It will take a long time and effort to understand the notion of cryptocurrency
Your zeal and eagerness should be a driving force to motivate you to have patience cause cryptocurrency study is a broad subject and  it's not something that can be rushed especially if you want to venture into trading. The best way to grasp the knowledge quick is to not only do research, but you can also watch videos on YouTube that center on Bitcoin and Blockchain.

Explaining bitcoin to a newbie depends on the understanding and the willingness of the person.
Before you explain bitcoin to a newbie, he has to first understand the important of digital technology and it's usefulness because someone who don't understand these two will find it hard to comprehend bitcoin.
Bitcoin is an investment platform where you alone has access to your wallet without interferance.
Every newbie should understand the slow progress and the time duration in bitcoin if he must make it big.
Some newbies who are not well informed might lost it all due to lack of patients and maybe invested all they have that they cant wait for a longer period.

Explaining bitcoin to someone novice is easy enough for now there are lots of educational videos for them to understand on the youtube channel and in theory great if they have the will they can quickly understand what is bitcoin and what is bitcoin for.

Bitcoin was created by Satoshi to make the world's steps easier in transactions and easier and more practical than fiat when we make transactions.

There are criteria of beginners who want to trade where you can refer them to do it on the biggest and most trusted exchanges like binance or coinbase.  I think that currently there are many academies from various communities that provide education on understanding bitcoin to the wider community in the real world.

Usually I will compare it to gold, because it is the simplest thing that can be explained to the layman. But if they want to know more about Bitcoin I'll usually tell them to read an article on Binance or Coindesk and then if they're having trouble digesting it I'll explain the parts they find confusing. Because if I explain thoroughly it will take my time because quite a lot of parts need to be explained, it's better for them to learn it by themselves.

Avoid referring people to read articles on those centralized exchange, they always have a way of inputting one of the services they offer in their article which could be very misleading. They might be explaining ways of exchanging Bitcoin with P2P methods and give example of their own P2P service which we all know it's centralized and not actually P2P but the newbies reading mightn't know and end up getting tricked into using this exchanges service.

We have other unbiased platforms out there that gives accurate explaining on things relating to Bitcoin and gives genuine examples or you can also refer them to the forum. Them asking questions here will guide them better. I think Bitcoin is more than gold, using gold to describe it isn't sufficient because although gold could be said to have limited supply on earth but in the future other planets could be explore and more gold might be brought into circulation when found. Bitcoin is finite, the supply can't increase instead it'll steadily be decreasing due to factors I believe you already know.

It is difficult to comprehend Bitcoin in its entirety and its operation. For individuals new to bitcoin, all they need to know are the basic principles. And if you are interested, you can study its concept further. Read the whitepaper of Satoshi Nakamoto. Find out everything you can about it and look for answers to your questions online. You can conduct research and discover a wealth of useful information about bitcoin even within bitcointalk. Videos and illustrations can make it easier for someone to understand, additional information and guide can be found on YouTube.

Bitcoin is quite different from gold in numerous ways; i know quite a lot of people call Bitcoin "digital gold", but that's the closest the similarities can get to, there are so many differences between the two assets/currencies, and comparing the two of them is not an ideal way to explain what Bitcoin is to a newbie.

Having said that, there are better places to get information and resources about Bitcoin than Binance articles, do not be deceived that Binance is pro Bitcoin, they care more about their shitcoins and their own pockets. If you know people who want to learn about Bitcoin, then tell them to join this forum, and good articles that would get them started would be made available to them, and if they are tech-savvy they can even start off with the Bitcoin whitepaper.

