When I'm lose in trading, it will affect my mentality and my emotion I will stop and start my trading again tomorrow, but mostly I will wait the price up again, that's why I'm not trading in shitscoin just in 20 top coin in Poloniex, example i'm buy golem when the price is 16400 satoshi but now the price down and I'm still hold my coin don't have plan sell now.
But holding altcoin may not be the right way of dealing with your losses. Holding is only suggested in the case of trading bitcoin because almost all the altcoins are being manipulated for example you can see in recent times how dogecoin got pumped and what is currently happening with ripple and steller.

I am afraid your waiting may go infinity, if insiders of that coin may not turn back.

In my experience the right way of dealing losses : when you are entering into any position have some limit for your losses. That limit should be based on the same analysis which have made you to enter the position. If that limit is reached, sell and accept the losses.

In trading, can be generated or loss, you have to be prepared for it, I once invested in one coin alt before. Initial price is very stable. One time the price dropped dramatically and did not rise again. Obviously I am frustrated because I lost a lot of coins. From here I learned I just focus on other coins. And do not get stuck with just one coin.
In the other side, it's such a good lesson thag we should choose altcoin to invest very carefull so taht we can prevent that scenarion. Meanwhile, I always chech coin's background, investors, and its market movement so that I am able to avoid imvesting in shitcoins.

So in trading how do you deal with loss? For example you've invested in an alt and now it has fallen quite hard and you're on the brink of losing all your bitcoin you invested in it.
How do you actually deal with it? Do you wait and keep on waiting in hope that it will bounce back up and return your investment or you sell and get whatever left of your investment?

I always keep waiting for it cause i believe that it will be bounce back up but when its confirm that its loss. i just accept the fact and still continue what i am doing in some of my money.
Every traders must have a right mind set like that, otherwise they could lose their money. Before initiating in trading, we must clarify ourselves that our emotion shouldn't control us but our mind. You know you are a good trader once you have overcome your emotion and you choose which must be chosen.
Failure to control your emotion will ruin your technique, you need to be fully well grown because you start putting some bigger amount for trading otherwise you are just risking your money at a high level. Your emotion will control you in the game if you will let it and we know there are ups and downs in trading so we have to be strong and fully focus with our goal.

For me as a trader, I tend to hold my coins and keep waiting to pump its value again as I believe it will rise its value again. For better, I prefer not to invest in shitcoins so that I can ascertain that the coin I'm holding has a potential to multiply its value in future time of waiting.
I am a trader also but I find it profitable when holding a certain coins rather than trading it on a regular basis, I don't have a bigger capital so I tried to make it a point that I will just do it for long term keep hoping the price will continue to rise.
So it is sounds like you are a kind of long term trader.
Or just an investor who rarely divest your money , which one are you ?  Roll Eyes
When you suffering loss in trading just consider it as a normal thing as you have agreed and know about the risk , walk away and start a new one, waiting isn't a choice.

Accepting lose is really important because once you got easily lost temper or being emotional this is the time on where your actions would be mainly affected and with this you would do wrong actions which causes for more lose.Instead of thinking up on ways on how to play safe you will change your manner because emotion do overcome you already.Thats why its important to have strong self control when we suffer lose.

Just calculate and follow the coin and wait for an opportunity to reduce the loss and try to get out depending upon the volume of the coin,if you are dealing with a stable coin then there is nothing to be panicked but when you are stuck with a low volume coin get out with the minimal risk as it is a common scene in the crypto world.
That is the advantages of having a good coin or legit coin that is good for investment because even you encountered a loss from your investment you can still have a good expectation that it will bounce back and get a higher price and you will earn profit. This is the reason why trading or investing is only good for legit coins because you don't need to worry.
Most of the developers wills say there coins are legit but in the long run they will just ran away and left the project and eventually it will die.
That's some of the risk investor must see, no one can really tell that it will succeed, what is certain is the risk or winning or losing.

agree with this and never said that we are really loss because as i am doing trading, the coin is really down in the price, but don't forget that we still have that coins and in someday, the price will be back to the price before and even the price will be increase more higher than the price before so we can gets ready to sell our coins to earn much of profit.

In the moment i do loss i get pissed to havent closed the trade when it were on the green result, i do let the coin frozen for around 1 week hoping it recover, the last time this  made me loose around 0,15 btc, and the price were 500 dollars in those time. My next step is stop trading for a long period, and sometimes i do risk tiny ammounts, trading isnt an easy market but if you jump in and out on the right time you able to profit.

It depends on the reason for the alt tanking, if I feel its fundamentals are strong I'll hold and wait but if its development has halted ill sell out and try to make money back in other alts. Also diversification is very important in general it allows u to take a few losses knowing you will 100% make them back immediately on other coins.

If you have invested your money in trading then you should be mentally prepared for all the possible consequences as it will never give you profits all the time so you should also accept the failures and try to learn from those failures which can help you in becoming good trader in future.

Shrug it off and move on, that's what I always say. You won't win every time. There will be days that you will lose and there would be times you will win big. Just make sure you win big and lose less, if not you are losing your money and maybe you should try something else because maybe trading is not for you.

For some people still insist to keep doing something although they have been warn. IMO, family and religio support are best way for recovering or maybe preventing someone to keep gamble all the time.
My neighbour finally recover from gambling addiction after their daughter getting killed by an accident. They thought that they are being punished by God.

I agree with you, accepting it is the best way to get rid of stress and discomfort every day. Actually, in trading depending on the coin I am holding, I will come up with different ways of dealing with loss. Put simply, if the coin i am holding, it really has potential and i feel it can rise again, i will rely on information and experience to analyze then make the decision to keep or sell. And if the coin tend to decline seriously, I will try to cut losses and limit risks in the best way. We need to be really calm when dealing with loss
