Not your keys, not your coins!
"How Can You Understand Bitcoin Effectively and Acquire it easily."
Your question is wrong one because all people on Earth only can buy bitcoin, but no one can acquire Bitcoin. It's decentralized from code (open source), developments (from a decentralized developer community and any protocol must be supported by community dominantly to be activated on Bitcoin blockchain), to hashrate and full nodes.

Newbies can start with learnmeabitcoin.com for beginners. It can help them to understand Bitcoin in a comfortable way and it has a search feature, that allows newbies to selective search what they want to learn.

Well first off there is no way for anyone to acquire bitcoin easily.  It just doesn't exist.  Perhaps back when bitcoin was created you could find it for free at certain places, such as there were such things like "bitcoin faucets" which would quite literally give away free bitcoins daily.

When it comes to learning about bitcoin, I think there is no better source than the great Andreas Antonopoulos.  I would highly recommend looking him up on YouTube and watching his videos.  He is brilliant.

Interesting, never heard about him.
Will give him a try, thanks for the suggestion!

The only way to tell if a Bitcoin news is fake is if it's not coming from any of these news platforms listed above, or any of the popular and reputable news company such as CNN and BBC.

Different countries has different laws regarding certain things at a specific period of time, of which I can remember few months back in Nigeria, if you are buying or selling a Bitcoin through p2p, you deal not type in the word "Bitcoin" or crypto in transaction description, as bank related to crypto were usually blocked. But as times go on we got over that stage. Hence, it's always important to study wherever you find yourself and know their laws regarding Bitcoin.

Good day my members of this community,I am interested in expanding my learning knowledge about Bitcoin and looking for ways on how it being obtain. Therefore, could more knowledgeable members of this great community reveal how.
The primary method of owning Bitcoin is by buying it using fiat. Gone are the days when it was being airdropped and way cheaper to afford. Now, to own a handful of Bitcoin, you need enough fiat to buy it. After buying them, you can easily get more if you invest or trade your Bitcoins. Another way you can get Bitcoin is by earning through it. If you have a skill, you can choose to get paid in Bitcoin after you render your service completely. You can also earn from campaigns too.

>>How does one get accurate and up to date information on Bitcoin news, research, and development?
One way is to access Bitcoin news website through the internet there are a lot of them. Another way is to stay consistent in the forum and surf through it every day. Any information regarding Bitcoin will be shared here by any member.

There are some news outlets that are reliable and you can depend on them to get news on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. You have to be careful though because regardless of them being reliable, they might post sponsored news at times and without knowing, they would have spread the wrong information therefore do not depend on news from only one source but you can verify the news from different sources before believing what they are reporting. One way I used to differentiate real news form fake one is what the news is talking about. News that tries to hype you about Bitcoin or talk bad on Bitcoin has their reason and that's the manipulate you. The best way to obtain Bitcoin is by buying it regardless of any country or region that you are from.

Understanding bitcoin is a lot of work and you have a point that no matter how reliable it is their are seasons you will have to wait before you can harvest anything,  and post sponsoring new might be true and all this will favour some were it will not favor others so you just have to Clear your mindset so that you don't allow things like this discourage you from investing. And you have to have different sources getting your news so that you don't rely on one source, the pattern at which news is going makes it more legitimate and you will be able to determine wether is true or not, anything crypto is always having a copyright, most of this apps like CoinGecko have legitimate news inflow. Or go for cointelegraph, you will get a lot of interesting news out of their so their are places that their news is okay at least you get information that can be of help to you.

I am in need of detailed insights and practical instructions. Also want to know both theoretical and practical aspects of the issue. Thanks for your contribution and for enabling me to understand Bitcoin better.
There are news websites about crypto all over the internet, if you want latest news about it then you can just read those and you will get a superficial information a bit late but it would be good enough for a long term investor like me.

If you are trading then you are going to want quicker and more news in detail but that would be hard to get, cryptopanic could probably satisfy your needs when you want more stuff but would be very hard to navigate all of that for a newbie. You can't tell real news from fake news when you are a newbie, so act as if all of them are fake news, until you can confirm it from multiple sources with proof, otherwise nothing would be possible to accept at face value when you see it right away.

To expand your knowledge about Bitcoin:

1.Information sources: Check CoinDesk and CoinTelegraph. Follow experts on Twitter.

2.True vs. false news: Always verify sources and be cautious of misleading headlines.

3.Getting Bitcoin: Use Binance or Coinbase based on your region. For P2P, look at LocalBitcoins or Paxful.

You've already been given apps and sites where you can keep up with bitcoin news, so there's no point in me repeating them but I just want to say that when it comes to learning about bitcoin, keep it simple. That's how I learnt at least. Just start from the basics. What bitcoin is and about, how transfers work, where to keep them and how to exchange them. Understand the basics of bitcoin first and then with time on the forum you'll be surprised at how much you learn over the next couple of months.

Taking it on as a course makes it more complicated. Just see it as a lifestyle where you learn as you go. When you continue to interact daily, you won't know when you've known more than the basics and begin to understand the technical side of it, It is from what you know that you'll be able to tell if a new is true or fake about bitcoin.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
1. Reading the bitcoin whitepaper and news are things to do. However take every news with a bag of salt. Never trust anyone without verifying first. Also I dont suggest doing this everyday or first thing in the morning. No need for that extra dose of anxiety before you start the day. I often read the news once a week or leave it for months on my RSS reader.

