Women are typically more socially pragmatic and they are also consensus builders, so they are less likely to be finding answers by being argumentative here in the forums. They are also less likely to take risks because their innate existential fear is inability to raise the children.

Typically women are less likely to be detailed analytical and rather to be more holistic in approach, because of their historical roles in society.

However, people are diverse. I was just speaking in terms of the center of the bell curve of attributes.

Regarding sexism on this forum. It is just words, its just jokes, get over it.

There is nothing unequal about a bitcoin. A bitcoin doesn't discriminate on whose wallet it shall rest in. You don't need to work your way up any corporate ladder to own a bitcoin. You can own bitcoins while breastfeeding and don't need to breastfeed in the middle of a football field in public with a big sign saying 'watch me breastfeed' then complain when people ask you to do it in a slightly more private area. You can even be a mother and own bitcoins.

Most people don't have the need to announce their gender, sexuality or religion when they walk into a [virtual] room. Online we are all just words on a page.

I'm trying to recruit my wife but she gives up too easily, even though I told her that when I die, most of my money will be in bitcoins and she will have to know how to use them.

Coding / Programing.etc is a heavily male-dominated sector. This sector, as well as most of the "core" groups which initially supported BTCs are male-dominated.  As Bitcoin becomes more and more mainstream, we will see the share of males dropping.

*coughs* I didn't said anything sexist and I doubt every single person in this thread did.

Girls are using it. Just because they don't shout for attention (like you do), doesn't mean they don't exist.

You said it better than I could've.
I am so done with that kind of shit, hahaha. I see it way to often with those so called "gamer" girls.

There are multiple females using btc's but not as much as males, though females have some bases and increased numbers specially in China  Tongue . Though the percentage of males in BTC's are more.

There are women asking about the business. In history, only few females are doing something big, close to gentlemen, high quality.

Normally, this place is full of wolves. Who are not able to ask how, then get replaced.

Found this

The “average Bitcoin user” is male (95%), 31.7 years old, libertarian / anarcho-capitalist (37%), non-religious (57%), with a full time job (43%), that is in a relationship (52%).
Source?
I filled out a survey self-identifying has having anarchistic leanings, but I think anarcho-capitalism is a contradiction in terms.

Age Demographic

Where was this test done?
95% male? Almost half of us are religious?? WHAT? Seriously?

I am more concerned that everyone seems to be an anarchist and in a relationship.

My personal situation is the opposite, where I'm the one who is completely obsessed with crypto currency and my boyfriend doesn't really get it. He even works in IT, but I think it's more to do with the fact that he's pretty old-school and doesn't take to 'modern fads' like I do  Roll Eyes

I do think it's a pretty serious issue though that women in general don't seem to want to learn more about it, and for sure it has something to do with the fact that it requires some knowledge and interest in subjects which are still very male dominated. I don't know, maybe it would be good to start up some workshops or meetings specifically aimed at women to shift the current male/female ratio.
