Probably ethereum. But Bitcoin is the first coin and most known so it will be hard to pass it. But there are a lot of other coins with you can make money in the future.

Thank you all for your answers.
What worries me most is that although there are many altcoins with better technology than BTC ,  it doesnt seem that this affect people .

I believe most do not care about the crypto technology rather are driven by profit creed and hype .

So i think that we will see various other things first (e.g. goverments and or banks involvement in the area) rather an altcoin bypass BTC

Thank you for your time reading this.

I think in a few years from now ,
there will be a crypto capable of handling all the worlds transactions and can be applied as a common currency.
Bitcoin wont be able to do this right now ,
but who knows how much they will improve BTC or if it is easier to just come up with a new system .
The algorythm will have to change to a higher standard in a few years from now to stay secure but i am quite sure they will keep developing more and more to keep BTC in the game.
So a reworked version of BTC might be able to overtake the lead , maybe ETH .. who knows , its all speculation.

Hi.. Noob here too.

I think chances of alt coin bypassing BTC is low, however it will only take a stream of bad press/mis-haps for it to happen. Similar to way no one predicted BTC will cost USD16.5K in 2017, no one can predict others too.

My policy is to cover all my grounds and spread invest. I will loose money on some, hopefully gain more on others to cover losses.

It's a bull market today just like stocks or forex I think if there's a good market they will show the good news as well to get more to come and when it's bad it's the same to take it down more.

I think it depends on how cryptocurrencies are adopted over the next 2 to 3 years.
I can see a market for smaller, faster transactions rising rapidly as it becomes more ingrained in day to day life of people.
Im also a newb, though, so this is all just conjecture, my own opinion really.

It's really hard bypass BTC.

But i think some of child of BTC such as BCH or BTG will be great value in near future.

BTC take too long to send and receive and too high fee.

Just personal opinion.

Regards !

Ethereum may be the alternative of BTC. It also running with full speed like BTC. So you can trust with ETH.

Hi everybody

Glad to be here since i see a lot of useful stuff i can read and learn.

Btw i wonder , do you think is there any chance some altcoin will bypass Btc in the future ?

Predicting the future is like RSVP-ing: Yes, No, or Maybe. It can go either way. If you're buying or trading, understand what you're doing first, get to know your coins and the project behind them. Trade responsibly. Wink

Ethereum's ether token is most likely to spur the change, given it has increased  about 3,000% this year with no signs of slowing.
