Learning takes a lot of time so never expect to learn fast because it may seemed you’re only here for quick profits, which will never be possible to happen. And if you want to be a significant member in the forum, then always take advantage on learning everyday so that what you will know and learn, you can share it to others and benefit from your post. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just learn and enjoy in the forum, and when you think you’ve gained good skills and experiences, then share it to the forum so that they will also learned from you. That way, you’re doing your part in the forum actively.

I was about pointing out how the OP needs to get rid of the mindset of his learning been fast. There's no benefits in been fast when it has to do with finance. Always take you time so you can understand what you're getting yourself involved in. You don't have to complete your learning before you can invest in Bitcoin so that shouldn't be an excuse why you want your learning to be fast. If you go with such mentality then you'll also be attracted to quick profits which is very bad and can lead you to losses.

OP you're not obligated to contribute to the growth of the forum financially or with any skills that you have. All the forum needs from you is your quality contributions while interacting with others on the forum. Just obey the unofficial rules of the forum so you can stay out of problem as we have those willing to scarified their time to make sure you pay for the offends you have committed on the forum. To help you with understanding how things work on the forum, do more of reading then replying. Observe others, learn from them and improve on your writing skills.

Please what are  the fastest ways to learn about bitcoin? and how can a software development student meaningfully contribute to the forum?

Op is on the right track here to get knowledge from seniors in the forum, maybe from some of the posts above by other forum members Op has found what Op wants, maybe a little advice from me if you want to look active and good in the forum we recommend that Ops learn from other forum members who are currently conducting discussions, and we suggest trying to contribute appropriately and provide correct and good assumptions.

You will learn by consistent engagement on the forum. If you try contributing on a complex topic use the search engines and read on those complex things try breaking them down to your own understanding that way you will find discussing with your mates fun and when the hunger to dive deeper comes you can then try: https://learnmeabitcoin.com, remember learning never ends in the crypto space so other materials are also available as well as videos on youtube to get you moving.

Hello everyone I'm new here.
Please what are  the fastest ways to learn about bitcoin? and how can a software development student meaningfully contribute to the forum?
I'm not aware of the fastest nor the most efficient way to study Bitcoin. However, if you want your reference to be inside this forum, the best thing would be to read and engage on Bitcoin topics on our Bitcoin boards (Bitcoin Discussion, Development & Technical Discussion, Mining, Bitcoin Technical Support, and Project Development).

If you're a software developer student looking to contribute, I suggest exploring our forum's Development & Technical Discussion Board, Meta Board, and Beginners & Help Board. These boards offer valuable insights into our community and industry discussions, giving you a better understanding of what we do and how you can get involved.

Familiarizing yourself with our forum is also recommended.

I don't think telegram is a good place to refer to a beginner in cryptocurrency. There is 100% chance he would end up getting scammed.

I wrote only about Official news from the world of cryptocurrencies. Also such channels as the official Binance channel. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend news channels as they are different for each country and language. Just a beginner should be aware of what is happening now, let him not understand everything, but you need to know the latest events. This will save the beginner from the scam.

Hello everyone I'm new here.
Please what are  the fastest ways to learn about bitcoin? and how can a software development student meaningfully contribute to the forum?

It's very simple: you need to develop and expand your cryptoknowledge horizons. To do this, you need:
1) the easiest way is to watch channels about cryptocurrencies on YouTube. You will definitely find some that can be explained in a language that is convenient for you.
Great idea and I haven't seen this advice but I remember my early days in the cryptocurrency, when I visit YouTube, there are good information there and since it is virtual, it helps for easy assimilation.

2) read the telegram channels, but only about the news of cryptocurrencies, not about the advice of traders.

3) read the forum, there is ALL the information that can make you a professional in cryptocurrencies. Local information is unique.

Please what are  the fastest ways to learn about bitcoin? and how can a software development student meaningfully contribute to the forum?
what do you want to know about bitcoin, is it the algorithm behind it or is it just what bitcoin is used for?

if you want to understand the ins and outs of bitcoin and also the technology behind bitcoin then you can read the whitepaper of bitcoin itself, books about the basic of bitcoin & blockchain and mastering of bitcoin.

but if you just want to know about using bitcoin, then just buy bitcoin on an exchange that is currently available and then store it in your personal wallet safely or you can try to make a transaction (sell - buy) with bitcoin.

or (since you are a student of software development) maybe you can learn how to make a wallet or develop the exchange yourself.

