Hope there's still another one craving Pizza. Cheesy Freshly ship from the Philippines LOL
The story of Pizza Day is how a small thing can have all this value over time. 10 years ago, you could get 10 thousand bitcoins easily and without having to work for a long time, but today you may need to work for a lifetime to get 1% of this amount.
It may be easy now to buy 1 bitcoin, but after several years it may take you the rest of your life to accumulate 1 bitcoin.

Honestly, it's a lot easier to just buy a gift card and order for yourself but I guess for people who would do this, it's more of a "for fun" rather than "a need"

I think he's joking. The options were limited several years ago, but now the available options are very numerous, and you can choose between them to choose the cheapest.
The first Genesis block got rewarded with 50,000 bitcoins which is a fortune at the present market price of bitcoin, in the last 7 years ago one can easily earn bitcoin through a faucet or just gifting as its worth was low and affordable with a big reward on activities but 13 years down the line as you have rightly said it takes lots of efforts and hard work to get a small amount of Bitcoin.
The Bitcoin pizza story is a good example of how easy it was to get Bitcoin back then. But at the moment we can still consider ourselves as the early birds compared to the high percentage of people who don't know what bitcoin is at this present time.

To answer original response, I guess it is not about shipping it from anywhere in the world,,, rather it is the person buying it for the orderer, just like the original person did on Bitcoin Pizza Day.

Order from phone and pay by card, or order online and pay by card, and the recipient simply paying back the amount with BTC.

This was how it was originally done right? Wink

I don't think so. I'm not getting any "joke" signal from their post.

True. That's why "for people who would do this, it's more of a for fun rather than a need". The pizza day is a commemorative event so it's not impossible that someone out there might want to commemorate, but maybe we're too early for that hahaha. still, it wouldn't hurt to do an interest check at this time.

I appreciate all the comments and understood all the points sir!  ☺️ It's just like day dreaming that someone would able to do another history like that. Even 10,000 BTC that time it has still a value.

Ofcourse sir, i will do that hahaha. Any flavor! Anytime! I will.

That's a very amazing story, someone bought pizza in exchange for his 10,000 Bitcoin which is supposedly a big amount today, you can make even hundreds of Pizzas factories on that amount right now.

@Miguel 11th, if you're in this thread when laszlo asked Pizza in exchange for Bitcoin, would you create a pizza for him and accept the Bitcoin payment, I saw someone commenting that the 10k Bitcoin isn't worth it at that time.

What's a great story in Bitcoin history.

Anyway sir, this is just that i'm very much amazed with that story. ☺️
That history and start about the bitcoin pizza are always one of the biggest contributions for bitcoin and that's why we're here and where it is right now.

Just to give you some heads up, it's also posted on this section when laszlo asked for it.  Smiley

Here it is: Pizza for bitcoins?

I mean sir, if it's the same with the Pizza Bitcoin Story. I will do my best to  give it me. You are right sir, i wouldn't able to ship any Pizza "freshly" from here in the Philippines to US haha. But i will order him a Pizza instead online in US.

Anyway sir, this is just that i'm very much amazed with that story. ☺️

So if i'm coming from US, how would you ship it from the philippines? or did you mean you'll order it yourself?

In any case since we're talking about microtransactions, I would look into LN especially if you're targeting Philippines which has a lower purchasing power. The problem is escrow since you're not reputable enough, you need it and might have a hard time getting one. There's also the personal information like full name and address that you might need to get which could pose a problem for a lot of users...

Honestly, it's a lot easier to just buy a giftcard and order for yourself but i guess for people who would do this, it's more of a "for fun" rather than "a need"
