everyone certainly has a different opinion about the hottest altcoin. in my opinion the hottest altcoin this year is bitcoin cash and litecoin. yesterday's high rise in bitcoin cash was quite interesting and if I saw litecoin price movements always following bitcoin. and the percentage increase is also higher than bitcoin. so in my opinion if bitcoin can pump high this year then these two coins will also pump high.
In January 2020 there are indeed a lot of altcoins moving, and even reaching All Time High, yes it is BSV, but in my opinion it still cannot say that now is the altcoin season, why? look at the dominance of bitcoin, still high above 60%, if the decline in dominance can be up to 40% then I'm sure all Altcoin that has good fundamentals will also move up

Many altcoins can perform well, but I suggest a few altcoins that should be investing and if not yet buy then buy them for 2020 because it can be more profitable altcoins.
1- XRP
2- ETH
3-HYDRO
4-NRG
5-ICON
XRP, HYDRO and NRG don't look good for me as there was a big question about what was the utility usage from those coins. Another major coin that has a better utility usage looks a very good choice to be our portfolios.
It looks like we are missing another good coin like tachyong too.  Cheesy

I think Energi (NRG) is hottest Altcoins in this year. This year they listed may exchanges and  Big news is  Energi Gen 3 smart contract will launch by the end of February 2020. I also support litecoin (LTC), Binance coin (BNB) and Bithcoin cash (BCH).

Perhaps this year I will follow Ethereum more closely. It remains only to wait for the transition to Proof-of-Stake. If we talk about coins not from the first hundred-it is Pundi X. Recently, the project presented its new gadget, and in General it is developing consistently.

What do you think the hottest alts will be this year?

Very interested in getting strong opinions on this.
Certainly many who want the price of altcoin to rise, but I do not expect old coins to expect more  new coins, expects the arrival of many IEO projects in large exchanges that can provide confidence and profit for each investor to be able to blend so as to create spirit for work earlier this year
Nah, I don't think that new coins will make a good run this year rather for the old coins unless it was pushed by hypes. But we are looking for a sustainable market that could able to work for a year or more and sustain it not just in a short period of time.

I believe that ETH is still the hottest altcoin in this year.

But I see a very different ethereum movement that does not follow the rise in price of bitcoin with the incident I feel a little disappointed, I look for other alternatives to look for new coins even though as you said only has a short time does not last long like other altcoins

The choice of altcoins will come from project with high marketcap and longer year of launch for the first part of the year. They already have big community and experienced team with accrued money from bull market. They are listed on the top exchanges and coin is sparsely dispersed. Used case might not be as important considering the coin like ETC. Tezos is more in the news and could bring good profit also. we could look for exchange coin but cant say anything about anonymous coin this year.

Cryptocurrencies building decentalized trading platforms, and decentralized applications in general is my best guess.

Blocknet made almost a 100% gain recently, due to their work on decentralized oracles, and their first mover advantage on their DEX, which if it takes off, will pull a LOT of hype all over..
It wouldn't surprise me if it does a 100x eventually from this point moving forward.

he said in 2020 or maybe in the middle of the year bitcoin will reduce by half, for me personally this is positive news because if bitcoin can reduce by half then this can jack up the price of bitcoin and also some other cryptoqurrency. Is not it?

I will not talk much about this, but I will only say about my current ownership such as BTC, EOS, Ethereum, LiteCoin and also BinanceCoin. I personally prefer the top coins in the market at least to minimize the risk of investing in cryptoqurrency.

What do you mean by the hottest altcoins? Are you talking about the altcoin that will experience huge change in its market value or the altcoin that will gain the attention of 90% of people in the crypto space?  Please explain further to give some of us clear understanding of your post...

I think the hottest altcoin this year is BNB or ETH. These are the 2 best altcoins in the cryptocurrency market, and if this year the market grows strongly, I believe that these 2 altcoins will help investors get a lot of profits. In addition, we can also monitor Dash, I do not rate this project too highly but so far it has performed very well. Prices have increased by 300% in the last 2 months and it may also bring us many surprises

We all do have different perceptions toward what will be the hottest Altcoins for this year 2020. In my point of view, and I strongly believe, Ethereum, Ripple and Litecoin are the ones whom I trust to become one of the hottest Altcoins for this year. Maybe other people will still not appreciate the improvement on the prices of those Altcoins that I have mentioned but still, I find those three valuable and do have the potential to grow out this year. We are just getting started for this year so there are still lots of happenings and possibilities to come forward that can contribute to the rising of their prices and can make them belong and be coined as one of the hottest Altcoins of this year 2020.