That's right, I know that gold and bitcoin are not the same, but for a newbie they might understand better if bitcoin is analogous like that. Because most newbies understand bitcoin like that much more than if they were told that bitcoin is a digital asset like e-money. In fact, when I first learned about Bitcoin, I thought it was "gold" but in digital form that could be mined, but after learning about it, I realized that it was different.
yes in new state bitcoin and gold can be same but bitcoin is only seen but sonata you can see and hold it bitcoin is digital currency you can only see online but you can never hold them
Bitcoin is one of the most popular Cryptocurrencies today, making people out there very interested in knowing the functions and uses of Bitcoin. Explain to the newbie Bitcoin is an alternative investment that can be an option if want to diversify investment.
Bitcoin operating on a decentralized network is very different from stocks and bonds, which is the reason why the value of Bitcoin is different from other investments. Don't forget to advise newbies to take a little risk on high value assets (Bitcoin) for their old age investment.
Bitcoin has been a coin that many people didn't know before but now Bitcoin has become quite popular.  A lot of investors are growing into Bitcoin and hopefully it will become more popular in the days to come. People who don't know about Bitcoin now may also know about Bitcoin and become interested in Bitcoin, hopefully it will happen very soon.

Introducing someone new to Bitcoin is a very easy task in the times we live in today. In the age of online, it is possible to know and learn about Bitcoin from any platform. If anyone is interested in knowing or learning then he can definitely learn about Bitcoin. An honest desire to learn helps people to learn anything. But attention is a different thing, no matter how much time we try to learn about Bitcoin, we have to pay attention to learn about Bitcoin. As long as we keep paying attention to Bitcoin, we will have a better understanding of Bitcoin.

And if someone with experience in Bitcoin teaches directly to the newbies then the newbies will pick up that education much faster. Make sure to let people who are experienced in Cryptocurrencies and those around you who express interest in Cryptocurrencies learn about Cryptocurrencies.

I agree @Rruchi man that’s a good way to start that conversation. I think debunking the myths and fake news about bitcoin is a good step to start when teaching a newbie, it’s important that they unlearn what the media has taught them of bitcoin because more than half of what they think they know about bitcoin is tainted by the anti bitcoin media. I would then explain what bitcoin is and why it was created referencing the bitcoin white paper.
It is very right because one of the things that hinders people from investing in Bitcoin, is the spreading of fake news on Bitcoin. That spread half true and half false about Btc. And that's surely there is a high chance that they will believe what others say like; "I lost my funds in my Bitcoin wallet (non-custodial) even though I'm the only one who uses it and my device has a password, Bitcoin I think is a scam." (Not knowing he accidentally pasted his private key anywhere). That's why people should understand that their funds are very secured in Btc, they just need to do something to be very safe.
Other than that, what I teach them first about Bitcoin is the basics (such as how to send, receive, and store your funds efficiently and safely) so that they can easily absorb what I teach since they are new to Btc. Then I will teach other things when they understand the basic knowledge about what Bitcoin is.

If I am introducing bitcoin to a newbie, I will start by telling them all the things that bitcoin is not first, before telling them what bitcoin is. Many newbies have twisted and false knowledge about bitcoins, some are partially wrong and right, while others are completely wrong. Some of these newbies hve carried this false knowledge for a long time and perhaps it is the reason why some of them have refused learning anything about bitcoins until now. Before a newbie can fully understand the concept behind bitcoins, they need re-orientation on the purpose of bitcoins.

Some newbies have the idea that bitcoin is a get-rich quick scheme, that as they have decided to invest in bitcoins, that within a short period they will become very rich, that notion needs to be corrected in newbies, they have to be made to understand that if they are investing in bitcoins it should be for the long term.

Some newbies only know bitcoin to be something that they can invest in, some are unaware that bitcoin has a currency function also, Newbies need to also understand that bitcoins can be used for transactions that they intend carrying out asides investing.

There are interesting threads in the forum, use the search bar in the upper right corner of your screen, query it, and you will get interesting answers. Furthermore, if you need a graphical representation of bitcoin to a new person who doesn't know anything about bitcoin, you can use Youtube and locate Finematics, they have a dummy representation of what bitcoin is about, you can also use GUY crypto as an alternative. There is much more about bitcoin if you want to study from the beginning to the advanced level, you can use Learnmeabitcoin.com, it has both beginner and advanced sections, you will enjoy the website.

