Hello, I'm fascinated by how all of newbies got to where we are right now - here? What's your story re: how you found and, perhaps, fell in love with bitcoin?
My story is quite simple: I spent a lot of time volunteering in South America as the bitcoin community was beginning to form. In the communities I was working in, barter and non-fiat transactions were oftentimes a norm - and I began to understand the value of those transactions on a functional and, even, spiritual level. When I finally stuck my head out of the water, I realized that the promise of bitcoin in creating a more accessible, more equal, more trustworthy globally accessible economy was huge.
