I started with the faucets but after three months I'm still sitting at 0.06 BTC - god knows how much time and effort I've put in to make a few cents.  Mining looks like the only way to go, which also means spending cash up front to get a decent rig.  There really seems to be no way to get BTC with a willingness to work hard - you actually need a computer to do the work for you ... seems a bit limiting way to earn money when there are myriad ways to earn fiat currency!

Hey I've been here for 3 months or so and I've earned my first bitcoin and I don't plan to mine in the near future, you will find lots of opportunities in this forum for earning bitcoins.

Start small, grow big.

And it took me like 2 days to understand faucets only pay your time if you live in poorest country of the world, I just wanted to see a few numbers different then zeros in my wallet. Smiley

You can simple download cgminer, minerd or any other miner, use your cpu or graphics card, register in some pool and start earning some bitcents.
This is just for fun or for experiment, because you will need too many time to generate a bitcoin from pool shares.
Or you can mine some other coins that have less difficult to mine and then change them for bitcoin equivalent.
You can sell some stuff at bitmit.

Good luck!

TradeFortress is right, I used to do faucets until I found http://coinchat.org It's way better than faucets! Full disclosure, I am a mod there which is why I didn't use my reference link.

Most websites where you earn bitcoin don't pay anything. you would be much better off using a site that pays you in usd and then buying bitcoins with the money you make. just my opinion.

Sell stuff on bitmit, that's probably the best way to make some significant coins.

Other than that you could go for 0.0001 cent faucets, but that's not really satisfying in my opinion.
