What are you doing yourself to help bitcoin grow ?
I am a member of a small growing Bitcoin and crypto community. Our conversations on that platform is centered only on Bitcoin, it's technologies, as well as other cryptocurrency. We do admit new members to the community and it is like a snowball technique. That's how we help Bitcoin grow. On a personal note, I help Bitcoin grow by reposting Bitcoin related news, guides, and all things Bitcoin.

Use it.  It is the best thing you can do to help.  When ever you get a chance to use Bitcoin, do it.  Whether it is paying for a vacation booking in Bitcoin, paying for groceries, purchasing Gift Cards for your local shopping, paying your bills if possible et cetera, there are a lot of possibilities and the more people are using these payment processors or Services, the less likely it is that they give up on Bitcoin.  More over.  The more we are using it, the more likely it is that others will start accepting Bitcoin too because they would be missing on Customers and Profit.

Thank you for those ideas, I will begin research for making a lightning node/electrum server (I remember searching for Lnnode 2 years ago but it was a little complicated for me and I didn't finish it)
It would be ideal if you try to find a specific purpose in everything, why you are doing it, not only because you want to make a contribution. Your contribution will be much more useful if you do something that will work even without your daily physical engagement.
Over time, different problems always appear, direct or indirect. It is a greater contribution to solve such things than. I would say that the number of nodes is not the weakest point of the Bitcoin ecosystem.

I totally agree with you. I was thinking to help small shops in my town to accept bitcoin and help them install a solution but I found that they were not interested sadly (I asked like 20 or 30 people in the center of my town but they took me for an alien or something ^^)
So yeah I know I want to do things with Bitcoin because I am hooked but I don't really know what to do. Running a node was easy and I love working with hardware so that was my first choice while thinking I was usefull for the network.

Thank you.
Another way to help Bitcoin grow is by creating a public awareness or educating people about Bitcoin in your community, which can be done either directly or indirectly via the use of social media depending on government policies regarding Crypto in your geographical location, whereby you emphasize on creating a flyer about Bitcoin related key points such as; "importance of saving in Bitcoin", Why it's good to invest in Bitcoin, e.t.c. And there are several ways a public awareness can be made, as you can either create a blog dedicated to posting educative piece about Bitcoin/Crypto or create a YouTube channel where you teach people how to use Bitcoin related tools (e.g Wallets, exchange or projects).

However, What I am doing myself to help bitcoin grow is by assisting and educating people who don't know about Bitcoin but wishes to invest in it to achieve their dreams. I also help people convert their Bitcoin into fiat currency (p2p).

If you have any business you're running or managing, you can add Bitcoin as your second payment option. If you see someone that is interested in Bitcoin, you can also educate them more about the technology. Some person just know the word "Bitcoin" and nothing else.

I wish I could but I can only get paid in FIAT as I receive money from a large mainstream company.
I have received one payment in BTC so far from a friend because I painted his appartment Smiley

I'd say two things. To support privacy run a node over tor. And to encourage the use as a medium of exchange for small payments, run a lightning node. Especially, IMHO, the privacy part needs attention since it is the Achilles heel of BTC.

I’m not sure if you’ll like the idea, but here in the forum, one of the best ways to grow your Bitcoin is by lending to trusted users.

You might want to check out the Lending Board..

I think OP was asking how to contribute to Bitcoin, not how to make more money. Smiley

As far as I know, there’s only one major active lender here, so this could be a good opportunity for you. Although, it’s considered high risk since most loans are unsecured, but that lender has been doing it for a while, so it seems to be profitable I guess.

I'll check that thank you, I didn't even know it existed Smiley this forum is huge and I didn't check it all Smiley

Run a Lightning node and open a few channels and try to get people to route payments through you.

Run a Bisq client and open a few offers.

Operate a Nostr relay.

Start an Electrum public server.

Use your sats to donate to important projects that need funding.

The possibilities are endless.

I'd like to know how I could contribute more ? (I don't have dev skills so no coding for me)

How about paying for goods or services you usually use with Bitcoin? VPN and email provider/account usually are easiest option to start, especially if you still use Google Mail and use internet without VPN or similar option.

I've done it a few times but I'm still stacking and I don't have a lot ^^

Hello everybody !

First I would like to thank everyone here on this forum. I always have found people helping and being respectful so that's great !

I've been interested in Bitcoin since 2019 and each year I learn new things and dig deeper in the rabbit hole.

I run a full node since 2 years 24h/24h
I run an avalon nano 3 miner since a few days for fun and you know... the very thin possibility to mine a bloc one day !

I'd like to know how I could contribute more ? (I don't have dev skills so no coding for me)

What are you doing yourself to help bitcoin grow ?

Thank you.
