Hello. How are you all?  I am new to this forum.  I came to know about bitcoin forum from a friend of mine.  But I don't know much about forums.  What should I do in this situation?  I know about Bounty but I am not interested in Bounty.  How do I start working?  What should I do? I want your help to start my journey-
Thanks-
You are welcome to the forum and I know the members above me already said the necessary think I believe I will also want to tell you, but their is something I don’t understand in your post which i will like to ask you, what do you mean by how will I start working? Do you join the forum here to work or do you join the forum here to learn? Am not saying working is wrong, but to me I believe your primary aim of joining the forum should be to learn, and not to work. If you and not interested in bounty, then you will be interested in signature, but if your main aim of joining the forum is just to work, then you are going to find it difficult to rank up your account so that you will be able to join signature.

I went through your profile and I noticed that your account was created since February, but you only made one post alone, if you want to grow here, make sure you involve yourself in conversations, ask questions about things that you don’t know.

Study the threads in the forum and DYOR. Focus on learning about bitcoin and its crypto market. If you can do your own diligence and explore everything that is listed in the forum, then that would be a lot better. It will give you an advantage knowing you’ve earned adequate knowledge first before you decide to invest. Also, learn from the mistakes of others as what they shared in the forum, so that you can avoid those mistakes and will never do the same mistakes that will lead you to lose and failed in your set goals.

Some persons are only here to earn and the funny thing is that they will not even calm down to learn the necessary things they ought to do and pass through the newbie stage. If op interest is to learn and know more about Bitcoin and the Blockchain, then he would have to keep reading and asking questions about the cryptocurrency market. If the aim is to utilize the forum to earn then he still need to calm down and learn how things work. There are many ways we can earn from Bitcoin or altcoins which includes mining, staking, trading, airdrops, bounty hunting etc.
Knowledge of crypto both technically and in general is unlimited. The OP could ask questions based on what he's interested in, but I wouldn't expect him to focus too much on his plans to make money. Forum and their users can help beginners gain proper knowledge of what they are interested in, but if they don't tell us then surely they will have a hard time getting good guidance.

The main thing for beginners to do is study, it's up to them what their interests are, but the important thing is that they have the good intention of equipping themselves with knowledge instead of money.

Well you're welcome to the forum.
Some of us where newbie's like you, not knowing our left from our right here in the forum, it took us a while to learn more about the forum even though we are still learning even at this stage, so from my own knowledge of the forum,  I would advise you take time to observe the rules of the forum, so that you won't fall fowl of it, always ask necessary questions about things you don't understand on forum.
However this forum will avail you the knowledge you need to understand about bitcoin, ranging from trading, mining, coding etc.

Welcome to the forum, it's a community where you would be privileged to learn everything bitcoin. Start up with a learner's mindset and see the forum as a source of information to your bitcoin journey.

A lot have been stated above about the forum and bitcoin but I do feel a need to bring to your notice about scammers. There may be dubious minded persons that would wanna take advantage of your naivety in the forum by giving you a PM about any bitcoin project or related, pretending to wanna help you. Please do well to avoid such messages or preferably bring such publicly to the forum to ascertain their genuineness. Enjoy your stay in the forum and keep away from plagiarism too.

You have already started your journey on the bitcointalk forum by first registering. Depending on what you want the goals of the most people on this forum can be classified into: learn, networking, and earning. For some it is all of them while for other it is just two of them. Whatever the case may be we are here because of Bitcoin.

Not meant to gatekeep you from the forum, OP but this forum isn't entirely circulating around bounties and this isn't an earning platform like surely some of your "friends" told ya. This is a forum for discussion/s and conversation/s with other users that are interested in crypto.

Think of it as Reddit but the only subs are Bitcoin and altcoins.