Actually getting a newbie to experience Bitcoin is not a very difficult task. Only imparting some knowledge to them can work from here. I taught some new people about Bitcoin. But I taught them about the bounty section.

The first thing I teach is this: I first have them pick a wallet and then write down the wallet's seed phrase in a notebook. I told him that no one can steal this notebook. After some time I taught them about bounty related work.

Later when they came to me I taught them the steps of business. Then we discussed investments. I have revealed three currencies for them to invest in: Bitcoin Ethereum and BNB. But I didn't ask them to invest in shit coins. Now they have gained a lot of experience and are earning a living from it.

For me, if Ima gonna tell someone new to the crypto world or to Bitcoin, I will not tell them about the technology, the concept, or other information that will make someone being confused much before undertsanidng. because actually, the theory of Bitcoin is actually very wide and deep. So, this will be probably difficult to understand for some newbies.
I think that telling this for newbies can be done by giving small information about Bitcoin, including the risk and profits, explaining to them how the journey of Bitcoin, how Bitcoin can earn money and also can lose the money because of its risks.

Despite all the ways to teach beginners. I usually teach the first thing about the risks of Bitcoin, because bitcoin has risks associated with investing and security. I Remind the person about this risk and how they can protect their investment by following proper security practices.

After that, just about the concept of bitcoin, start by explaining the basic concept of what Bitcoin is, how it works, what differentiates it from fiat currency and what advantages can be obtained by using Bitcoin. The latter told him to look for as many references as possible in online media because it could help someone get to know Bitcoin better.
Agree, the first thing after a beginner knows the basics about bitcoin, then his next knowledge must be knowing the risks, because some crypto communities often ignore knowledge about the risks of investing in bitcoin so that many beginners are not ready to accept losses as a result of market corrections, but apart from explaining investment risks, we must also explains the patterns of kirpto price movements from time to time charts to prove that don't panic responding to news and crypto movements because in the end the price will come back and even higher in the future.

Like every other domestic currency that's just how bitcoin function only that it's a decentralized currency not under the control of any CBDC. Don't get yourself or someone you are telling about it confused with the technicalities or complex concepts behind Bitcoin and the blockchain, you don't really need to know or understand everything initially to be able to buy, store and use Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. You should only understand the basic things and if you are actually interested, you will learn everything gradually.

As a start, you should just know that Bitcoin is just a digital currency that only exists on the internet and has no actual existence, and it runs within its blockchain which is simply a thing that records and keeps all the information about the transactions people make using Bitcoin. You can buy Bitcoin from exchanges like Binance and can keep them in a wallet like Electrum from where you can send or receive Bitcoins just like an online banking application.

Bitcoin is like digital cash that you can send to anyone in the world without needing a bank or any other intermediary. It operates on a secure and decentralized network, which means that transactions are transparent and cannot be altered or reversed once they are confirmed on the network.

Start by buying some coin. When you buy them visit any of the block explorers an example could be this. See how this coin got recorded on this explorer and check if it tallies with the balance you have on your wallet. Do this repeatedly for all transactions that way it will be very much easier to differentiate between the Bitcoin you bought and the blockchain that keeps the record.

You could as well watch videos and read books about how the both work but with owning this coins yourself it will be more easier to differentiate the two and know what role each is playing.

Its another form of currency where you can use it every transaction you want online this is what you can describe this on not technical things. But other call it up as investment since they used it for holdings then wait for the value to rise up or trading.

Also you don't need to stress up yourself about how yo describe it since everyone have different opinion about that just continue to learn and learn your purpose on why you use bitcoin because this could make you enjoy buying it.