If you want to learn fast, you need to read quality resources and avoid junk discussions. Most of the topics in Bitcoin Discussion, Economics, Speculation boards are not worth the time reading them. Development and Technical discussions is a good board, also you should get knowledge from Bitcoin books, Bitcoin wiki, Bitcoin stackexchange, blogs of Bitcoin developers.

Greetings and welcome to the forum! While I understand your desire to quickly build your portfolio, I must caution against taking shortcuts. As a newcomer to this community, it's important to approach things with maturity and recognize that achieving your goals will require significant time and effort. I recommend studying threads from experienced users and following their lead rather than seeking quick fixes. Remember, there are no shortcuts to success.

Software development?? That's great to hear if it was about you - cus it sounded like you Aksed on behalf of someone else.
I mean, you've got a greater advantage as a software developer; if you're doing it multipurposely, then I suppose you've got so many useful ideas that peeps in here would appreciate.
First of all, you've got to follow the rules in here ... ofcourse you should know that every coordinated site like this would likely have 'em rules....they aren't some kinda hard ones either, but the penalty for flaunting them could result to a perma- ban. The Grand rule is "avoiding plagiarism" or copy pasting .... You could prolly rock on to the technical board and share you ideas as well.

Hello everyone I'm new here.

I think there is no shortcut in learning the economy and technicalities of Bitcoin, but there are lots of tutorial videos and articles scattered on the internet.  Since you are a software development student, I think it is best if you read the whitepaper and understand it.  You can then visit https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin  to see the history and development of Bitcoin.  This will also give you hints on the programming language used to develop Bitcoin.  You can also check Bitcoin.org for more information.

As a software development student, you can participate in this board to gain once you acquired knowledge about the technicalities of Bitcoin or ask question if you have some confusion on the technicals of Bitcoin:

Don't ask about the fastest way but rather take all slow since you need to digest all the information available since this could help you big if you want to make all things especially on your investment to be placed in good shape. Thinking about rushing all things might put your capital at risk since there are so many scammers promise easy riches to people here and you might fall to good to be true offer by those frauds.
Don’t be too serious actually because that will make you tired eventually. Learning will not happen in just a day or week, since it needs couple of months and even a year before you can finally say that you know a lot. Unless if you are being greedy to make profits, then it will never work in the forum and you might only lose your capital in the long run. No need to rush. The forum and its members are actually always friendly and always ready to help you grow inside and out, just trust the process.

Based on my experienced how beginner fast learn and contribution in forum start first with your local board, easy for understanding when discussing about Bitcoin, altcoin and forum guide when using your local language. I don't blame with any one have understood well with Englis language but as beginner is better start bitcointalk forum on local sub board. Seems all countries have each local sub board and there are almost the same guide with global board for giving step by step how to start in bitcointalk forum.

All people have giving global board about step to start in bitcointalk, if you understand well with English language is not matter but not bad ideas when your beginning first on sub local board.

Goodnight, o_e_l_e_o 🌹
Hello everyone I'm new here.
Please what are  the fastest ways to learn about bitcoin? and how can a software development student meaningfully contribute to the forum?
Welcome. You may have heard alot of things about thos forum from different quarters. Of all those things which you may have heard, I know that the one that must have stood out the most was getting merit to advance to the next level and which makes one eligible to be accepted into a signature campaign.

What I am saying is that take your mind off merits. Because it will make you begin to spam, create low quality topics and replies, this would lead to you being on the ignore list of most members on the forum. To contribute effectively, focus on high quality post not two liner posts. Read more about bitcoin and stay up-to-date with the latest in the Bitcoin ecosystem that way, you'd be able to contribute to the conversations that go on here.
You summed it up and it might be what the OP wanted to hear or know. Surely you gave them the right replies but the OP should try to be active here if possible on a daily basis.
Some newbies will make a single post and exile. The OP has even tried to revisit the thread to read responses.
Some will just create and dump the thread and go on to open some other threads they will also not follow up.
