The irony, but you are right, allways be carefull, use escrow when its not only a few bugs you would also gamble away.

As long as its not John K's escrow. Why is he still on the trusted list?

Btw, John has came back finally, and released his escrows.

Yeah I saw. Doesn’t look like he's still offering escrows though.

Probably because of his health issue...

I`d recommend to see those events as reminders to choose some one else who has more time to do the escrow.

Despite John K being reputable, everyone just seems that hes available so he`ll probably get dozen of requests.

But he can only do so much, so I`d start using ms.escrow or someone reputable to the high standard as well.

People shouldn't count anyone out based on their face. We can't help our genetics. But I see what you mean.

Regardless of anyone building trust on this forum, you never know if its been manipulated.

I would suggest to get into using a bigger escrow site, to handle your deals. I seen some people with built trust taking advantage of people on this forum.

Everyone is a stranger regardless.

I trust thermos is also still on the trusted list, so, yeah, trust no one.

Well isn't he the only one who can add or remove people from the list?

You can set your own trust list. You don't need to use defaulttrust.

Won't really matter. Most other people will still go by the defaulttrust.

Here's how you deal with trust:

Trust. No. One.

Trust me, it's better that way.

#1 green trust is from mods or admins
#2 depth?
#3 it will only show trust from "trusted" people, so unless you add someone to the list, trust from mods and admins. If you check the link it will show all trust ratings
#4 there is a checkbox, which signifies negative rep

'Green' trust is not from mods and admins. You need to be on the 'trusted list for your feedback to count, it just so happens that most mods and admins are obviously trusted, but there are many more that aren't on the staff that are on the trusted list.

Well it depends on your depth (when I posted, I didnt know it was called that).

DefaultTrust is:
Code:
DefaultTrust
    sirius
    theymos
    HostFat
    Maged
    OgNasty
    CanaryInTheMine
    John (John K.)
    Tomatocage
    SaltySpitoon
    BadBear
    escrow.ms

and all people they trust. But you are right, e.g. OgNasty is neither staff nor mod, but a donator.

sometimes it helps to click a link someone else posted just befor you...

These scores are taken from your trust network. They are not global scores. You can edit your trust network here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust
If your trust depth is set to 2 (the default), you will trust feedback by people you trust, people they trust, and people they trust. I might change the default in the future; we'll see how this works. Your trust list is public.

There might be answers to your questions even befor you have to ask them.

Hey i know what trust rating are and how it goes. But have few concerns about the trust ratings here :

1) Obviously people with red and the negative feedback ones but why some members have green positive trust and others have plain black text trust??

2) what is this trust depth is all about Huh

3)why few user show no trust or only 1 or 2 trust under their name but when actually visiting their profile and checking they actually got plenty of positive one so why others reviews are not sowing up Huh

4) while writing a feedback what decides weather it is a positive rating or a negative  ??
