withotu bittrex HBN wont move much in price imo

cryptopia is not a real exchange, its sandbox
what do u mean by sandbox in this case?

Cryptopia is actually not a bad exchange. Excellent interface that works fast on slow computers, unlike bittrex and yobit that freeze for 30 seconds every time you switch a page. Good exchange for hbn longterm probably.

thanks. I was able to add those nodes and am now connected.
now 3 years of blockchain to download. hopefully not more then a week to download.

Use a snapshot from kiklo, else you'll have for a really long times, more than a week if you're lucky Smiley

recently I had a total hard drive failure and lost my entire HBN wallet, blockchain and all. I had to re- download HBN wallet. I do have my wallet.dat file from a backup to thumb drive from some time ago. I have been trying to reconnect to network to resync HBN but am seeing in debug go fill just thousands of "connect() failed after select(): Connection refused" For some reason none of the peers are letting me connect. Any suggestions for resyncing this wallet so I can import my wallet file and get back to my HBN?

You can try my current connections, configure them in the HoboNickels.conf file:

Quote from: "HoboNickels.conf
addnode=62.64.86.44
addnode=78.47.60.141
addnode=24.199.209.206

addnode=73.26.96.21

Chain stopped?

It's 1.5 day moving at one block per two hours...

I have 24 peers connected.

Slowdown started about Nov. 12 midnight.

what do you mean, not sync ? did you restart the wallet?, is your cpu fast enough ?

mine is running fine

Yes, thank you, for some strange reason, my wallet stopped communicating with all connected peers and continued to make stake, like i was on my own fork!

I restored a backup of last Sunday and resynced.

Bittrex would only be good for an exit pump but we will never get there and never be taken seriously without some active development

cool
actually hbn is not doing bad
when i see tek, hyp and others  Angry

hbn supply is small could get the price easy up if there was more buy support

tek has been unsupported for looong
hyp was a little redundant

i move all my wallet to an other computer

but when i close hbn (to reboot computer)
after reboot my database is corrupt
3 time i reboot computer 3 times database is corrupt wallet get error at start  Huh

for the cpu usage it s actually high  only if you don't manually make big piles, more piles you have and more cpu it eat
if you make 5000hbn piles cpu is low usage
i remember before i manually make piles , it used 1 full core cpu  but now it s less than 10%

HBN was connected to cryptsy (one of founders was the worker) we all got dumpedo n or we are.. still being.

i suggest to quit.. SADLY.

You can just delete the wallets and disconnect
Or hope for a better future
Or best forget about it and let your grandkids come back and see if it moved anywhere from 100 sat

HBN was one of the best choices once

A good lesson to be learned about technology here

I agree with you entirely.
