You don't need to, OP.
The thing is you are still a newbie and you are already talking about the bounty hunting in this forum which is not the primary focus of the forum. You'll be perceived by others as someone who is using an alt, bounty hunting only in this platform, or newbie that is merit-fishing.

The essence of how forum should be use is now slowly gone since new comers always think about how they can earn on the bounty immediately, Maybe its best for them to stop to look on the bounty side since its frustrating   to see that they cannot join because of their rank but they should focus first to contribute on the topic and to learn more things on crypto since everything including bounty campaign joining will just follow after that. Better for now to do more research since this will really help those newbies to be a good contributor and then possibly they can rank up with that.

Not everyone can or should earn lots of merits and rank up on this forum. To do this, you would need decent knowledge of Bitcoin and ability to present your points clearly. Many of the bounty hunters can't even write a sentence in English without lots of mistakes, asking that they suddenly become Legendary-worthy is just too much. If they are happy with earning pennies for spamming, and if their spam is contained within certain boards, then let them be. Those who can improve will be able to do it on their own.

I can completely agree with this.
Merits are an added bonus on this forum, not something anyone can or should expect to receive.
There are certain standards and criteria for obtaining merits, which vary from person to person, but in general a certain quality of forum post or usefulness is required.
Not all forum members can meet those criteria and that’s okay.
Members without merits are still free to write on the forum, provided they do not violate the forum rules, and participate in all discussions without restriction.
I don't think that bounty hunters even need merits here.

There are other post that are merited not because he/she posted a thread or reply toa thread that shows his/her decent knowledge. What I woukd try to explain is some posts are merited because it is funny for some merit senders. Some forum users got merited because of a contest, more like a merit giveaway.

If someone is interested in more than money on this forum, they would be lurking on more subforums than just 'bounties' and if they make decent posts they would even earn merits.

I don't need to prove myself here because I am still new not like those bounty hunters that has been long enough staying in the forum but not getting or with zero merits and that is just so discouraging after all a newbie like me thinking on why they got no interest in ranking up after all ranking up would benefit them in their bounty hunting.

You are asking merit and ranking up for others or for yourself :-D

I was amazed after seeing bounties that there are too many newbie users with hundreds of activities and posts already with zero merit. This is not really new in that area but aren't they have any plans to rank up so that they could enjoy more the benefits of bounty hunting? I guess bounty hunting was never wrong unless you make some abuses like joining two or more accounts in a single project.

These could not be a problem to others but if we give attention to this part then probably we can draw something like a conclusion on why there is a need to address the newbie users with hundreds of activities with zero merit. For now, there has not been any problem regarding with these users because they are in isolated in a certain section which is the bounties and altcoins section. However, there could be in the future and this is why I would you give your opinion regarding this matter.
So,  this is my thoughts.

How do we make them realize the importance of ranking up and getting merits?

Aren't they give up on getting merits and ranking up? Or they just want to waste their time doing bounties that will not pay?

How long do these users will going to work like this?

Is there any chance thay they could stop in their activities?

I can't just barely imagine how they age here in the forum but still nothing is done in their part to make some difference. It is a little bit discouraging for us the newbie seeing those users in that section.

We are not giving them attention,

Yes, they don't get any attention to us because they just being here for business and somehow they are only lurking in that section. But still that section is part of the forum and should also be taking cared of. They continue to plauge in the forum with their bad works and habit in doing their business.

Chances are that they could change and shift to something really good for them and for the forum. Yet, it needs more encourangement to help them up by discussing about them. Basically this discussion is intended for them and also to widen up ideas on how we could improve in that section and those users.

What do you think the need for them and for the forum to improve?
Bounty hunters sometimes just post reports and info of the task they have done, by the end of the week, i don't think they want to post topics or interacts with other members the most important to them is their reports are approved, they should help themselves first by changing how they interact with the forum, we can't help them by giving merit because of their bounty reports, correct me if im wrong.

Jeez. I remember this when I was just scrolling through these alts being reported and it is funny af.
Image was no longer available when I checked it back in the original.

@OP
You should already know what is their goal in this forum and that goal itself does not get along with the word "improve", because their aim here is of course, money. They are not here to improve, to grow, to learn.
Have you read some random bounty hunters' post history full of bounty reports? I did.
From that, do you think that those "WEEK 1-9999 ....... bla bla bla report" are merit-worthy?