2. This is tough for a newbie and like I said, if you are anxiety prone, you should not read the news much. Major stuff like wallets getting hacked or malware even get posted on this forum by the admin, so you can watch that too. Eventually you will understand how the market psychology works and then you will be able to differentiate FUD with clarity.

3. Bitcoin is like a currency. You get it when you have done something to earn it. Sell services or articles.

Considering that bitcoin.com is owned and run by Roger Ver who has a history of scamming people by selling them bcash calling it bitcoin, I wouldn't consider anything from his websites to be "trusted".
To the best of my knowledge, the new CEO of bitcoin.com is Corbin Fraser. He took over from Dennis Jarvis. While there are bad news about the latter as you have already mentioned, I have yet to see any indictment on Corbin Fraser or Dennis Jarvis. Please do not get me wrong, I am not inferring that they are clean or not. The point I am making is that anyone who gets their news from bitcoin.com would know if it can be trusted or not because nowadays, bitcoin news always go viral. If it is reported in one news website, it will be surely reported in another. Anything discrepancy in them should raise a concern. Besides, we have been told not to trust but verify.

I don't think it should be difficult for you in terms of getting any information you want about Bitcoin because the purpose of Google is to provide any information that's being requested so long as is on the online, though I don't have any particular site I could recommend to you but perhaps you could make a rearch about it and if you come up with different sites you can compare their information to no which one has the most accurate information about Bitcoin news. However on the part you mentioned that obtaining Bitcoin depends on region or the country, I don't quite understand the main question, so if you don't mind you can clarify the question more but if perhaps you are talking about if a country permit to invest or not, I believe the question is for you to answer because you no how things work better in your country than any other person.

>> What is the best way to tell real news from fake news?
a lot of regular blogs are fund of bringing out fake news and if you're relying on some random sources and verifying your information from YouTubers, you can easily fall for them. Most news that drops on the forum are at least 90% true and are from a reliable source.

Certainly most YouTubers are not the people to rely on getting information about anything because they don't care about how the information was derived so whether authentic or not they would publish it because all they want is just to get flowers or subscribers, however I noticed that most other members has recommended some site he should look into perhaps it should be very easy for him to get the accurate information he wants.

Make your research and compare your sources of informations and do your consultations for verifications to testify what news is real and one that is fake.

If your government has accepted Bitcoin for for legal tenders where the financial institutions are facilitating on Bitcoin transactions, you actually buy your Bitcoin from your Central banking sectors.

Alternatively, you can also purchase your Bitcoin on the P2P depending on the available exchanges existing in your country. Here KYC would be required to caption your location during when opening an account with the above crypto exchanges and only functional if Bitcoin has not be termed an illegal technology in your country otherwise, your country would either be delisted from the exchanges or would be limited to facilitate on Bitcoin transactions. It all jus depends what categories your government is being against Bitcoin or Cryptocurrencies at large.

Lastly, if Bitcoin has become an illegal currency in the country, you can inquire to get a legitimate one-on-one dealer to sell it own Bitcoin to you and then you can pay the dealer off the exchange network but be sure that this process is risky here you might be needing an escrow as a third party if the trust is not going to be satisfying.

For free obtaining of Bitcoin, you can be lucky to earn some if participated in any of the Bitcoin projects such as bounty's, games and rounds, signature campaigns. Etc.

I am in need of detailed insights and practical instructions. Also want to know both theoretical and practical aspects of the issue.
For practical learning, watching YouTube would do you lot of helps for theoretical insights, making readable research in various platforms would do you a lot help but I would recommend you stays here in bitcointalk, ask your questions serially based on what you need to know and you will surely be guided accordingly.
Be sure that you must be a good reader and be dedicated to yours needs.

Do not forget to store your Bitcoin in the self custodial wallets where you would be in charge of your funds and privatizing your private keys.

Bitcoin dot com belongs to Bitcoin Cash team and Roger Ver is a core member of it, it's not trustworthy.

I sometimes read news shared by people with new source from bitcoin dot com but I am skeptical on it, and always have to search to check that news validity with other websites.

To newcomers: make sure when you buy bitcoin you are buying bitcoin!

You have been given refered to many reputable news websites where you can get up-to-date information about Bitcoin. You could distinguish between fake and real news by verifying the news from different sources. Cointelegraph once published a fake news about the approval of the US Bitcoin Spot ETF but they apologized for spreading false news. Clarification on sharing false spot Bitcoin ETF news. Always verify.

With the internet and other technological tools location is not a limitation to acquire Bitcoin. You can earn, buy and buy Bitcoin from anywhere in the world. Your only challenge will be government policies relating to Bitcoin. Some countries restricts citizens from dealing with Bitcoin.

A good point was raised. Even though you have credible sources, they are not always true all the time.
There may be errors from time to time, that's why it's important to rely on many of them, and on their quality in general.

What are the example of fake news? I think you refer to "centralized news" e.g. China want to legalize Bitcoin, India want to ban Bitcoin, Trump will use Bitcoin, etc etc. There's no way to know if it's real or fake news because you're not the insider.

Some countries completely ban Bitcoin, some countries ban mining, some countries ban banks that associated with Bitcoin transactions, of course it's matter.
