I'd recommend getting the exhaust heat right beside the windows.
You have no idea how bad this ventilation looks... it's the key to cool miners, ventilation, not cooling!!
Miner chips themselves don't give off much heat, most is absorbed by the heatsink.
If you keep any of that hot air indoors, with all that cool air, you're pushing shit uphill.
I'm re-doing my entire mining room to put the miner's exhausts directly to the window, relayed with a fan.
Right now, I shed 30 degrees last year, from around 60 just by proper ventilating.
You can AC all you want but you don't even need an AC with proper ventilation and AC is useless without proper ventilation.

Just a real bad set up... hope this helps... worked wonders for me.

To me this looked like a fire waiting to happen.  50 degree C really needs some more cooling or exhust as no gear is recommended for this.

Personally I would fix exhaust and add fire extinguisher's.

When I look at this, it makes me rethink on getting actual physical hardware and just go win something for cheap on ebay and exchange it to sell here on the forum.

And then get 1 sold bitcoin, instead of getting a massive electric bill and energy to maintain all of these things.

Its cool to look at though, but just doesnt make much sense to me esp when I know the coin can go down at any time of the day.

You forgot the hope that the coin can go up anyday. Many miners are in BTC for the long term, as this is still considered the early phase for BTC.

Just buy bitcoin if you think it has a bright future, buying miners are a bad idea even for short term or long term.

He s got a little bit of everything, lots of different miners. I would not differentiate that much, just go for the most efficient one.

A nice farm and there's no fire hazard since the space is empty and the only things that could catch a fire are the miners.
Is the farm secure? Looks like it's on a 2nd or 3rd floor of an old industrial building of some sort.

What do you mean by secure? Meaning, no robbers to come in a steal miners? lol. It is in a building.

unless it's on 3-4° floor, it wouldn't be so hard for a thief to steal something

better to lock everything there

Wow, that is crazy. In the comments on that page, I saw the link below, which is even crazier.

In October of last year Motherboard gained access to a massive, secretive Bitcoin mine housed within a repurposed factory in the Liaoning Province in rural northeast China.

Crazy. Just...crazy. 24/7 always having security. And what the....3%? Never even knew that xD

And obviously the workers play LoL in their extra time  Tongue

That setup is cute, wouldn't say the same about organization.

I think the owner did his best to keep them separate. If they're too close, it can heat them up quicker and that's very bad. So space is good, since he had alot of space, he tried to use it to keep all machines cool.

Smart if you ask me.

I thought mining was way too unprofitable from ages ago... Although this rig looks pretty cool.

*Sigh* Who will transact our money 10 years later?

I think if Bitcoin keeps making its way back up, mining can be more profitable. Maybe once it hits $1K+ again

If it doesn't...

You obviously have the cooling under control, sort of, what are the electric costs there? I agree that 50C is plenty hot (well over 120F for us non-Celsius folks).

I don't actually know, it's a really old friends'. All I know is the apartment buildings have a set maintenance fee each month that you pay anyways. So, you can use up as much electricity as you want and always pay the same thing, mining or not. Very convenient.
There has to be more to that contract, like a certain kwh per month that can be done. Because in life everything isn't always free...

Nope, there's nothing more. I'm not sure if this farm has free electricity, but many apartment complexes provide what I said. There's no catch.

They're going to notice if you're suddenly pulling $2000 in electricity per month...  Just because there is no catch in the contract, doesn't mean that they wont make a catch when they see the insanity

In the alps there is a lot of electricity generation going on due to all the rivers and streams that they can use to power the turbines.
Every time I go cycling in the alps I am amazed at how many power plants there are, EDF are the main ones.

I wouldn't be surpirsed if they offered locals either free or reduced price electricity given how much they make locally.

they must pay a fixed rate on electricity, therefore they can afford to do that for tenants

Nice setup but way too much cable everywhere. This is a big non-ptofessional farm.

But nice to see thinks like that!  Grin
