It's surprising how many people are older than you'd expect on this forum. Considering the old adage, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks," it's pretty encouraging to see all ages learning about bitcoins.

I'd guess the final euphemism, "old-at-heart," will be replaced by "bitter old bastard" once/if I hit 40. At 60, I'd guess the only question left would be "why aren't you dead, yet, you emotionally-crippled piece of shit?"

Wait until females discover they can buy shopping things using bitcoins.  When you see shoe and handbag stores using bitcoin the female user population will explode.

Or wait until they find a Bitcoin sugardaddy. Make sure  to keep your BTC balances to yourself, peeps haha.

wonder why there's not many women involved? it's mostly because of douchy posts like this.

i'm female and i have more BTC than any other developers in my office (which I've been trying to convince them to buy/mine for ages. sucks for them)

30 btw, javascript/RoR dev

This thread needs to stop being bumped, and instead the Poll should be bumped.

Oh great!

When I click your link through Firefox, I get this:

"This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to 109.201.133.195, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue."

Shit.

My $.02.

I'm 30. Started... uhm... not sure actually.

I started when the 5970 was like the UBERGOD of mining. BFL was already taking orders for ASICs and people were already annoyed and angry about the delays.

12, I turn 13 in December.

Start young, be rich when old.  Grin

How about start young and get rich while still young?

Sounds like more fun!

I strongly believe that the VAST majority of Bitcoiners are GenY (21-35)

It's the generation who suffered the most by the endless economic crisis & cost of living pressures in the past decade, many their youth years entirely wasted under the currency economic system. Naturally GenY had to look elsewhere.

23 myself, about the same age as other persons I know that know about cryptocurrencies.

It was better to have a poll here, rather than people posting in their age. Now it is quite tedious to calculate the average age.
