i would do it simple, tell them the advantages of bitcoin, the fact about very low or zero fee, and the fact that is less trouble some than fiat

I think if you manage to tell them there won't be no fees like no structure behind to regulate the transactions and slow it down, no intermediates well yes they might accept this whole thing. But don't just go there trying to explain them this whole thing, they wouldn't understand.

When there's SMM involve that's all about advertising of such service and I don't think we need it for bitcoin's acceptance and encouragement for local business just to adopt bitcoin. We just need to have some small talk and take time to let them know that bitcoin is something that we can use for their business and at the same time for investment too so it's a 3 in 1 for them. I am looking to help move BTC forward into our economy more and would like to get some suggestions on how we can get more retailers to accept BTC as a payment. Well, all what the local retailers need is education of what Bitcoin potential is all about and other crypto currency has in stock if they should invest start accepting Bitcoin as a mode of payment in there various shop's and the rest of them.The truth is I want to convince some of my member of my family because he has a pretty big business and that would be great if he will accept cryptocurrencies as a payment per contract, this can increase awareness too. My mother have some grocery store and the everyday profit of that store is not bad, the thing here is that the people who are 40 years old older or even the 30's is not listening to me, yup they know about cryptocurrencies and they know that I'm earning too, but still they cant welcome this technology in their lives, they are content with the present system, they are content following the old rules. I don't know but i think this is how they grow, this is the world they have lived in ( it's not that i'm saying that all are like this) , Im just saying that we have a better chance on the youngster that have some business nowadays and we must pick them as our audience in spreading the cryptocurrencies awareness.

I think if there were a lot of people that simply ask "do you accept bitcoin" this would make the business think to themselves everyone is asking about this bitcoin thing let me find out what it is and then once they look into it they may adopt it or even come back to you to ask for more information.
Other larger companies with an online space would have systems where they log support queries so over time if they keep getting the same query they will no doubt look into it or already be looking into it.
The use of Bitcoin at this time is still reaping controversy. as the only currency regulator in my country, has declared a firm stance against Bitcoin since two years ago. It's not simple to encourage local businesses to accept bitcoin even for today. Not all of them are educated about modern technology and some are still skeptic about bitcoin. Although if the country or government your living in has approved the usage of bitcoin then that's a good initiative for anyone to start a conversation on a businessman about bitcoin and he'll take it lightly but seriously since it was advised.For me, if you encourage a local business that is not educated like you've said in previous comment. It's totally problematic in the first place. Why you create or build local business if you are not educated in that particular business. Now a days, it almost 80 percent of local business use technology like computer and many more. So don't target those not educated because they will not understand it. I said it's simple cause if they are connected in internet they will easily understand it because of many facts about bitcoin.
Dealing with those businessman that are uneducated is going to be a problem to you but I doubt it that you'll be dealing with them about bitcoin or talking about it as them being an uneducated person. They will not into their position now if they are uneducated in the first place. Not only 80% of local businesses that are using technology but majority of them are.

Lack of knowledge and they don't want to put any stain on their business because of that thing. They mostly think that bitcoin is something illegal and they don't want to put themselves and their business as well at risk, talking to them in the easiest way and reaching them about the acceptance of bitcoin is through letting them read articles about bitcoin and just wait for the updates coming from well known tech-people.
I get your point on lack of knowledge. But the thing is, there are others too who are knowledgeable enough yet they do not agree with the idea of Bitcoin per se. Hence, you cannot really equalize knowledge to agreement because in the end, you may or may not agree with one another regardless of the knowledge you have over a specific subject matter. We certainly have varying opinions and we cannot just take it out of context just because we think others are less knowledgeable about it.
