It is not easy to detect scam ICO.
but maybe you have to do some research first before joining in ICO.
read their whitepaper carefully.
or you can check their website, team and their social media.

You can understand that scam issue with a ico from whitepaper mate. You need to read whitepaper very carefully and i promise you will realise after that. Because whitepaper should be very detailly and if their project are really good you can see that easily on whitepaper.

It is very difficult to identify the real motive of an ICO, I have come accross this project name binextrade its an exchange that shares 70% revenue with the token holders , i have been noticing the project since the ICO phase and it is a good one. I think we should be careful before investing into any ICO.

It`s all in details, check details carefully. Check names in their team, check their pictures, check whitepaper, check what other have to say about it, check many things, if you see anything suspicious check it again with others. We are getting smarter, we are learning how to spot a scam, but scammers are working on new ways how to trick people, its what they do, even we make a deep research we can fall on some trick, its happening, share your experience and only when we share experience we can be smarter than scammers.

Well, its really hard to identified some of the ICO's currently develop in the blockchain are scam but one thing i have encountered comes in a very suspicious allocation, poor marketing promotions and strategic plus no update of twitter, telegram as an evidence of serious project proposal.

Currently it is very difficult to determine which of the projects is fraudulent. Therefore, for those who have doubts in their choice, it is better to seek advice from professional investors so that they can explain whether you have any risks in connection with these investments?

I agree with you that it is not so easy to determine a scam project but checking their white papers and their previous projects will give you a clue also checking their profile in LinkedIn and social media will give a idea for sure.

I thought it was difficult because the creator of the ICO scam was smart.
Check their project team with social media and try to communicate Are their members with years of experience, or have a reputation in this forum

i think it can be identified from the team in easiest way. we have to be sure if the team is fake or real. and even if they are real we should search about them if they are enough capable for the project and if they have a successful cv or not.

How to identify the ICO scam is certainly quite well in doing the analysis or research. It will at least help from on must continue to meet a scam there is. expand the information from this forum and references from other sites would also require at least could simply give an overview of the ICO scam although it's quite difficult to be identified.

Dear All!

As many of us are aware the fact that there are many scams fooling and cheating people of their money under the disguise of ICOs,it would be really useful if your thoughts can be shared for all to be cautious of.
Please be kind enough to comment your ideas!
Thank you!

there is no legit way to identify a scam project, even those project that are scam are more looking real compared to those real project. well all you need to do is for more research.

I, too, all that only from the legalization of cryptocurrency and from a certain legislation will depend on the real fate of the company's ico market. in any case, the United States of America has already begun to fight fraudsters in this field of activity .

To identify scam ICO projects you need to make your own research, check idea, team, whitepaper and investments. After that, you need to make an investment decision on this project.

check the document or whitepaper. an ICO whitepaper is the basic document for the project. there must be background, purpose, strategy, focus, and time to implement each project related to blockchain.

know better and management is one of the most important success factors for the ICO, developers and administrative teams behind the project. The cryptocurrency space is dominated by big names, making new projects only include their names on the development team.

It's not easy to rate ICOs and see if they have SCAM. Already all the projects are selling the dream to come. If you don't invest in these dreams, only Bitcoin would exist.

There are actually guides on you can search in google for this information. One of the clues on how to identify a fake one is if you check the grammar of the whitepaper. If it seems unprofessional, then there is a chance that it could be a fake one or a scam.

I will tell you how I suck not reveal fraud, but also projects in which people lose their money. This so-called financial pyramid, just for the cryptocurrency. A lot of such projects is ICO or just POPs up from nowhere. Such projects is always at the highest level, it is not spare money. Always in such projects, there is a referral program that promise huge bonuses. The promise of profit every day, and interest will be floating, not a constant. And disguise it all under investment Fund with a bunch of experts who invest your money and always work. Do not believe in such projects, they will collect the money and disappear, and then launch the same project, only with a different name and slightly change the conditions.

With many ico popping and launching everyday it is hard to identify a good ico from a bad or scam ico. There are many ways to help you identify a scam ico. My most common go to is the goal of said ico. If it is too good to be true then chances are it is a scam ico. You can also try looking for credibility of the people behind the ico. Some scammers like to stay unknown.
That's how wise scammers are, they can create more accounts after scamming people with there previous project, then start a new one and make
things more impressive, even the road plans are good and they got pretty well and usable project but the intentions behind is for scamming its's
really hard to identify who's really taking the good steps for making it into a successful coins, you need to look closer and use your owned instinct
when choosing with your investment.
