There are many problems already in hostgater. I also heard many complains about this. This not really good there are many good site than this you can use this.

There will be some restriction on it's terms and they wants to avoid the term of cryptocurrency but don't know why they are not willing to adjacent with cryptocurrency.
First everyone need to read appropriately it's terms and condition because there should be some restriction about crypto and that's why people face some problem with those sites where they want to work with crypto.
That's not bad but I also feel some problem with godaddy when I tried to build up site belongs crypto. But I think if anyone get help from experts they should be avoid this type of problem.

I think they are already in good business without hosting any crypto related websites. Though cryptocurrency is making positive progress in many places, some community still take it negatively and hostgator may be one of them.
Well there are many other alternative domain and hosting services. I guess they would be happy to accept your website. It is okay if they don’t want anything regarding crypto but someday who knows they might accept crypto.

I signed up and paid for a hostgator plan. They wanted me to send in two pieces of ID which I did. Just becuase of the domain name, the fraud department contacted me asking the following:

If you want an honest opinion, they have only acted in good faith and that's how business should be run. Have you witnessed a crypto exchange site, that would deny you access to your own funds because of some ID verification, or any flimsy excuse they could come up without even giving you the option to respond. They even have the courtesy to ask you to provide responses to certain questions before refunding you. I guess the reason they refunded is because there must have been a timeline they expect response from you in which they didn't.
Its really not about hating bitcoin or crypto. Its about their own business and policy which they hold dear. The policy might change tomorrow, but as at now, that is what they have to comply with. Its not out of place for companies to behave that way at this time as the uncertainties is much for them as no business owner would want to start having issues with regulatory bodies because of some few dollars.

Whatever became of Namecoin? That's one of the oldest alts of all with a use case that'll become increasingly compelling as time passes. No idea how clunky it is but I do find it strange how invisible it has become.
There you go! One project, and it wasn't even the ones I was thinking of. It features right here in this investment "experiment" LoyceV's hosting and seems to be one of the ones not entirely flailing in the altsea. Really erratic trading volumes and prices since the last 2 months. Can't say I've used any of them, really. My hosting and registrar affairs barely run into double-digit dollars.
I do see use case, just not sure if it's mainstream enough to convince people to switch over. I generally lump alts into one corner never to be looked at or used, but you're not wrong to point out old projects that actually did genuinely try to do things different.

Unlikely from you, I would call them haters because this hosting service provider with godaddy is pure shit. They offer unlimited space but if you exceed 500mb, you get a warning from them (I was developer and had many websites).Anyway, try out Vultr.com
OP personally I like namecheap, resellerclub and hostnine too but first one is better in overall. Also germany based hosting providers like hetzner aren't strict.
There's no need to call them Bitcoin hater when you don't know the other side of the story. May be they are afraid that somehow the security of their platform can be compromised due to linking it with any Bitcoin related site. So, tell me now, who wouldn't want to keep their own business safe? If you put yourself in their shoes, they have done the right thing in my opinion.
