Another alternative way to get Bitcoin using credit card is through https://brawker.com/.

Brawker shut down in April 2015. Their website still lets you create an account, so don't waste your time.

I know virwox.com accept CC but we know about the high fees on virwox... they make it possible but at the same time they will get a big profit from your transaction with the high fees.

If you can buy using Paypal (had your CC integrated there obviously), then I would choose to go for Localbitcoins as instead of going for an account and giving CC details, I would prefer to buy it using LB as escrow.

You wont really find any options that offer based off credit cards.

Or else it would of been a really known service, the only way you can utilize your credit card is probably invoice yourself on paypal and then cash out, then buy bitcoin.

I believe coinbase does offer it.  You have to link a credit card to your account and get it verified.  It's required to have a CC to get the highest level on coinbase.

Coinbase really doing a fine job enabling ease of use to buy bitcoins from.

But in some circumstances the credit card option would work. Would like to see what others think and even more hear from someone who has used this option. Like find out who has used what as far as credit cards go.

I have successfully bought 0.3BTC from VirWoX (ref. link) just one month ago. The first withdrawal is processed manually, mine was sent about 40 hours after credit card authorisation. You must first buy SLL with credit card, then buy BTC with SSL, when withdraw BTC. Fees are high. But it works, and it's been working for *years*.
I can confirm this...it also works with paysafecard so you can stay 100% anonymous but for paysafe there is like 20% fee sadly..

Since I have been digging into the bitcoin and altcoin subject. I have seen sites that offer the option of buying with credit card. I have considered this idea but how does that work. You go to the site and buy a few with your credit card and get a confirmation email then see the coin in your wallet. Is this all there is to it.

Has anyone bought coin using credit card?

I am looking at sites like https://cex.io/buy-bitcoins, https://coin.mx/, http://www.plusbitcoin.net/buy-bitcoins-with-credit-card/

What your thoughts?
Yep you will have to get vertified but if the card isn't stollen then where is the problem? Coinbase is the best way for you if you are from US.

Credit card companies don't like Bitcoins. Therefore, they are pretty risky to exchange. The fees has to be higher to cover the risk. I believe you can use circle to buy Bitcoins with credit card. No worries, they are trusted.

Yeah you can use credit cards to buy bitcoin on circle (US residents) but the OP would have to provide several forms of ID (can be a pain having to wait to get verified). Saying that, I'd be wary of giving my card details to sites that do not require any other forms of ID.

Easiest way to buy Bitcoins with your credit cards in the US is Coinbase and Circle.  There are some verification hoops to jump through, but after that initial setup, it's all easy peezy.

Another alternative way to get Bitcoin using credit card is through https://brawker.com/.  It's a more roundabout way, using Brawker's online marketplace to fill an order to receive Bitcoins, but overall trusted by most accounts.

Thanks for the info dudes. I did some checking while I was out today and learned some. The ones I checked into require you to verify yourself in some manner. Some required you to scan certain ID's depending on the country you were from. Like with me being from the U.S I would be required to send in a high quality scan of my Drivers license. And that require a couple of days to get the transfer.

Some sites even though they say "no hassle credit card use" you go through the sign up process and then you find out that credit card option is only for a backup funding source.  I did find a couple that would let you buy and transfer bitcoin right away but without being a verified member you were limited to only a $500 purchase in any 24 hour period.

Ideally for my needs with a credit card usage I would like to find one that would let me do ............. say a $2000 buy and even if I had to pay 7% or 9% in fee's I would give it a try.

As far as checking their reps, yeah I know. That's one of the reasons I was asking on here. You guys have given me some good info and are trustworthy.

I am still checking this tread in case anyone has any more good info.

One thing for sure, always double check the place you are buying from (especially with credit cards) and make you it is a well known place to buy and check for positive feedback.

Also if you have to use credit cards you might look into one that you can do "virtual credit cards".  With this you can set limits to card and also not use your main card with a large credit line chances are.
