Yes meta is the correct board to discuss your ban. It is also ok to create a new account to discuss your ban, but using this new (or any other) account to post anything else (including PMs) is not ok. I see you posted in the alt section today, this is considered ban evasion is certainly not helping your cause.


Ban appeals are rarely answered. Under the assumption that its your first ban and the ban evasion was not punished, it should last ~7-10 days. Sometimes BadBear forgets to put the time into the message. If the ban evasion was punished the ban might have been prolonged to 30 days.

If you need to contact someone durring the ban you should do so with other means, e.g. via mail. If you have not exchanged contact information in the past you can AFAIK change the signature of your banned account, to allow others to contact you.

the way you speak dosent looks like you are that old ,by the way a perma ban always comes after some previous temp.. ban's
guidance :- try pming badbear after a week or two.He is the only hope for you now.

Not sure how the alt coin section is moderated but I do believe mods ban those who constantly bump their own thread or use alts to bump (not saying that's what you did). Others in that section probably reported you, getting the attention of the mods.

Means you are permanently banned, if a certain time period was not specified along with the ban message. You are posting it in the correct section, what I meant is you are not allowed to post in any other board, other than Meta to discuss about your ban. You "as a whole" were banned and if you keep posting from other accounts , you are likely to get IP blocked or something, this will worsen your current account ban if it was over-reacted to by a moderator. Ok thank you. I was banned on October 31st 2015. Question: Am I posting in the correct place now?  I dont know who banned me, it said to email a theymos email address (which I did 6 days ago). Can you help me determine what this means?  THANK YOU!!! I am so devastated over this and need some quality guidance right now. I respect the moderators here, and always have. I help anyone any way I can. Im a good person with a good heart that just made a mistake.

It would've been done by a Global moderator, not sure why they would consider Altcoin ANN board posts off-topic but if they gave a perm-ban to a hero member they must have had a good reason. And when exactly were you banned, I see you have made posts today, FYI making posts outside Meta while being banned is not accepted.

Guys Im DEVISTAED!!!. I have been a member of this forum for 1.5  years. I have contributed over 2600+ posts of quality content. Ive helped more new users than I can count. Im highly respected in the community and WAS a proud hero member. In the two years ive been on this forum, ive NEVER had a problem, not 1. A couple of months ago I released my first coin, fly coin. Things were going great, so great that I began to look for an additional dev. So I posted a few messages in the same place I ALWAYS post for everything, in the altcoin announcements. Almost all of my 2600 posts are in there. Anyway BAM, I get banned on October 31st 2015. My jaw almost hit the floor. I thought for sure this was a mistake. I didnt threaten anyone, I didnt advertise, I wasnt vulgar. It was a very simple posts that said "hey guys, things are well with my coin, and Im looking to add another dev, if anyone has talent PM me". Thats pretty much it. It took me a while to read the rules and discover this was "off topic". Now whats concerning is there is no date on the ban. If I made a mistake and its a 10 day ban, then Ill take my punishment. Just respond and tell me. Ive made a mistake, by not reading the rules, and I will wait it out.  Ive reached out to badbear and theymos. Its been 6 days and no response. Im a good member of the community, and this was a simple mistake. I was very apologetic in my email to theymos and badbear. Neither has responded. Can I really get my hero account banned forever for accidentally posting in the wrong thread!?!?!? I cant even wrap my mind around that. I BADLY need to update my OP of my coin as so much has changed, but I cant as it was created with my hero account. Theymos if your reading this, please sir, lift the ban on Vegasguy, or atleast repsond and tell me how long the ban is. This was a simple mistake, that I can assure you will NEVER happen again. My sincere apologies.
