Investing bitcoin is not a big deal, even if you are holding the bitcoin within your wallet also its a way of investment.
Regularly the variation in price can be observed. Some times within days it has 25% growth, if you are trading
at those times, you will feel how good your investment is.

You can try forex websites and invest your money there. I wouldn't recommend you to invest a lot but an amount you can trade with. Else you can try trading websites which help you buy and sell bitcoins and then withdraw your earnings. No need to invest in ponzis as they you can happily bid bye to your earnings.

Try HAOBTC (3% annual interest) or BW (7.5% annual interest) on your deposits.

Not entirely fair. Wink 3% is flexible term account. We also have a fixed term deposit account that pays 12% APR to begin with and the rate grows incrementally every month - though likely to be adjusted after the block reward halving in July.

You're correct that there is risk. It's called investing. And that's exactly what OP was asking about.

Investing in things which rely on market, such as stocks, commodities, forex is one thing and it contains a risk, which is understandable but they don't have the risk of a loss by theft but sending money to a site which may run away with your money is not called investment but scam.

And advising such sites is not recommended, especially to newbies who are just entering the bitcoin world. Its same as someone asking for directions and you throwing them in front of a bus.

Scamming is every where dude. Not only in bitcoin that you can see in fiat currency as well. All you need to is find the perfect escrow manager to avoid to get Scamming. Because it's trust worthy for the both the side people

Who do you think is a perfect escrow manager? And how do you escrow the funds you sent to an investment site? You can either trust the site itself or not, I choose not to and that is what I advise but its up to the people what they want to do with their money. I am not forcing anyone to invest/not in anything but just educating what may or may not happen.

It's called HYIP, you will get big profit if you know how this HYIP works. my suggest is always invest on short-term and invest only the day after the hyip launching. but i'm not suggest you to invest on HYIP.

Hi, most of these sites, no ALL of these sites that offer things like 100x your bitcoins and are fake and stuff.

Well on real life you can invest your money and stuff, but here I got bitcoin, and how can I invest it?

Sorry for being so newbie btw  Grin but I didn't found this anywhere

You could lend you BTC (see my signature)  , you coud join some project in security section or became a partner of some gambling site. You could own a faucet too. But remeber: no one will be able to give you more without  risk  Roll Eyes

Ok, fine. No referral links. I've been seeing them everywhere, so I didn't think anything of it. I'll remove them.

Because it's not against the rules... Link SPAM is against the rules, not using referral links when someone asks for a service.

But I still don't see how they aren't safe. You're not explaining that one. Feel free to enlighten me...

Lending without collaterals is not safe. There have been numeral scams, involving btcjam, recent one here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/btc-jam-borrow-and-run-1323658

Same goes for other lending platforms.

As for the other service you mentioned, don't trust them to keep my money with them, there was an exchange (can't remember its name, right now) but who did what they're doing now, which is, offered interest to their clients who keep coins in that exchange and then later ran away with everyone's coins.

There's been a debate on this : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/would-you-trust-your-bitcoins-to-a-bitcoin-bank-with-annual-10-interest-rate-1280011 You can see why many feel its unsafe, because there is no insurance against loss.

So its fine if you trust them but I don't and don't think that services like these should be advised, if you think its safe then you might as well start investing/advising Ponzi sites (You'll find them here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=207.0).

Investing on safe wallet, buy bitcoin and keep it safe on your wallet, wait until price rise is the best way invest in bitcoin than use it for invest in site or service, which you need to research first before do an investment and the risk of hacking or maybe collapse is high.

well send it to BTC-E and start trading to earn more now! There's nothing better than investing in yourself my friend Grin

this could only be good if he knows about trading, otherwise this can only result in lost of money instead of gaining profit.

@OP just holding your bitcoins now is one way of investing Smiley

Good idea but trading little risky thing to do just need any escrow to maintain that. And lending the bitcoin for loan also another factor for investment. Better check more times before you do investment. Then go for it.

I would ask myself how much do I want to risk. Even just by investing in bitcoin you are set to make profit already. I think most have already mentioned the main ones but like any type of investment there are risks associated.

so you guys are saying alright I should convert my BTC to real money and invest it? Because I mean bitcoin here is worth a fucking lot (because first we convert BTC to dolar and convert dolar to my coin, which will generate a fucking profit!), but where should I invest? I go in a bank or something?

Ask yourself - how can I invest cash? You can buy something with it, or you can convert it into the virtual currency promoted by banks and the government. Either way, you risk losing it.

So, ask yourself - why would somebody want to borrow Bitcoins when the indication is that the price will go up? If they haven't got any fiat currency to buy Bitcoins, are they likely to have the money to buy Bitcoins at an increased value to pay back their loans?

I think of Bitcoins as an alternative to cash, and not as an alternative to the banks' virtual currencies. Of course, as Bitcoin becomes more widely accepted, then it will become an alternative to the banks' loan accounts.
