btw, I have a feeling that OP is not intentionally doing this.

I am actually break even with playing there. I think there is an issue with the automation, and it is not working as expected anymore.

So I should have won on this transaction? Betting on the 1.1x.

Lost another 0.15 on the blockheight before that but that was my fault haha

Edit: https://blockchain.info/nl/tx/41b72e38b0bcf33dc0c42f95881c0841018c4bf569fb858fe61a823e10050256

Yes, that bet is a win.

OP is not responding Huh

i don't know why many members come into the trap of newbie scammers there is another trusted person offering that kind of service betting on blocks, i already tested that it's legit service

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/crowexcom-free-bet-promotion-win-bitcoin-977090

that person is not active any more in the forum last active on  March 21, 2015, 03:57:14 AM, i also tried this service so no doubt that is legit and trusted. i think www.crowex.com can be used for that kind of betting using smart cotract protected by private key.

Just a caution to anyone sending bitcoin to a newb accounts address.

If anyone would like to try a game like this with a more trusted escrow, we are happy to provide a test run.

Just send a PM.

I agree that it is highly risky to send a newbie user bitcoins if knowing if you are going to have them back, the user can dissapear without consequences.
If you create a site and put some effort and work, and gain a reputation in the forum you can get a good profit for your work

Hit the Block (Player's Edge Betting)

Hi this is my first commercial betting program. It's so simple to play.
Let me know if you have suggestions to improve it.

Win 18x your bet:
Send any amount from 0.01 btc to 1 btc to:
12468ZjBthJYXDeFKZywXfJi9bCacQtiQB
You will win 18x your bet if the following conditions are met:
1. The block height of your transaction is an even number (ends with 0,2,4,6,8).
2. The last digit of the block hash is equal to the last digit of the transaction hash. (this happens 1 every 16 times)
Notes:
Only 1 bet per transaction.
If the bet is more than 1 btc, only 1 btc will be considered and the rest is donation.
If the bet is less than 0.01 btc, it is considered as donation.
If you win, you will get your prize using the first bitcoin address input (like satoshidice).
Prizes will be sent after 2 block confirmations.

Win 1.1x your bet:
Send any amount from 0.01 btc to 1 btc to:
13579cvHx6QukzwzYp6PuQvpwBgA4GFApc
You will win 1.1x your bet if the following conditions are met:
1. The block height of your transaction is an odd number (ends with 1,3,5,7,9).
2. The last digit of the block hash is not equal to the last digit of the transaction hash. (this happens 15 every 16 times)

If you have any problem, just comment and I will try to respond as soon as I can. I want to improve this depending on the reception of the players. You can test your wallet using the minimum bet to be sure that you will get your winnings. You can verify everything using any web based block chain explorer.

This is very bad and unprofessional. You should make a website and then do it. If you don't know web design then hire someone to do it. Because with your level of trust, nobody will want to invest any money there.

It's really rare for me to post these days, almost nothing interesting has come up lately. But this seems rather promising. I second the suggestions above, get a domain, set up a site, get an escrow and lower max bet (at least for now). You could get some players.

This could be interesting.

Did you get the previous winning instantly?

And from which address you got the previous payout? Because I just checked his address https://blockchain.info/address/1srcdhityWS2HPr2Wx22bAodMgtnJCRzY (Zero balance)

is this your payout https://blockchain.info/tx/15faa879f0bbacdfd0da0f7437463a91888f63313eaa75c26c2fdc90c032c367 ?
but it is only 0.11btc

First tx sent : 0.1BTC
Next : 0.21BTC
Waited 2 confirmations.

Got back 0.11BTC only though both are wins.  Undecided

Edit:
This address can't payout? https://blockchain.info/address/1JKj7xVZiaH3wzLhUhmK93jKVjbbXv9RGg

have you got your last winning payout ndnhc?

hope you'll inform us about it..

have you done this before? i'm cool with sending you 5 btc but how sure will it be that i am not the one being scammed? i'll sleep first and let the scripts run. when i wake up we can arrange the escrow. i have 30 btc in the wallet where the script is running for now. everything is automatic so those who want to try the game can play even while i sleep.

Use one from this list: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcointalk-escrows-trade-safely-855778
Preferably devthedev or Quickseller.

Good luck Cheesy

P.S. Try setting up a site too, I think they have more confidence in a site that pure thread. Dunno why. Wink

thanks for your help

btw. Don't you think the house edge is a little too high?

actually the player's edge is high as long as they can hit the right block

Sorry, I did the math wrong!!
wow.  Shocked Cheesy

But, what is your part of the cake??

i'm hoping they don't make their target block. that's all.

Sound like an interesting on-chain game. With a good domain and an trusted escrow, it could be a big hit.

And is the payment will be sent to the sending address or it will be a players choice where to recieve it?

The line "If you win, you will get your prize using the first bitcoin address input (like satoshidice)." can be found in OP.

Yep. sorry, I added the quotes in the message. Wink

Do you want  an escrow? I am willing to be one.
No fee. Tips appreciated. kind of ecrow. Wink

seriously? no fee? how can i be sure that it will be ok? how does it work anyway?

Yeah. the normal fee is 1%. But many escrows do it for free too. It involves just holding and releasing funds, right? I mean no other responsibilities?

It works like this:
1. You send a part of the funds to the escrow. say 5BTC? (less if you are lowegin the max bet) an amount that will cover any losses made by the participant.
2. Players play.
3. The security is that, if you end up scamming etc. (which is quite prevallent here, though you don't seem like such a person Smiley) the escrow will be able to cover the scammed amount of funds of the players.
4. If nothing happens, after a period or when the game closes, or when you requests, the funds are send back to you, after the escrow posting here letting everyone know that the funds are no longer at escrow.

You can also pick one from here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcointalk-escrows-trade-safely-855778
devthedev, and Quickseller is recommended, since they are around most of the time. Smiley

Edit: I got to go now. If you are going to use escrow, you one on the list.
Thanks Smiley

you send some funds to the escrow in hold, as a guarantee that just incase if you dont payout for the hit the block game. For the starting point of your game, I would suggest you to limit the max bet into either 0.1 or 0.05 and the escrow will hold the funds for the max possible payout of your game

i have 30 bitcoins in my ubuntu server running bitcoind and another 60 offline. how can i sign the one for this game? i haven't tried it yet, if you can help me that would be great but i will try to figure it out.

you can simply sign a simple message

even if the game is based on the blocks and therefore is not manipulated, you are a new user, and there are no guarantees that you pay after winning. you should use an escrow

payment is automatic, if someone's trustworthy enough here i can put up a security deposit or something to prove that i will pay

If you have any problem, just comment and I will try to respond as soon as I can. I want to improve this depending on the reception of the players. You can test your wallet using the minimum bet to be sure that you will get your winnings. You can verify everything using any web based block chain explorer.