Well, instead of using the term legal tender, it would be most appropriate if you just call it a currency; Bitcoin is a legal tender in only two countries all over the world, and that's in El salvador and Central African Republic...
Well, for the fact that you even admitted that there are countries where you deemed it fit that Bitcoin could be referred to as a legal tender, it means anyone using that same term across board shouldn't be out of place. In as much as I didn't say it was globally accepted as a legal tender, I don't think it should be a malapropism. However, I get your drift.

Away from all those terminologies and jargons concerning Bitcoin, I like to explain it the simplest way I can to newbies as two things – legal tender and (2) an asset. Those who understand buying and selling will easily catch up with that. I don't like being highly technical when teaching anyone Bitcoin because it can be confusing and exhausting for the learner and then make them lose interest.

In addition to this, bitcoin is just a digital form of money you can spend, it is decentralized, it's not fiat or cbdc, bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, you can exchange your fiat to bitcoin on exchanges via p2p network, you can make your bitcoin serves as your profitable investment by holding it in your decentralized wallet and ultimately know that bitcoin is volatile, which means it's price is not fix, it can rise and fall, and you can't loose your entire asset at this cause, finally know that bitcoin is not a ponzi scheme where you get rich quick and loose everything as well.

Okay well, now you know better, it is much better to teach newbies the correct thing from the get-go, they do not have to get an erroneous view at first, only for it to be corrected later, it might cause them to make mistakes at the initial time. I know that when quite a lot of people hear Bitcoin mining, they think it is the same process as mining gold, but it is completely different. Imo Bitcoin and gold aren't analogous, but anyway i get your point and what you are trying to say.

The concept of Bitcoin is quite simple; all you have to do is decide that you want to learn something new and be prepared to understand the differences between the words you mentioned.

Certain materials and books have explained all of these terms better and further explain the fundamentals of Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency, and Blockchain in a layman's language for easy understanding; I am sure many forum users have provided you with enough links to get a solution to your questions, and many have properly explained to you.
I will recommend you go through learnmeabitcoin.com for more explanation.

Bitcoin wallets are digital tools that allow users to store and manage their bitcoin holdings. There are several different types of wallets available, including web-based wallets, desktop wallets, and hardware wallets. Bitcoin is a digital currency that operates on a decentralized network of computers. This means that there is no central authority controlling the currency, and transactions are verified and recorded by the network itself. Bitcoin can be bought and sold like any other currency, and it can also be used to purchase goods and services.

I would start with the simplest step-by-step. A beginner will surely compare Bitcoin with money, explaining the difference, those people who take their time and ask questions in the style they would prefer to hear answers will find their answers. In addition, Bitcoin is difficult to describe in one day, if we talk about its full explanation. For some, initial knowledge will be necessary, while others are interested in technical issues. There are many videos, and literature about bitcoin, that send beginners to read, and only after understanding some points, do people have more correct questions, thus there is a path that helps to learn more successfully.

I think I will start with the simplest comparison between Bitcoin and fiat in price, Bitcoin and banks about how it works. But I doubt if it's enough to make them understand because if they never fuck up because of centralization and know the other side of corrupted government, they will not see Bitcoin is a special thing that's really different from the other asset and the only one.

Learning never ends. People are learning in every moment of life. There are many things to know about cryptocurrency.  We basically cover some basics of cryptocurrency. However, if you are interested in knowing, you can learn about Crypto Currency from various media. Different social media try to teach about Crypto Currency or Bitcoin through different videos, so if someone is interested then he can get a good idea about Bitcoin and Crypto Currency from different social platforms. And many times it is seen that different famous people write different articles about Blockchain if those articles are read regularly then I think it is possible to get enough understanding about Blockchain.

I've been having challenges trying to understand the concepts of bitcoin.
Can you share the exact challenges you are having? That would help others to put you through.
Bitcoin is a broad concept and it would be difficult to explain with a reply. It is generally a P2P system of transacting without the need for a middle man.
When describing it, terms like decentralized, immutable, transparent, comes up often and define how it operates.

Research.
All the help you need is already available online, you just need to find it.
Search the forum for questions like yours and go through the replies to find useful answers.

