I downloaded Electrum Wallet on my Mac. Now I can't find the application to open it. I can search for and find the original "electrum-3.2.3.dmg" file. When I open it up, it opens a window with the Electrum Application icon, which I can then click to reach the wallet, but is this the usual route to get to my wallet each time? Can I not just put the Electrum application in a known location? If yes, how do I find it?
To make Electrum "install" on OSX, you need to drag and drop the Electrum icon from the ".dmg window" into your "Applications" folder...

Once that is done, you can safely "eject" the .dmg... and Electrum should still show in your Applications Wink

Finally, after you have installed it... and have it running, you can right-click the icon in the dock... select "options" -> "keep in dock", that way the icon will always be shown, even if the app isn't running.

Refer to this short video (shows Firefox being installed from a .dmg): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmtId6P66AY

Google is almost right but if you don't remember the certain file name you must just use Finder's filter function instead, go to the Finder Window and choose the results by "Date Last Opened" here you can find your recently used files even the .exe file of your electrum. If you successfully found it you must now create an alias (shortcut) for your to easily access it again. Had some similar issues on some of the programs I have installed, particularly the ones who I had a hard time remembering, this way is much better because you don't have to remember the exact file name at all as all the files I have accessed are all in there.

I'm on the Mac and I didn't encounter any problem installing it,

I can't remember how I did it, but maybe this link can help you (http://www.bitcoin-en.com/install-electrum-wallet.html) or this video: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3pGHZbKN6Y). Again remember to download it from their official website.

I personally have never used an OSX device, but doesn't OSX have a sort of default download location folder? Because chances are that your downloaded .dmg executable would be in that folder.

Also, doesn't OSX have a right click "Open file location" option after searching a certain file? Similar to a certain feature on windows.

Very much a newbie to this space, therefore very grateful for this forum  Huh

I downloaded Electrum Wallet on my Mac. Now I can't find the application to open it. I can search for and find the original "electrum-3.2.3.dmg" file. When I open it up, it opens a window with the Electrum Application icon, which I can then click to reach the wallet, but is this the usual route to get to my wallet each time? Can I not just put the Electrum application in a known location? If yes, how do I find it?

Google tells me to: Open Finder; Go to folder (shift+cmd+G) and type ~/.electrum -  but I cannot find the actual openable application in that folder.

Thanks for any help.