Hi mate, welcome to the forum. The only thing you have to do on the forum is to read and see if you can provide an input to it. Do not indulge in creating more threads rather take it as a Twitter account and start posting more replies and understand the context of the topic. Other than that, just follow basic rules and do not spam posts. Quality over quantity should be your goal. Merits are required to rank up, for that you surely need to post good content.
I'm cringing on the Twitter comparison but I agree that it's the closest thing that OP can do in this forum.

To OP, it seems that you want to make money in the forum but it's up to you if it's going to be difficult or not, a lot of the replies have already mentioned that you contribute quality posts more than just pumping out posts or replies so I'm not going to touch too much on that, if you have a marketable skill like graphic design, programming, or other services that has something to do with cryptocurrency or technology, you can check out the Services board, you can post what service you're offering or even reply to those that's looking for services that you might be able to do, or if you are into selling and buying stuff, the Goods board might be a good board for you to explore,  it has 3 sub boards for specific stuff so you will be busy for awhile if you plan to check it. Like any other things, just explore the forum, see how things work and how users interact and you're going to learn along the way.

Here's the link to the Services board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0
Here's the link to the Goods board:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0

You dunno what you want...
You're actually confused and mixing up points as a result of your misconception..what does learning about crypto got to do with bountys and all of those ?? Does that make any detailed fact at all??
You're here on a quest to grow in rank and join a campaign someday - fact or farse?
Pick up the rules and learn on them in your own words, dialect and understanding ... Nothing magical is happening in here - the work you put is actually the outcome you get...stay focused and ALWAYS HAVE A PURPOSE. Good luck!

If you come to the forum solely because of Bounty, you wouldn't go far, in short you will end up spamming your post history with proof of Authentication, Twitter and Facebook links and at the end of the day, you will not learn a single thing in the Forum, all you will be doing is visiting Bounty board, you wouldn't learn anything tangible about Bitcoin not talk more of the forum it's self. It's a good thing that you asked a question so you don't end up like your friend who invited you to the forum.

My advice is this, spend more time in the Forum to understand how the forum works, learn more about Bitcoin and expand your knowledge outside the forum, when you utilize these resources, you will understand Bitcoin better and how to relate will not be a problem to you and how to respond here. Don't hard yourself on it, just be natural and if indeed you are willing to learn, you will grasp basics in short time.
He is not interested in Bounty as you can read from his post. Maybe he is looking for something that pique his interest in Bitcoin. I think he wants to learn more about this forum and also about Bitcoin while earning at the same time. Well, the "proof of authentication" eill indeed flood the post history but it doesn't mean a bounty hunter won't be able to learn. They wouldn't be joining bounties if they didn't learn at all but the difference is that most bounty hunters doesn't care about the post quality, board or threads where they post just to meet the requirements or quota. I did participate in bounties before but I did learn too and that was before though.

Bitcointalk forum contains general discussion all about bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market, and since it’s a productive and educative forum, members will consistently learn all the relevant topics that will contribute to the bitcoin ecosystem. And by learning, you have to do your due diligence to research and study the forum because this is the only way to gain adequate knowledge and even skills later on. If you can do that, then expect a high rate of success when you decide to invest and trade with crypto.

I would love to help you out but you should be more specific about your journey. Like, what type of journey, Are you want to earn money here or do you want to learn about crypto here? Or are you interested only in BTC or ALTs? Or do you want to learn the technicalities of blockchain and wallets? Or you just want to join the local community. Well, I think answers to all the queries will be --> Be active on all threads, to learn the topics you want. If you wanted to earn money then joining signature campaigns is the best option otherwise you are already familiar with the bounty work.

My recommendation is, do not to waste too much time on bounties only. Because i have also spent a lot of time on bounties and did not earn that much amount which i just earned from signature campaigns. But you have to be legit and should contribute to the forum by any means. Once you started to spend some time here, you will learn automatically which is best for you and which thread you will like the most, i did not like the gambling thread specifically, of course, Off-Topic and archive is also on my unfavourite list. So, i hope you will find you too.
