Its true that you should first learn more about btc (or other coins itself) through reading in this forum.

Now, to increase merit - you should put up great quality posts that will also be helpful and informative to other users, especially the beginners. Then wait, if other users liked your post they'll give you merits.

So remember to always give contributory posts to this forum.

based on what I have read on some posts, merit is significant for us to increase our ranks, is this really true?

You must have required both activity and merit to increase your rank, not merit only. If you have requirement merit for legendary ( 1000 merit ) but you not have activity requirement for that rank, you will not rank up to legendary. Example of this member nullius
He have 1300+ merit but only have 252 activity. His rank is Senior member now, to reach Hero member (480 activity) he must wait for 4 months, and to reach Legendary he must wait for 8 -12 months more.

Back to the topic How can I increase my merit?
For short... Create constructive, useful, and high quality post
Here are some guide to get merit :
Newbie's Guide to Getting Merit (Proven)
Guide to earning merits
TMAN'S guide to getting merit.

What is constructive and high quality post?
Constructive reply means discussion on topic and make best answer or solution. For example someone ask how can I save my wallet, your reply should on this topic and you can share your tips. If its unique and best idea then I will consider it's a Quality post.

Keep in mind, The best way to earn merit is Forget about merit and start contributing on this forum as much as you can . Merit is subjective, people will give you merit if they think your post is useful and helpful for members or forum.

but I think asking is also a form of learning, so I don't see bad things by asking some question like this

Yeah, asking is not a bad thing. Before create a thread, you must use the search button for finding your question is have been discussed or not. If the topic have been discussed you should not create a same topic.

You asked a similar question yesterday and you got some helpful replies with member trying to correct some of the misconceptions which you have about the forum and the motive people have for registering on it.
based on what I have read on some posts, merit is significant for us to increase our ranks, is this really true?

Yes, it is. Merit and activity score are combined to determine your rank, but you could have found this information with a little research. You would have also found the answer to the 'how you can increase your merit question' through a little research.
That is the reason you should prioritize knowledge first. Read and learn. There are many facets of this industry and exploring all will allow you properly utilize it.

I know that this is not the thing that I should mind first because I am still a beginner, I should prioritize first on gaining knowledge here, as what I commonly read in many other posts, but I think asking is also a form of learning, so I don't see bad things by asking some question like this, which is really need to know of the beginners, based on what I have read on some posts, merit is significant for us to increase our ranks, is this really true?

This forum is an excellent thing about gaining knowledge and earning money, so I want to have these two, so please can you help me with this question, Thank you in advance.
