I could prove ownership of the bitcoin address involved in the trade if needed but i would have to get a 3rd party involved.  Another idea is just to leave the account up for sale for a few weeks though, no rush my end.  The price is good someone will buy it.

Yes that might be true but signing a message is the best way to prove ownership.
Tip for you : Count activity jumps since the number of post/activity is same and then you can predict the activity and add it to the OP , Consider if the are 20 total jumps  than you can Edit OP saying Full member with potential of Senior member . Will help you sell the account easily

Posting is the same as activity in the 120s.

The proof could be via a succesful trade i made on the account, a bitcoin address could be involved, its a bit of a hassle.

Another idea is i just leave this account up for sale for a few weeks, its hard then to say it isnt mine.

of course he can tell the potential activity he just needs to count how many 2 week periods he posted
