Hi, I'm new here. What is a good wallet?

hello, based on my experience so far:

mycelium for your android smartphone (https://mycelium.com/bitcoinwallet)

electrum for your desktop (https://electrum.org/#download)

paper wallet for long-term savings (https://www.bitaddress.org)

..and mainly, try to avoid storing any portion of BTC on any online service.

i would suggest bitcoin core or armory if you can download the big size of them (40GB)
but if you want and SPV wallet i suggest using Electrum.

Hi, I'm new here. What is a good wallet?

There is planty of them , but I would suggest to go with Desktop wallets like Bitcoin or Electrum or Multibit HD . (I do use Bitcoin Core)
Here is full list of wallets : https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet (depends on what Operating system you plan to run the wallet on ) I don't suggest to use Online wallets like blockchain.info or any keeping your money into an exchange web
