You need to prove everyone if your project are serious, if you want to prove it you can run a signature campaign and the reward need to be paid with top 10 cryptos. If you only use your own token as the reward, what's the difference between your project and other altcoins project?

Of course it's need to be a long term campaign because if you only run for a week or few weeks, not many people will realize your token and they're not consider you're trustworthy enough.

If the reward is paid with top 10 cryptos, what is the point of building trust and loyalty between the project and the potential users ? Anyone who joins the airdrop will be most likely to acclaim the reward and simply leave. There is no need for them to be attached the project that was intended to promote. There are various ways to prove to the public our commitment such as updating our developments, not necessarily attracting them by throwing other top altcoins' tokens. Well, a user's trust should be earned over time, by showing them all the developments and even the difficulties.

one of the most effective way is through giving airdrop by finishing some tasks and even retroactive, there's reason arbitrum could turns out to be massive successful mainly because they have retroactive airdrop in which has greatly increased the number of users in their blockchain and their community grows really fast overtime, even right now many are already used with their chain that it is still frequently used as an alternative to ethereum.
many would say that airdrop only gonna make the value of the coin hardly increase but the truth is, if done right, it will increase the fame of the coin in no time, that only if the project itself is good quality though, if it's some shit project doing the airdrops it just gonna get considered trash coin.

Doing airdrop please and thousands of people will be regularly following your project. It's not something new if these days people become very loyal once they will be get incentivized. I meant let's take a look at so many project that already got hundreds thousands of followers in twitter.

These projects were offering incentives by used its test net. The fact that if this is very good to attract people to come in.

But airdrop only attract those who wants the money they'll be expecting when they sell their tokens received from the airdrop. Airdrop increase number of community members in the social media which makes it look like the project is quality.

Airdrop alone doesn't build a community but when you constantly engage the community, they get stronger, you can introduce daily tasks that'll keep the users that came for airdrop occupied with the project and could lead to them investing.

Overall I believe trust is the biggest way to build a community, when your investors are happy with how the project is been ran then they'll attract more investors as they help with the marketing without any cost but just because they believe in the project.

Sure many people attracted to the projects solely for the airdrop. But do they even know what they are promoting? Seems like they are just there for the airdrops and doesn't really care about the project itself, high chance that they will forget the projects once the airdrops are finished. It's a common thing where once the airdrops are finished, there is no discussion about the project from those "airdrop hunters", it has some negative.

That's indeed a concern. Many of airdrop hunters will simply walk away after the airdrops are finished and they have no attachment to any of the projects that the airdrops are designed for. To solve this problem is not easy unless you have built a consistent promotion network. Building a community has become more difficult nowadays but we are working on it and will succeed one day. No matter what.

Building a solid community is easy, easy, difficult. The most important trust, we can attract and build community by giving them gifts for example. But now there are many people who just want the prize without making a big contribution to the project, that is the work where the project must survive in the midst of such a process. Providing a clear roadmap is also one of the keys to the success of a project. And also always provide updated developments so that investors see that the project is a project that is managed seriously and by professional people. The peak is when the project has gained trust, it will not be difficult to attract many investors.
No way. If it's not a solid one, then maybe yes but if we say solid community it means more loyal members. We need to do something or a kind of gimmick to attract people and let them stay in the group. Activity of the members is also important. I like the suggestion you gave there which is by giving a gift or a reward. Of course we won't give them too early because there might be abusers who are only after it. They need to show their genuineness first.

A roadmap will still be useless no matter how clear it is but if there is no actions taken by the team. Real developments are still important or the willingness of the team and not just only by showing some documents to lure people.

Agreed. The timing of giveaways is extremely important. Too many people are simply looking after free gift while contributing nothing to the intended project. We believe loyal supporters need time to cultivate and there are nothing short of "takers". Speaking of roadmap, it is true if no concrete actions are taken. We are relentlessly working on polishing our project no matter how much time will be taken in terms of security and scalability. I am expecting to meet more fans here who interest and support us.

We All Can Make It

Please share your thoughts and/or methods. By the way, I am with FireDAO team, in charge of the global community. Please contact me if you have any question.

First thing that comes to mind when building a project is the community because the project ought to be centered around solving the problems of a particular community or group of communities. If that was done first then it will not be difficult to sell the project to that community and the community will be happy to embrace and adopt the project.

