Thanks. Actually realized I screwed up the project I am working on pretty badly... I was using Polymer which is a Google web components framework. Everything looking great. Then I saw their browser support: none. Only Chrome. Wish I knew about that sooner now I need to start the project from scratch.

Hitleap is rubish .... do not pay your well earned money for bots...

I had my banners made on Fiver for $5.

In this way, I am also helping to fund faucets to help other people. {Your target market is not to sell VERY expensive items, and for that reason, I would target this method} 

If you use their Pagespeed tool, it should also warn you about issues regarding your site when viewed from a mobile.

Well, thanks for the heads up. I'm mostly reading about the mobile-friendliness, seems like that is what they are pushing the hardest on this release.

I'm currently working on a project for a client. I'd like to take the legit routes for SEO. Is there somewhere I can read about this new algo? I should be fine on the responsive side - I try the mobile-first approach. But if there are any other considerations I should be thinking about it would be good to know. As for traffic it seems like paying a little bit for an AdWords campaign is the best route?

Yeah people have been setting up a lot of servers to get views its only good for global ranking but local spots it won't do very well. Plus google is changing their algo on the 21st people should be more worried about if there site is responsive or not.

I've messed with these type of traffic inflators in the past. They are actual IPs but false views. Also I noticed a lot of malware coming with it.
The argument was that even though the views were fake, it increases your traffic and therefore improves SEO. Google is improving their fake traffic and click-fraud detection every day. They make millions (billions?) from their adsense advertisers, they work really hard to protect them, and thus that income. If they catch you fiddling with your view count they do what is called a "G-line" to you. This means, no matter what, you are shoved to the bottom of every search result that might include you. So in the long run, fake views only get you the opposite effect that you were going for.

Etsy, as widely derided as it is, has plenty of built in traffic, and you can ask to accept Bitcoin (shoppers have to PM you, but still....) There are a few other online marketplaces that you can run in conjunction to your own domain. There is also the "goods" section of the "marketplace" sub, right here on bitcointalk. built in btc friendly customers right there!

You would be smartest to study SEO techniques. You can make blog posts and social media posts that maximize your specific key words and lead the reader directly to your online store.  Look for websites and blogs related to what your selling, try and provide them quality original content, singing your own praises and directing buyers towards your site. I used to run a consumer advice website that was basically there to promote products and allow me to write whatever large purchases I made off my taxes.

I'd suggest google adsense, but I hate them plus I have never even once clicked on a adsense ad. I've asked around, and no one I have asked has ever clicked either. I honestly believe, despite google's best efforts, that 99% of all traffic from adsense is spurious. click-fraudsters and accidental hits. This is the biggest secret they keep from their clients!

I never said you could do that with AdSense or any other premium ad network. I just said that it can be done, and it's being done.

And regarding SERPs, I'm sorry but I'm not going to teach you the methods used to do that just to prove I'm right.

You're NOT hiding where the ad views come from. Even using URL redirects, iframes and forced headers. Don't give people the wrong idea and get them banned.

You will NOT raise SERPS. In fact, you'll LOWER them.

You *CAN* make them show up with the proper URL you want in Analytics (using iframes, redirects, or forced headers). That has nothing to do with the issue.

All of that applies if you are a newbie. You can earn with CPM ads, raise SERP rankings, count them in analytics PROPERLY and without anything suspicious...
if you know what you're doing.

The CPM "problem" can be solved, as well as the analytics one. There are ways to help site rankings with this software - maybe you don't know about them.

Holy crap. This thread has so much misinformation. It's clear most people here have never dealt with websites before. Let's try to clear some things up:

*Hitleap does allow YouTube links

*YouTube views WILL count. And you will get your account banned after an undetermined length of time. Congrats

*They are "good" if you are running CPM ads. And you won't get paid and/or will be permabanned from your network. Congrats

*They will NOT help your online site rankings at ALL. Zero. Not even a slight amount

*They WILL count for things like Analytics. And as soon as your advertiser asks to see the account log, you've lost any trust they might have had. Congrats

*ALL views are from bots. 100%. If you had 1500 views, 1500 were generated from bots. You will NOT get conversions. You will NOT gain readership. You will NOT get (insertwhatyou'regoingforhere). It flat out won't happen. Unless bots become sentient, in which case readership is the least of your worries

tl;dr: Hitleap will do NOTHING for you, other than give a false sense of "success" and get you banned/burn every bridge you have with advertisers.

Yeah traffic works only for increasing youtube viewers. But its not worth it if you are not earning money from it. I think hitleap dont allow youtube links?

I don't know, I just checked and the view counter jumped by 1 the moment I loaded a video.

If you want to get higher alexa rank, or if you want to get fake vews and get a lot of visits, but its not worth at all, you cant earn money with fake views, its really hard, just start your website from beggining and get seo to get real views, from social networks, etc..

Youtube have the ability detect fake views and ban your account especially if they are coming directly from the exchange as in referrer. most likely, YouTube needs the person to watch the entire video before the view is counted anyway so it won't be effective.

I don't think this traffic would work for Youtube views.

No Lexa do check the legitimacy of the visitor that are coming to your site. Say if you are getting tons of traffic in few hours from bots will the alexa ranking will bost up? No it will not bost up
