It is what he thinks and considers based on their experience, research, and also what they are earning so far. For some people, Bitcoin is not only the first cryptocurrency, but this is the most trusted, worthies, and also the most valuable cryptocurrency compared to others. I do really agree with this. Bitcoin is the best and none can compete with Bitcoin in some terms. there may be many altcoins that have various benefits, concepts, and also leading technologies than Bitcoin. But, they are not able to compete in terms of value, market cap, trust, and reputation. Because not all altcoins are able to survive in any condition. However, I also don't think that all altcoins are trash. There are still some worthy altcoins, but not much.

Let me start by saying that bitcoin is different from cryptocurrencies.
I'm not against the existence of altcoins, but let's be clear here, there are altcoins and there is bitcoin. All other coins more or less copy the idea.
Let's not forget that altcoins are securities and bitcoin is the only commodity. That single feature makes bitcoin superior. If people can't handle the facts, too bad for them.

Uhm because he's right? If you consider yourself a bitcoin purist/maximalist maybe get yourself checked? Just because bitcoin remains supreme in market cap doesn't mean all other coins are useless or irrelevant. I'll have you know that after 2019, bitcoin hadn't made any significant impact in the redefinition of the cryptocurrency industry besides the occasional bull runs it initiates. DeFi, NFTs, and many more have come from altcoins and we can't just sideline how impactful these ventures have become not only to the profitability of bitcoin but with its social media traction as well.

Quote me on this, Bitcoin maximalists/purists who see bitcoin as the end-all-be-all of cryptocurrencies and currencies at the same time will be the death of this industry. Their delusion and their capacity to gatekeep bitcoin will hamper with the progress of this industry. They'd literally bar people who see great potential in the industry with their actions.

I think being supreme is subjective. For me, Bitcoin is too volatile as a currency to be supreme. Bitcoin Maximalist as usual see Bitcoin as the only superb currency in the whole world and I do respect that since they see something in Bitcoin that others don't.

For-some-reason-still-an-unpopular-opinion: you know why there will be multiple cryptocurrencies? Because a huge majority of "cryptocurrencies" are actually not trying to be currencies. They're trying to be pseudo-shares of whatever platforms. Most people still think that all cryptocurrencies are trying to beat bitcoin in the currency/SoV category.

It is not matter of abuse or demeaning altcoins, if I had to guess I would say that the fixation for Bitcoin over other assets it is a natural and collectible way of thinking to counter the infinite rain of shitcoins and blatant scams seeking for rob us blind.

In my own point of view, it is healthy to stick to Bitcoin or have both Bitcoin and some altcoins which has proven to be legitimate projects and have a reasonable use case.

Toxicity is something we can find almost in any community on internet and the Bitcoin/ altcoin community is not an exception. Let us be reasonable and do not spread hatred without reason, regardless of our portfolios.

And yes as it is now bitcoin remains the only unique cryptocurrency because the others have either failed in their quest to correct loopholes they think bitcoin has or they on the verge of failure. Well bitcoin still remains the supreme coin among all coin, anyone thinking something else is on his own. Despite we have other currencies it doesn't means they can't operates independently without bitcoin and we know too well that is the first digital currency that gives birth to other currencies through the formation of bitcoin all other coin where created out of it. I don't think if there were no bitcoin if other would like exist for that we give respect and maximum regards to bitcoin because is the way maker for other cryptocurrency.