Each of us has different goals and plans in life and this is quite normal.
People come to this forum for different reasons.
Some members want to learn something about crypto, some members want to share their knowledge and experience and some members just want to make money.
I really don't care about Bounty hunters and don't read their posts.
If they don’t break the forum rules, let them write whatever they want, I don’t care.
As for merits, only those members who write quality and constructive, informative posts have a chance with me, and that's it.
After all, I don’t think it matters to them to get merits but money and that’s okay.
We can’t help someone who doesn’t want help.

Everyone came to this forum with some goal, and it’s no secret that in some parts of the world this forum is a platform for making money and nothing more. I don’t see how any of us could change the minds of these people, does anyone think we should send them private messages, write posts in threads where they sign up for bounty campaigns, and tell them that such things are mostly a waste of time?

What we need to watch out for are just such newbie accounts that after years spent in a bounty campaign try to get that 1 merit and then go back to where they were before with a new rank.

Those newbies are only here to earn bounty tokens. Almost half of them are alt accounts. They don't care about ranking up as their primary goal is to participate in content bounty &social media bounty using their alts, so forget about them. Think about yourself and try to write some post that generates intrest.

How do we make them realize the importance of ranking up and getting merits?
Quite frankly its nobody's job to make anyone realize anything. They are aware of what they are doing they just don't care. Every other day there is a post about how to earn money or rank up and every time they get answers. But do they heed to the advice? No! Bounty hunting is a deliberate and premediated decision. No one spams by accident
Aren't they give up on getting merits and ranking up? Or they just want to waste their time
Speak for yourself Op. I don't think bounty hunters believe they are wasting their time or losing on anything. They are very much dedicated to what they do (spamming, shit posting)
We are not giving them attention,

I'm not sure what you mean by that statement but I tell you lovesmayfamilis is doing a damn good job making sure they don't see the light of day
What do you think the need for them and for the forum to improve?
Before creating an account on the forum. You should know your reason of joining the forum. That reason and purpose drives you to the right direction.

How do we make them realize the importance of ranking up and getting merits?
You can use the forum very well even if you don't rank up to Legendary member rank.

Make a few good posts and rank up to Junior member and can post with less restriction on waiting time between 2 posts. It is enough to enjoy the forum.
What are the time limits on posting and the levels??
I know 360 seconds are for new people like me, but was wondering if there was break down somewhere on this.

Code:
waittime = 360;
if(activity >= 15)
        waittime = (int)(90 - activity);
if(activity >= 60)
        waittime=(int)(34.7586 - (0.0793103 * activity));
if(activity >= 100)
        waittime = max((int)(14-(activity/50)), 4);

I was amazed after seeing bounties that there are too many newbie users with hundreds of activities and posts already with zero merit.
In broad terms, there are 39.579 distinct merited accounts on the forum, out of 3.338.617 accounts, so the vast majority is meritless. Of course, the numbers exaggerate the situation, since there are many accounts in the total toll that are inactive, pre-merit era, bot created with no activity, or banned.

The forum’s aim is to be a discussion platform, not a self-centred bounty hunting terrain to be milked. The latter is a lateral perk, not a core objective. Forum objective may of course differ from personal objectives, but incentives (being ranks as such) are aligned to the forum goals.

I guess bounty hunting was never wrong unless you make some abuses like joining two or more accounts in a single project.
It’s not wrong per se(*), providing it does not lead to spamming all over to meet objectives. We’d probably need to distinguish between bounty reporting on social media, and signature bearing though. The former should not necessarily lead to spam, since it is self-contained in bounty threads, but paradoxically, requirements for Merits may cause spam on the forum.

(*) One should nevertheless consider what he is spamming all over the social media.

How do we make them realize the importance of ranking up and getting merits?
We’re all (basically) adults here, with some reading and thinking capabilities. People should be able to discern this, were it the case, on their own. This basically summarized the answer to all the following questions.

We are not giving them attention,

At this point you have to concentrate on your own first, and stop soliciting for others or making yourself as eve you are a bounty Hunter, at this moment you are here, and what you have to do is to join the steps of the community, if really you want to grow your account, because it's only your good impact here that will give you merit, so emphasising on those bounty hunters that their activities is extremely big and had zero merit, that's to show that they concentrate on bounty for period of time, it's obvious that bounty does not count for merit before you can participate, so the different is clear.

you realize these bounty hunters made the choice for themselves, and the majority(probably) of them are fairly familiar with how the forum works. they know that solely being a bounty hunter and posting only reports to the bounty campaign they joined would not get them any merit. but if they want to earn merits all they need to do is join discussions, contribute and share knowledge if they can.
