When I heard about this site and I saw that they have some gave aways I believed that they are trying only to win the trust from people then people will deposit in the site and the will run away with the investments without paying
Does my scenario happened or what is the meaning of "game over " here ?

Basically, investments were coming it at an alarming rate and people were going crazy over at HD's website... one guy even deposited 5 BTC...

Well what eventually happened (all in about 1 day), HD lost ~7 BTC due to a "double spend" error in the automated pay out system... then someone who placed a bet on HD chose to not use miners fees and so the bet he placed never got confirmed, so when the payout came to his bet the system litterally just shut down... then all the sudden, out of no where, HD came out and said that another error happened with the automated pay out system and lost around another 7 BTC... from then on it was game over for everyone and he shut down.

Lol I am almost positive this "error" was planned all along. When you think about it, there has really never been a ponzi like this and it clearly works for the admin. If you are honest, and spoil people, you can eventually turn on everyone when times are at their best and steal everything.

Unless HD can prove that there was actually some error, we can safely say they are crooks and criminals. Shame on HD for being so deceitful and in the end paying a mere 4% payback to investors who lost so much.

I think that's what happened here. I don't think HD was really honest from the start. The reason I say that is because it seems they rounded up a bunch of investors and paid them very well with great referral earnings and great giveaways until they had enough bitcoins that were "pending" (enough that satisfied their greed) and then decided to shut the service down.

Now they claim that there was some API issue but if the admins were amazing coders, like the ones at major corporations it wouldn't take them that long to fix the issue. And I don't think it was the ponzi itself that collapsed, as there were new investors almost every 10 minutes constantly. Now do the math, if people pay a lot every single 10 minutes, a lot can add up in 100 hours so the admin shuts the site down, steals all the bitcoins and claims there was an issue.

They're trying to sugar coat a scam by paying investors who deposited over 0.1 btc with a *4%* return. That is not a lot. At all. If you deposited 0.5 btc, 50,000,000 satoshi, you will get 0.02 btc, 2,000,000 satoshi. That's peanuts compared to what you deposited in the first place.

The admins made great profit from this and will probably try and start up a new site. They'll say "we had errors, but we paid everyone back something." Don't trust the admin. They gained credibility by spoiling everyone and being *transparent* and now that there was enough to fill their greed they shut down.

Wow, so the famous HYIP is finally over, lesson learned to all those who have lost their investment.
And I thought this site will continue 1 month more.
There is no lesson to learn here. Everyone knows that this site will not last forever or not even 3 months and there's a risk of non-payment. The lesson I learned here is invest as early as possible first 2 weeks is the safest I think but still there's a risk of site will not pay even at that early stage.

The problem is the site could've stayed alive. It's not like there was some major hack and all bitcoins were lost, they say they "overpaid" some people (probably themselves) and to add to that they always had new investors coming to double. The could've easily stayed alive, the admins just wanted to steal everything now when there were huge deposits. I am sure that if some people hadn't invested 0.5+ btc the site would still be around right now waiting for that moment.

okay cool,
will you tell us with this account or will you open a new one?

Notify us admin when is your next game, we all trust your games and it was run very honestly, you didn't seem to steal any funds and I profited.

I can't believe what i'm reading, you guy's are looking forward for a new scam site?
It's like asking the admin HonestDoubler.com "when do you plan to rob us again"?

They're most likely the people who profited from HonestDoubler early on.

Like me.

Exactly. Now, I'm not the admin of HonestDoubler, or at least what was HonestDoubler, and I cannot speak on behalf of their organization and I can only provide mere speculation, but I am fairly sure that their site was working properly. I'm sure that these "API issues" never actually happened and that's just the excuse for shutting the site down as they shut it down at a time when HonestDoubler was doing really well. There was always a new investment every 10 minutes - and up to 1 hour. And those investments were really high, I am sure the admin could afford to pay everyone back but they can only provide 4% which, to me, only means they're going to launch another program in the future and they still want credibility.