Airdrop for the masses, yes and that will certain get the attention of many crypto people because who doesn't want to receive airdrop? Even if they're just a dollar or $5, there will be a lot of people that would like to get it because it's free money. No matter how much it will be, there will be participants that want to take free money.

That's right and that has made a lot of people join their test nets because there's an incentive and those that were able to spend for their own gas fees, they're the ones who received more because they've shown support to the project.

Unlike Bitcoin that created the cryptocurrency world with an unimaginable fan base, most altcoins have to do tons of work to earn all users' trust to flourish, especially for countless new projects.
As you said, although there are many new altcoins that have been rising so far, one of the problems is common in their community. We may see that Bitcoin may have a bigger community, exactly, moreover this forum is also. But if it is for a new project, it will exactly be more difficult to build the community, because the new community needs more trust and reputation in developing the project and community forum.  And this is different between Bitcoin and altcoins. That is why it will also need a hard thing to do right now. I remember also how Satoshi and the team first built the community and this forum needs several times to grow up and all being accepted by the community will also lead to the new project.

Indeed nowadays building a solid community is becoming more difficult. The first obstacle is how to earn users' trust as a new project. There are just too many new projects coming out every months and people are busy and tired of going through each of them. Even if times passes and the new project wins fans, how to maintain the popularity becomes a bigger obstacle, which is an ongoing problem to most new projects. I know we FireDAO have a long way to go but we are committed to providing users with a reliable project that brings benefits and excellent user experience. Please stay with us and there will more upcoming good to come. Thanks.

Campaigns and other form of advertisments; most often social mdeia platforms. This is for the project to be known by more people both non-crypto and crypto investors. If you'd solely depend with crypto-investors, the possible growth would be limited into such population. Unlike with bigger scope wherein including non-crypto investors will create a bigger margin for your project's demand. If the project itself has potential then it would be worth trying to introduce it to a larger population.

Indeed, maintaining the popularity is a hard thing to do. Especially if you have long term vision while your investors are only for short term. Problem is we cannot control the demand from investors during the process. Demand will only be established once the project is out in the public and still showing promising potential.

Building a strong community of supporters for crypto projects takes time and effort, but it is essential for the success of the project .  Regular and transparent communication is crucial for building a strong community. Keep the community informed about the progress of the project, upcoming updates, and any issues or challenges that the project is facing. Engage with the community regularly by organizing events, and interacting with them on social media. Educate the community about the project and the technology behind it .Create a compelling logo, website, and social media presence that show the project  vision and values .

Well if it something that people really wanted to know, I believe transparency is a more appropriate word for that. Businesses have their own dirty secrets and even the reputated ones surely has something behind the scenes that they would not want people to know. Let's say business logic when it comes to a software companies.

Even the those seemingly legitimated ones get raided especially those gambling businesses here in my country, and yeah it happens. Though I know this is all about crypto in general, the point still stands.

Transparency is the focal point of blockchain technology but it can not be done overnight. A lot of us still criticize the operation of many centralized exchanges, why ? Because this is against the decentralization and transparency spirit of blockchain and users feel unsafe. I am positive that many more projects are going to be more transparent as this is what makes this industry unique and attractive. It just takes some time but for sure it will come.

Of course the most important thing is honesty, if a new project has lost the trust of the community it will be very difficult to get it back. whatever happens with the project the team must be honest and open to the community, don't create fake news just to attract investors and make the project look good. what often happens is that many new projects manipulate token sale proceeds to attract investors. this is a bad strategy because it can cause the community to lose confidence in the project.

Of course. Honesty is one of the most important qualities that many people will ignore. Faking news to make projects look good to attract investors is like committing suicide. Even if investors or users are favoring a new project first, sooner or later they will know the fabricated stories behind and choose to leave. As long as project owner and the dev team are open to the community and make genuine communication with investors, solving problems will become much easier. Building a community is not instant but a continuous process of building long term relationship with people. Don't rush.

To build a strong community of supporters for a crypto project there is no alternative to spreading the project on social media. Campaigns should be run on various social media. In this case bounty or airdrop can bring success very easily. As we can now see the news of Arbitrum's airdrop in almost all social media. As a result, their supporters are increasing day by day.

aside from all those social media campaigns, the dev team themselves should seriously develop their project into something valuable. remember, it is easy to sell a project if you have something to offer. if they see a promising project with actual progress, you can easily promote such project. but if you have nothing to show, how can you sell it? you can talk but there's limitation of how long you can sell it with just pure talk.
