I know its really hard to maintain and improve the product but this upgrade that take a long years is so irretated, I like ethereum a lot but take a look at the price its continue to falling down I hope ethereum will fixed all the problem and make some bounce from this downtrend.

It will be disappointing if the 2.0 upgrade never happen in 2020, many ICO projects are in low due to ETH low value and if eth can recover its ATH value it will be very profitable, i hope 2020 will benefit us all

I hope such won't happen because i am waiting for ETH better adoption and the Staking feature seem to be the better chance to ETH adoption, it will make sense if the upgrade is complete before bitcoin halving hopefully

They didn't set a specific date or year in the roadmap though. Despite their large and well-funded team, they've been pushing back dates since last year and we shouldn't be surprised if they do it again. It just shows how huge the project is and how serious & careful they are in making all these upgrades/redesigns.

Ethereum's pivotal redesign, Eth 2.0, is likely still three to five years from execution.

Rather than hurrying into a general redesign, engineers for the open-source blockchain stage are as of now chipping away at a suite of present moment fixes to improve the wellbeing and sturdiness of the system, as indicated by another blog entry at Ethereum.org

What do you guys have to say about this? Many are waiting for this upgrade before bitcoin halving, seems its never going to happen

wait, whaaa? i mean, i know alot of my buddies always joked "it will NEVER happen" but geez, 3-5 years? i really thought PoS would be in 2020
i guess i shouldnt be surprised, how long will it take them just to get their new high school teacher CEO up to speed, prob 2 years there alone : /
oh well, more time to accumulate i guess, as i still think it will be a good long term project, just maybe a bit longer till new ATH then originally thought...lol

I don't really anticipate the upgrade but if there are problems with higher priorities that need to be resolved I don't think it's wrong considering that this upgrade is a massive one and there are possibly so many problems going to happen, it just needs more time to work.
It's better to have a fully working system in the future rather than half-baked upgrade that could possibly mess the whole thing. Though, it will lose all the hype if the delay is too long, therefore, made a little impact to market, price wise.

what will be doing by ethereum is not only upgrading the protocol but that means re-design all of the ethereum structure without eliminated the features that already exist. I thought that if those people understand if that will take a few years for ethereum to complete all of the updates. Remember ethereum has an intention to change its consensus to the POS.
with the large scale of blockchain and so many users there and that's why ethereum must give a proper design to make sure if the update will not bring ethereum to the failed project.
that's it usual thing to see that happen with the large scale of blockchain like ethereum.

You have to understand that the upgrades and code improvement is an ongoing and lengthy work, just be sure that the main new version will be launched soon and then the partial improvements and upgrades will be added later and the process will continue this is normal for such a large scale public blockchain and smart contracts network.

I don't think it was even mentioned like that by the project team member. Its just extrapolation of the information from the interview. Its very hard to believe if that is the case.
