I can change my avatar as well. But if there only the possibility to change it when I get new rank- it will take ages:)
For me to update my profile on facebook or intagram ... then you should first have a picture to post already, then log the software you are about to post, then post is complete.
Just read the rules, it's simple to find out the problem 
If you wanna use avatar in your profil you must upgrade your rank gull member bro.
