Can't you just do all the papers for the wire transfer? If so then but a large amount so it'll last you. Sorry this is a stupid answer. You probably already found your answer but just wanted to help

Hi, any news on the subject?

Is there any more "formal" way of buying BC in Argentina, lets say through website using paypal or some other coding system?

Or is my only reasonable option localbitcoins? How does it work? Do you buy with USD or pesos, and where to start when you dont even have a wallet yet?

ANY help (links to websites, other discussions etc) would be greatly appreciated.

thx man, but apparently this site does not discuss my main problem - buying UKash vouchers with ARS! Did anyone here ever buy UKash vouchers in Argentina at More money stores? Would be cool to hear about your experiences and informations!

cheers

So how does uKash in Argentina actually works then? Is it like this, that I pay with ARS and get a coupon denominated in USD or EUR?
Do they ask for a commission/fees for this conversation?

thx guys for yr help!

There are no bitcoiners in my city. I can't seem to use credit cards nor paypal either in any site. International bank wire transfer is a mess with a lot of papers required to do the transaction.

Here's a thread from others in the region:

Now that Bitcoin Nordic accepts payments using CashU, which in turn accepts UKash vouchers for adding funds, bitcoins can now be purchased in quite a few more countries, including Argentina:

The full list of Latin American countries where UKash may be purchased:

 - Argentina
 - Mexico
 - Bolivia
 - Brazil
 - Colombia
 - Equador
 - Uraguay

I am a newbie here and hope that someone here can help me a bit Wink

So how does this whole thing then work? I simply go to a MORE or maguiexpress store and buy USD nominated vouchers with my ARS!? Which exchange rate do they use for that conversion? Will they use the blue market rate to convert ARS into USD or the "normal" one?

After I got then this code then, I simply load the funds onto my UKASH account (which shows then the amount in USD) and from there I transfer it to CashU and then to BitCoin, right? How much in commission will this then actually cost?

Is this the only way to transfer ARS into USD or EUR? I wouldn't mind skipping one of those money services to avoid commission payments and directly transfer to a bank account in the USA or Europe - is that also possible?

Advices are highly welcome! Thank you very much in advance!!!

A Bank or any other financial service provider will never offer you the blue market rate (I think they are even forbidden to do better deals then the official one, not sure though).
The closest to the blue market rate you can get is to find some one on eudemocracia.com or localbitcoins.com to trade with you. I just did and they offered me almost the blue market rate (-1 or 2%).
Thats where you can obtain the rates from: http://www.ambito.com/economia/mercados/monedas/dolar/

I'd love to do this. I'd like to have a bank account that people can transfer pesos into and I'd send them bitcoins in exchange.

Is it possible for a foreigner to get hold of an Argentinean bank account?

Im from Australia btw.

It's a long process - it may take months.
Any hints as to where to start?

Also does anyone know if a foreigner can do business as a sole proprietor? For example can a foreigner offer online services and pay Argentinean taxes but be based overseas?

Cualquier cosa, estoy a tus ordenes. Saludos, Matias Predilailo.

Perfecto, te compro por transferencia. Fijate que te envie un email!

Viste...
