Was going to give the BTC to BlazedOut but he told me this, "Just keep it - glad it worked. I have had that happen before in the past."... I wouldn't feel right not giving it to anyone so KnightDK gets it since he helped too.
I can confirm that I received the Bitcoin. TXID: 3e20d18387bbaf56aafb646562b5066926b55af7b6dfc6bddc331162905a9448

Grab a pair of needle nose pliars and grip the bracket right above the hole that attaches to the socket. Very gently pull down towards the socket and then outward once it has clearance. Take your time and do this very slowly. You should be able to pull it down just enough to let it release.

I can mark your picture if you are not clear on where to grab it.

Yeah I'll need some marks on the pic please...

Edit: nvm got it thanks... Can I get your address?

Glad it worked for you! No need to send me the Bitcoins just keep them.

push the lever towards the ram to unlock it

then press down on the top of the leaver towards the montherboard and unclip the silver metal bar under the clip from the plastic that goes through it

next twist the heatsink from side to side gentle and pull up

like this
https://youtu.be/Hvc5rrb9MYk

This. Push down on it and pull the lever away afrom the heatsink as to pop it off the little plastic piece. Should snap off after that

See that little metal square with the blue plastic square in it? You need to pop that metal up so that the plastic is no longer inside and catching it. Do that on both sides. Then the cooler should be able to be pulled straight off.

It's still not wanting to come off... And take a closer look at the lever the locked and unlock symbols don't make sense...
You might have actually just locked the lever. Perhaps it never was locked?

:/ beats me... I'm gonna sleep on this and try it tomorrow...

Well you pull the lever to the left (in the orientation of the picture) and it looks like there might be a tab that you need to push or pull to release the lever. The tab would be beneath the lever by the lever's hinge.

Got the lever pulled with some brute force... Now what?

Nice build by the way  Smiley

Since I don't see a cpu cooler in that build, I am assuming you are using the default CPU cooler with the MB. From the installation instructions in the manual here: https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/1828/2290/9f/dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM3+/M5A99FX_PRO_R20/E8043_M5A99FX_PRO_R20_V3_WEB.pdf (diagrams on pg 58), it looks like you need to pull back the lever on one side and on both sides push in some clips on both sides near the bottom to release the cooler.

Thanks and the lever is just bending the whole thing and won't undo.

pull out your motherbroad and cut the lever from the back side

Usually a little press down and towards the CPU will release the lever and you will be able to pull it up.

Yeah, that's not working... :/
