Just yesterday I come across one youtuber where he says
he just wake up and saw his 50 btc was vanish from his exodus wallet  and also before that another 20 btc was vanish
he says he dont even know how this happen.

pls how can I escape this.

At this point when you have more than two bitcoin in a wallet, the safest place to store it is in a cold storage wallet, when you are not ready to sell it or go into trading with it.

The best way I know is to keep your funds offline and disconnected from the internet or any kind of network and electronic device (such as a camera).  If you are keeping your funds on web wallet or on the exchange then there is a risk associated with it even if you are using every possible security option. You can keep your account secure but you can't be 100% sure about the security of the database on the server side so it is not recommended keeping more than 10% of your funds online. You can use hardware wallet or even securely generated paper wallet to store your funds offline.

The point is just try to use a wallet that is really very reliable and has really proven many people who said that the wallet's site is completely safe and far away from the possibility to be hacked. I think even though the password is strong, or the security code is strong, it's still vulnerable to be hacked if the purse site used is really less secure.

Best advice I can give you is to get yourself a hardware wallet. I have the Ledger Nano s & highly recommend it. Aside from using a hardwallet, just take basic security measures like ensuring you have a good antivirus, beward of scam / phishing sites, never share your private key with anyone, use 2FA wherever you can, don't use same password for all your accounts etc.

However hard you keep your bitcoin in a much secure manner, hack happens if you were Unlucky. You could go through our forum and understand the reality of getting hacked. The same thing happened from one of the trusted trading platform with me, where I got hacked though I've enabled most of the security features.

First setup unique email id for that account, before opening of new account on coinbase or other exchanges. Then set really hard and long password for it. These are basic needs for secure account.

Try to invest in some hardware wallets for better safety. If you can not afford then try cleaning your mobile, PC, or laptop to secure your wallet to hackers that attempts to steal your bitcoins.

Having a hardware wallet will keep your coin safe, have you heard Ledger Nano S? You need to invest some money for it but if you will place a big amount of bitcoin then its worth buying. On the other hand if you are about to place it on an exchange be sure to use 2FA. There are some of incidents same as this even my friend having a $5000 dollar worth of bitcoin got vanish, but it can be avoided just don't dare to trust to any online wallet it is the best way to secure your bitcoin.

There is one and easiest way to protect your bitcoin from harm. It is by Cold Storage. You must have private keys where you are very safe in any software. Trust no one. Check very deep of someone's you going with to. And last, be responsible in each step that you will take.

This may prevent if you can implement your own safety measures for example creating a second account or address then this will become your address for all of your transaction by sending the funds to your second account and transfer it to the receiver of the actual bitcoin. this may take time and extra fees but it is more safer than direct transaction. Second is do not connect to a public network if you are making transaction.

If you have a lot of bitcoin then I suggest to store it in offline wallet, you can do various protection and one of the best is to save the private key. I think that's the best way right now, than you do cloud storage then it's much more risky. because by storing in the wallet offline then not many people who can easily access your wallet. But if you are a mobile person and always do various bitcoin transactions in mobility then offline wallet is not an option. Offline Wallet is an option for those who want to keep Bitcoin safely and not use it often, usually with long-term investment goals. you can try Electrum because electrum has a private key feature that makes it more secure. oh yes do not ever give your personal information to anyone !!!

By choosing crypto wallet that's number one we avoid from scamming of your bitcoin from your wallet. I heard about exodus wallet so far I don't heard any negative feedback about them. Besides from this wallet much better use a offline wallet or paper wallet for more security of your bitcoin. Don't link website asking too much about your private account because it may cause leak of scamming. Keep your private key secretly don't trust to other, let say don't trust anyone even your own shadow.
