For altcoins I never go for a long term investment. I hold them for like 1-2 months. They normally give a good margin in that interval or they go really down. In latter case I dont sell the altcoins but hold it. In case of bitcoin I tend to invest for like 1-2 years. Bitcoin is best for investment. I occasionally do altcoin trading. I prefer keeping my money in bitcoin.
Considering it was at $930 few weeks ago, I would tend to sell now, but maybe we will see $2,500 soon. 
If you are considering that the price will go up $2,500 soon then just keep on holding. Actually I regret that I wasn't able to sold some when the price was still at $1,850+ as the price get back to $1,670 then if ever I bought some right now I've got enough profit already. But well, I'm a long time holder and I will always hold.

I couldn't agree with you more, yes there is no actual time of when to hold or sell because the prices of the coins are constantly moving. For holding the coin it is actually up to you until when you'd want to hold your coin and for selling, well if you are constantly on the look out on when your coin is pumping then you have to set a target price of when you also want to sell your coins.

but i think that we have to use our analysis and prediction about bitcoin that either it is still safe to invest our to wait for some time. but tome i think that there is still good time to invest your in bitcoin as the price of bitcoin is still going to increase. i agree with you that its time is really a great time to hold your bitcoin there is a lot of member are strongly sure that bitcoin price will be rise more than $2000 and it will be very profitable for you and we can be easily get a good profit from bitcoin.And bitcoin is still fluctuating until so the best way to do for now is just hold and not sell. Just wait for it to reach it's orice ceiling before selling. Because I'm sure that it will reach no matter what happened. So at the meant time just focus on investment or other things that will give you additional BTC.

Price growth is happening at certain time interval, so possibly it will be increase further as once again the pumping has begun moving towards $1700. We might cross the barrier in a short making way to reach a better price than the present. So people who doesn't have anything emergency it's good to hold.
that is very close to 1700 now and i am hopeful that very soon the price of bitcoin will cross the barier and hope that it will then reach to 2000 USD so we can expect that at the end of 2017 the price of bitcoin will be trading above 3000 USD level. therefore i think it will be a good decision to wait and not to sell bitcoin right now. So, I am holding it personally and will not advise to anyone to sell it right now. Wait for the moment it cross $2000 and then sell a little of your stock because I am hopeful that it is going to raise high up to $3000 without any major drop in the price till the end of this year or maybe in the first two months of the next year.
It depends on your strategy when time comes take your choice and enjoy the risk. I believe you are confused with yourself, usually, after read some news or share with somebody call " master ". There is " take profit " you must reach, never hold it. The simple meaning is discipline. Good luck
For me its better to hold first because if we need in times of crisis then we have to sold. And there are many reason to hold and the purpose is to wait the right time to sell when the price is good and high. This is also a good investment when the price is good and hold it again until it will grow or many. So i will continue to hold because it is safe..

i agree with you bitcoin is going to much more advance and i hope will be sooner available in our local stores and then i think bitcoin will be more rise its value to high point in the future so bitcoin will be more advance their technology in the future so hold is better for the future.
You aren't interested in spending your coins at the time local merchants will start accepting Bitcoin as payment solution. You just want them to accept Bitcoin so that the price goes up. Even more precise -- you're more a person that converts every satoshi that you have to fiat as that is your only point of importance. From there, I don't believe you'll ever hold much of your coins (if any at all).

good question and it will be depend on how you will support the coins eth and ltc shows some potential together with xrp and nembut its not the value its the uses will determine who's going to be next and will survive alongside of btc.
Bitcoin gets an accident due to the limit of the block size. More people gets disturbed caused by that problem.
This gives more attention for ethereum to be an alternative besides of the brother of bitcoin (LTC)
