You did reveled your account number identity. You did not blur your account number in the picture you shared.

I think me maybe a legit owner. The picture he shared the email is from 2013 not recently.
he could have hacked the email account

It doesn't matter, I just took it off the table. Like I said, it was small trade, which I don't need to make.

So all you you proved is you are sneaky piece of shite.

You fucked with me when all I intended was an honest sale.

I did not mind being told to do x, y, z, but accusations, from a person like you.

I'll remember this.

i asked you to prove that you legitimately owned what you were selling to a buyer privately, instead you chose to publicly reveal the identity of your hacked account.

I am still waiting for that signed message.

You know this is different to your remarks, but are playing me, which will do you no favors. Very clever. Yet I have nothing to lose. You can take it up with BTCtalk if you are so concerned. I suggest you do.

Like I explained earlier, I'll remember this. Good luck with your business.

If you don't hack this account what country are you from? Do you use proxy or tor on this account?

I will try to examine your accounts.

1- you assume that you did not reveal the identity when you in fact did.

2- a) you need to be more careful when trying to protect the identity of the account you are selling if you want it to keep it secret. b) if you are resetting the password via email then there is a very high chance that it is hacked and there is no reason to keep it secret if that is the case

Are you able to sign a message from the address in question? If not then the account is 100% surely hacked

If you cannot sign a message then there is a good chance that the account is hacked.

I take offence at that, especially the jump of logic.

A "beware" is relevant, given the issues surrounding scamming, of which I have been the victim of myself.

But the argument used is not even valid. It's utterly absurd.

I'd also like to know when you last beat your wife?

I can't see a way to solve the issue without excessive time, and a hacked account had not even occurred to me. I thought the issue would be payment, escrow, and all that sort of thing.

I'm not a bitcoin account trader, and I was not really expecting a sale anyway, which is why I put the 0.25 reserve on it. I did not intend to commit to a sale at 0.01!

I can see the issue I have, so I'll just let things be.

* Edit .. I see you are a dealer in accounts, and adopt the "used car salesman approach" there.

Comical.

If you are not willing/able to sign a message then there is nothing that would stop you from later claiming the account was hacked in the future, and upon such claim there is nothing that a buyer could show to give evidence that such account is not hacked. This of course is assuming that the account is in fact not hacked, if it is hacked then the same problem would occur except instead of it being from you, the claim of the account being hacked would be from the 'real' owner of the account.

edit: can you at the very least sign a message from  which you posted here?

1. How did you access that information given I had not revealed anything?
2. Why did you reveal the identity of the user account?

The second is sneaky as fuck, the first is deeply worrying.

It's no longer for sale, it was an idea, and I don't especially need the money it will raise.

Please answer question 1, and in a way that does not reveal more details about my identity.

Please PM me with a price.

And please do what Quickseller instructed, sign a message.

he already refused to sign the message
Thanks for being so helpful, but I don't like the idea of linking my wallet like that.

Plus, I changed my btc address when I discovered the ease of electrum. Before that I used exchanges (yes, Gox was one)

It's not a big issue, if people are interested, fine. If not. that's okay, I'm not expecting a bidding frenzy.

I can give things like snapshots from 2013 of emails, PMs, posts.

But these only indicate I am the owner.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I've got one if anyone is interested, I've not used it much in the last couple of months, so have no need of it.

Any offers, just PM them.

Or make a bid, I'll leave it until the 9th March, if that is how it goes. I'll put a reserve on it of 0.25 if people want to bid on it.

no bad rep with it.

NB: I personally didn't make much with sig campaigns, but I didn't actually use it for that purpose, so was never on here making posts just to earn payouts.

not really , if you can hack someone's account you probably have their online wallet account aswell :l
generally speaking people take better care of their money then their bitcountalk accounts. Also they will likely access their bitcountalk accounts more often then their money giving more attack vectors to hack a Bitcointalk account then to steal private keys.

Are you able to provide a signed message from an old address associated with the account in order to prove ownership?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean.

Do you mean like a PM or email sent to me?

If you explain the process, then I expect I can do what you suggest.

Instructions as to how to sign a message are here. The account will have to have posted a btc address at least 6 months ago and you would need to sign a message from that address to prove the account was not hacked

Thanks for being so helpful, but I don't like the idea of linking my wallet like that.
