We have a 3 way tie here, but the strawpoll link shared earlier has Helios as the winner. Helios has been chosen. Voting will be locked.. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Sadly I can vote because the poll has been locked. In case I could have voted I would have voted for argon. Helios has won, well, but I do not like it : helios means sun, and here we talk about a gaz, so not very appropriate I guess...

my take ...

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.19943974

tho i do agree to quite a large extent with bathrobe hero - regarding confusion ... IF this goes too far with naming - it will be another eth ... not something you want - nor with making basic things into complex systems where there is no need for - that eth is famous for ...

Solid line of thinking.. I see votes being cast for Atom which Cosmos is already using. It would be nice to use something original instead - I will add your suggestion to voting the list. Thanks for the input!

How about Argon?

Not a bad suggestion. I'll add it to the poll. Adding suggestions is fine I just don't want to create too many options. Maybe we will cap the poll at 15 naming possibilities.

Most of this names will create more confusion. there are many coins/bases/projects with similar names.

I'd say some thing like:

ELMB, HelBase, HeBase, HeliumBase etc..

iam not understand, new coin with age coin still 3 month, but want replace and rebranding name
and until now helium coin still not added to exchanger

so if replace name or rebranding use good name, and choise youre vote, helium still above

This isn't to replace the name "Helium" itself. It is to give a name to the base unit.

I think fractions shouldn't be named anything. It would just cause another, unnecessary layer of confusion for no reason.

Ethereum's unit scheme (wei, kwei, ada, femtoether, mwei, babbage, picoether, gwei, shannon, nanoether, nano, szabo, microether, micro, finney, milliether, milli, ether, kether, grand, einstein, mether, gether, tether, source) is retarded enough along with 'gas'.

Additional names for different units/fractions provide no benefit at all, just confusion.

I certainly agree with you regarding the Ethereum confusion. I think the idea here is to pick only one of these names and stick to it.
