Found the transaction on the blockchain but I won't post it for the security reasons, what I think is that the OP's computer/device is infected with clipboard hijacker malware, LoyceV made useful thread about it and you can see what it is and how to prevent being robbed again.

If it was a wrong random address, the fund should be still there, but they just moved the day after, spreading in different wallets which is what makes me think that the virus is the answer here.

So OP, if it happens so you can read this post, YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED! DON'T USE IT FOR TRANSFERRING FUNDS!!
Format everything and make a clean install. If it's your phone.. make a FULL RESET!

Stay safe!

Thanks for the reply.
I have to assume the worst and be more careful in the future.

Good lesson learnt.

Good for you, it's not such a big amount.
This address had only one transaction (yours). Is there possible that is your address created under account on some other platform?
remember where you were all last day, then check all the addresses from there (sounds like desperate optimism, but I know such cases).

You can message Binance about that but I doubt they can do anything to revert the transaction.

Remember that a bitcoin transaction is irreversible, you have to deal with your loss and learn from your mistake.
I hope the amount you withdrew is not huge enough to affect your living. sorry for your loss mate.

I need urgent help.

I logged into my Binance account and withdrew some BTC to an address.
But the address I put in was some other address than the intended one.

The transaction is still on the blockchain at the moment, but is there a way to either stop it and have it sent back to Binance, or find out where it's headed to?

Any way to recover that BTC?

Appreciate the help,

JH

Maybe you have been gotten by a malware? Maybe check your computer since to avoid any further problem.

Also you cannot do nothing with since you already sent the BTC and the transaction is not reversible so I guest better learn from this mistake and always do proper checking when sending your balance to another wallet. Shitty times happen and I think you will be more careful after this incident happen.

Getting that money back depends on luck, so when you have free time, try to track that address.

 - If the address is for a platform, contact them, explain things, and the money may be returned to you.
 - If it is for a user, you will need to find out who the user is then communicate with him and try to send money to you.
 - If you have been scammed (clipboard hijack attack), it is better to reformat your hard-disk to avoid such cases in the future, while checking the address before sending.

Everything that will happen depends on luck, so why not try your luck. Cheesy

You are not anymore assuming at this particular point. The worst has happened. The transaction has already been confirmed. There's no turning back anymore. There's no more replace-by-fee option. Bitcoin transactions are irreversible. Your money is already sent to the wrong address.

It's sad that this lesson to be careful in the future cost you a couple hundred dollars. But it's all right. You're not alone. Even theymos made such mistake. At least you've learned your lesson today. This same carelessness might cost you a much bigger amount in the future. I hope that possibility is now gone.

The transfer is done, but I don't know where it went.

Since the transaction has been Confirmed - stated just above the transaction hash - you can't "reverse" it (neither by using RBF in Electrum since the transaction has been "implemented" on the blockchain").
Perhaps you were a victim of the clipboard hijack attack[1]. The virus behavior is simple - whenever he detects that you've copied a btc address (for example), whenever you past it somewhere the virus will automatically change the address to one owned by the hacker. If you don't check the address and confirm the transaction blindly - as in trusting the Ctrl+C , Ctrl+V - I can assure you that you'll send the funds to someone else. If you're unsure, LoyceV has a neat guide[2] - How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V - where he explains the measures that you can implement to protect yourself from similar attacks.

The conclusion is simple : Quadruple check the address where you'll transfer your funds to. When I mean quadruple check I'm meaning that you should check the entire address - I've recommended just checking the first and last 5 digits but, on a second thought, I think that it's better to just confirm all of them.

Regarding claiming a "refund" on the transaction I'm not sure if you'll have any luck in recovering the funds. You can try blockchain analyzers such as Crystal Explorer[3] or Breadcrumbs[4] to see more information about the address, but don't expect to find an e-mail / cellphone number attached to them in order to ask for the refund. I would start considering the worst case scenario and assume that those +- $200 USD were lost.

Any way I can trace who it went to?
Sure, just insert the address or the TXID on a block explorer: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/

Did you pick the address by mistake or do you suspect it was just there when you pasted it in the text field? 'Cause if it's the latter your computer may be affected with something malicious.

You can check this thread:

if scam happened - updated with information

Although, yours is about sending bitcoin to a wrong address while the link I posted is about someone that was scammed, but you will find tthe answer to your question on the thread.

It will be highly be difficult to trade bitcoin address if it belongs to a noncustododial wallet. Even if it is an exchange address, it can also still be difficult to get your coin.

Do not trust any recovery service, they are scammers.

Maybe if you contacted them explaining your problem and if Binance uses RBF, they could try to double spend it. I highly doubt, though. With their stupidly high fees, it should be confirmed before you even submit your issue.
With the exorbitant fee for withdrawal on Binance, Binance still take little amount from it which is enough to get the transactions the exchange broadcasted to be confirmed in the next block. Before he will contact Binance support, before Binance support will respond or take action, the transaction would have been included into a block by miner, making the transaction to be confirmed. I think the money is gone unless someone owns that address and feel pity to send the coin back, but the chance for this is very negligible. The coin is probably gone.

So, you withdrew your money from Binance to an address you don't own? Unfortunately, you can't do anything. If you had sent the money using a non-custodial like Electrum, that allows you to double spend (using Replace-by-fee), you could have some chances of conflicting it.

Maybe if you contacted them explaining your problem and if Binance uses RBF, they could try to double spend it. I highly doubt, though. With their stupidly high fees, it should be confirmed before you even submit your issue.

Not your key not your coin. Supposing you are using a noncustododial wallet like Electrum in which replace-by-fee is enabled by default, you would have used replace-by-fee (cancel) to send the coin back to another address on your Electrum wallet with a higher fee before the wrong address transaction is confirmed. On Binance which is custodial exchange, you can not do this.

Once the transaction is confirmed, you can not be able to use replace-by-fee, in case of next time if you used Electrum.
