This is such a bizarre thread and part of me doesn't believe it's serious but if it is...

All of you wallets should be in your C:/Users/username/AppData/Roaming/CoinName folder assuming you only installed clone-coins and the newest version should be easily located on these forums by finding the associated forum thread.

If you do in fact need someone to do it for you, for whatever reason, I may be able to assist. PM me details.

This proposal sounds like I leave a open house and screaming in neighborhood, that somewhere inside are hidden money and you can not find them ..
Everyone know what will be the end.  Grin

This is asking to be robbed as the majority of the users here cannot wait for a better occasions than this one. I would trust Shorena as a very good member in here, but honestly I would not trust anyone to give them access of my PC where I am holding my bitcoins via teamviewer, you can kiss goodbye to all of your bitcoins. Look for some google guides of how to recover your bitcoin wallets, also look for help here in the beginner and help section, but never trust anyone via teamviewer, no matter who they are. Just remember the story of that guy here who lost 180 BTC and 3000 LTC for just clicking an email link.

Dude, I would be very, very careful about this. The odds of you being scammed rather than helped must be  90to1.

NEVER, EVER, EVER under any circumstances trust ANYONE with you private key. The reasons why you are not updating could be related to:

1. The version you are using.  Make sure you have the latest version of whatever wallet you are running. Wallets may not be compatible, so if you were using bitcoin QT (now called Bitcoin Core) then download the new version of that wallet. If you used Electrum then download that one.

2. Your password or pass phrase. If you set up a password then you will need to find it. Without it there is no chance of recovery.

3. You have not synced with the network. This can take a long time, like many days depending on your connection.

Lastly, It is super important to back up your wallet file. In Core it is named "wallet.dat" This file contains your private keys and without it there is no chance of recovery. SO BACK IT UP FIRST! Make three copies, you can't have to many, but zero is too few. Never share your wallet!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, you are right about those things and I expect the guy asks some strong collateral, guarantees for preventing fraud.

Reading up this thread, i think that it's scammer trying to scam another scammer. C'mon, wallets not updating.. wallets on his PC that he can' find..
You can't be seriously believing him, right?

The other dude you quoted wants to rip op off, yes, but op is probably also. I'm interested in what shorena will find, but i have a feeling he will turn him down with some lame excuse.

I haven't opened my wallets in a few years, and several of them are not updating (Bitcoin and several altocoins).

Need to hire someone to help me with this.

Also, need to search my computer for additional wallets I can't find.

Thank you very much.
may i suggest you to really be careful with who try to approach you for proposing their help...

just a good advice..  Wink

Indeed a good advice.

Shorena would be a very good option if you ask me: either for technical competence and reliability.

PS: that bolded part puzzles me  Roll Eyes
