And this is where you'd use the business portion of your brain and evaluate:

Should I spend $28,749.50 to change my Username on Bitcointalk? Or is it cheaper to create a new account with the username of my choice instead?
And what if your name is your brand and you dont want anyone to misuse it and someone has already registered it? can it still be regain by becoming vip or donator?

That's where intellectual property rights would come in, you can file a copyright claim in that case.

It is free to create a new account and the username should not be taken! Spending thousands of dollars to just change the username does not worth at all.

You need to learn about sarcasm like a normal human being.

Sorry, I made a clear error when doing my math. It should be $2,874.95. Still, clearly not a fair price to be paying when you can simply create a new account with the username you prefer. Of course, then you would lose the identity you had associated with years of use of your previous account.

If you were multiplying by 50, then you had it right the first time. I don't know what the value was when you calculated, but it surely wasn't $55 per.

I also wanted different name but mistyped. Is it possible to change it?

You have 14 posts, and your Activity is capped at about two 2-week activity periods. You might as well create a new username instead of hoping for a miracle.

Because i created it two years before you registered on this forum.Cheesy

so i had seen someone called “ndnh”, which his name was originally “ndnhc”. how can that name changing be possible? i don’t even know how.  Huh
how can i change my username?

Adding onto what has already been mentioned here, ndnh has already addressed this issue here.

The question has been answered and an earlier thread (the one I linked to) has already discussed ndnh's specific case. You should lock this thread to curb any further sig spam (you know who you people are).

Approaching theymos aside, if my memory serves the only other way to change your username is by acquiring donator status ie. donating 10BTC to the forum.

i dont think that why anyone wanted to change the username when he or she created the account that time itself they should have given the correct details.

further more i also dont know much about it. or else you can do one thing is create a new account in which name you want.

I dont think if its possible but only the admins can do that, and I'll never heard someone changed their username here in forum but if someone already did, well just contact theymos and badbead, he is the only one can do that

Ask the senior admins
Errr, who are those 'senior admins"? AFAIK, there are just 2 administrator in this forum, they are Theymos and Badbear.

Quote
they can change your account name but they won't change in most of the cases but if you request them with the reason because of which you want to change your username they can help you!
how could you know? Did you already tried to change your name too before?

I just noticed if "izanagi" already changed his name to "izanagi narukami" now.

Posts your new username here. Theymos would grant some username change from time to time.
Lol that is not how it works. You need to talk to theymos directly and ask him if he can change your username. If you have good enough reason he may provably allow it. Another option is to be a vip and donate 50 btc and you can change username anytime you want.

Ask the senior admins to change your account name, but  most of the times they won't have time to respond to your request. But, if your request is legit and reason is valid then they might change the name of your account.

you can change your name if you want if you become a VIP on this forum by donating 50btc otherwise you can try sending a PM to any of the admins but that will be very rare for your request to be granted

i don't think that there is any way to change your name but you can try to contact to the admin of this forum . i am sure that they will tell about this change that you can or not . And i also think that you should donate some btc to this forum to get a better help .