Either way I am sure paying everyone the 4% is not a lot compared to the profit they made on this site. I have profited from this site but I would never invest in any of the admin's other projects. HonestDoubler had a lot of investments coming in and had the chance to limit high investments to keep the site running. But they didn't and that really says something about their "honesty."

You're right man! We should have to be an early bird in able to get profit from ponzis, Im also an early bird in honestdoubler , made profit and stopped before the site turned into shit Grin
I'll take note of that early bird strategy, but it's hard to find a new one, some don't post for announcement here that they launched a new site. Most who announced here are just users and looking for referrals not the actual owners of the site.

Even if HD were to come back at any time with HD2.0 or something of the sort, it certainly won't gain as much traction due to the fact that he literally lost 14 BTC due to an error in the system, and because of the system crashes that are due to people not paying miner fees...

But I'm sure HD will come back in a year or so under a completely new alias and everything... Who knows, maybe HD did get a large following/group of supporters that will follow him to the end.
That's actually what I said before. You've got it exactly right - they probably will come back with an alias.
You need new investors to keep the ponzi chain going.

I invested early in this program and received two successful payouts - I was about to invest again but I rethought that decision as the program almost made it one month.

Although I earned profits I feel very sorry for those who had invested in this program and are either receiving 4% of their investment or nothing at all.

I am surprised, however, that the admin is still responding to most people. Most ponzis will shut down, run away with all earnings and never respond to people. They are very honest with their program and the fact that it shut down but I must ask how did HD come up with 4% for investors? I mean, it's not that much especially if you invested above 0.1 btc. Any investment that is 0.5 btc would receive 0.02 btc (4%) in return which is worth peanuts compared to their initial investment.

Either way It's a good thing investors are receiving some return and I congratulate HD for being totally transparent and honest with their program.

It was a good program while it lasted, but all ponzis must come to an end. Good luck in the future and hopefully any losses for most users don't cause them any damage.

Honestly, I ran TheGrandBitcoin with an investment of $30 and rolled more than 250 BTC in 5 days only, and of course I didn't spend any money in advertising, translations etc. Pretty lucky I would say loool

I gues if we would add something like "we are a professional team of arbitrage traders, who don't know what to do with their btc. And we will double your bitcoins guranteed in 100 hours... and so on" Probalby, we would role thousends of bitcoins now. But our intention was not to collect as many coins as possible, it was more to implement a long term doubler, that is honest from the beginning about the operation system.

Btw 30$ wont even cover the server.

You are talking with me supermoney dude  Roll Eyes not gonna talk you much about me but TGB was built with:
  • $10 offshore domain (Bitcoin payment)
  • $4 PositiveSSL provided from Comodo (Bitcoin payment)
  • $10/weekly Windows Server 2012 R2 Google VPS Intel quad-core, 8GB RAM, 120GB HDD (registered with real identity from an Indian guy and then sold to us - fake PayPal)
  • $6 VPN (Bitcoin)
  • Free CloudFlare
  • Advanced Alexa Ranking (free for 7 days - $149 monthly, of course I didn't renew since the Ponzi collapsed in 5 days only)
We ran a Bitcoin daemon server for our own node - and yes the entire script has been coded in about 48 hours.
No need to purchase premium advertisement, you can do it by yourself if you stay 24/7 (for this week of work only 'cause the Ponzi will collapse soon, don't worry) in front of the PC promoting in all possible sites and forums (HYIP, PTC, OMM, Crypto, chats etc.) and then studying the charts of Alexa so that you understand what's the target you need, the contents you need and so on.
Just wanted to say that you don't need all this money for a perfect game  Grin

PS: TGB wasn't a scam, we was charging fees on each deposit. Did we face bugs? Yes! Outcomes going to random people all over the world (imagine now guys in India receiving 1 BTC with no reason loool) because of bugs in reading blocks, so I had to refund many BTC from my own pocket (luckily I'm a good gambler and won about 10 BTC at satoshimines and satoshibet)  Tongue
