few months ago:
<…> Smartphones, and more specifically, android based ones, are potential targets of malicious apps and fake apps  stealing your data, and that can of course apply to keyboards that you install (see for example this thread). It could even happen unintentionally, as a result of data they amass that one may not be aware of, which can eventually get leaked. Hell, you’ve even got to be wary of text prediction options.
Follow the above links to see some interesting reads on the matter, that depict why it is not a good idea to use alternative keyboards on your phone.

It’s not just a question of finding the keyboard to import your recovery seed, but rather being conscious that, when privacy and valuables are at stake, the less (crap one installs) is always going to turn out being the better.