It's not hard to explain Bitcoin to someone who wants to know the concept of Bitcoin. I'll direct him to the Bitcoin Whitepaper then have him read from A to Z.
The Bitcoin whitepaper is not exactly newbie friendly and contains some complex information.
It's better for a new user to start off with more basic knowledge and read the whitepaper gradually.

Learning and understanding the concept of Bitcoin is very simple, but the issue is attention, i know that nobody knows Bitcoin all, but as a beginner i think that the major ways you can comprehend the concept of Bitcoin very well is when you are passionate of acquiring the knowledge. For easy understanding the basic principles of Bitcoin, i think that you have to download articles of cryptocurrency and precisely Bitcoin. Secondly you can grab the rudiments of Bitcoin through YouTube video tutorial before practicing manually. And it's obvious with concentration in bitcointalk you can be inform of Bitcoin directly in Bitcoin discussion section.

Some people will quickly grasp all the basics after learning it once or twice, but others will take longer. When we learn something new, there are bound to be some initial challenges, but as long as you work hard and don't give up, you will learn everything. Sometimes this method works for others but won't work for you, so you don't have to follow in anyone's footsteps. Use your methods, gradually, you will find out which method works best for you. Don't be hasty.

The thing is, you basically cannot learn about Bitcoin through the assistance of others per se, you have to look for resources/materials by yourself and read to get an understanding of what Bitcoin is. Some links have been shared on this thread, now it becomes your responsibility to read them and get a hang of things.

Having said that, mind you that there are difficult aspects of Bitcoin that you might never understand, unless you are tech-savvy, you'd be better of focusing on the most basic and important aspects that has to do with sending, receiving and safely storing your Bitcoins. Finally, don't think Bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme, it is not, quite a lot of people erroneously believe that, Bitcoin is just a decentralized currency that serves multiple purposes.

The beginner I met and began to ask questions about Bitcoin and Crypto, most of them immediately focused on trade in the exchange. Everyone may have a different experience when meeting beginners who ask us. But that's what I encountered a lot, they did not ask about the blockchain and also the developmental technology used and built from Bitcoin. They asked, how to trade bitcoin.
Of course, too risky tells Bitcoin trade beginners. I don't want those who are new to Bitcoin to be negatively oriented when they fail in their first trade. So I tell them that Bitcoin is an investment asset. Some risks must be taken when you want to invest in Bitcoin.

I mean if you're going to explain it to someone that had no idea about bitcoin all you need to do is just explain what bitcoin does as a beginner it will be easy to absorb and learn by anyone. You could easily teach them what bitcoin does by explaining the things that you do to bitcoin and how they can use bitcoin to earn, Just the introduction of bitcoin as a digital currency and teaching them about trading. If you are going to teach them how bitcoin works it might get complicated to explain the process and could turn them down, but if you just teach them what can you do on bitcoin they might get interested in it and learn how it works on their selves.

Also, one of the best things to do to easily learn bitcoin is just to try buying one and start investing already, since experience is the best teacher, explaining it to someone could just complicate things just guide them not to invest and risk everything on cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin is a currency that is not issued or controlled by any bank or government. Just like you do online fianacial transactions using central bank-controlled fiat, you can also use bitcoin to make payments but the difference is that there are no third parties especially if you are using a decentralized wallet. But if you use exchanges (firms that offer banklike services in the cryptocurrency industry) you have to go through them to do your transaction. It will also be good to inform you that these exchanges will always ask for your details and you will lose your funds if they collapse.

Some bitcoins also use Bitcoin as a trading instrument. This is because the price of bitcoin goes up and sometimes down making people buy at a cheaper rate and sell when the price goes high. Some people keep it as a long-term investment. These holders acquire and keep bitcoin for a long period and sell them based on their financial plan. Bitcoin can be bought, mined, or earned.

Then ask him to see some videos to make him understand more about how to get to know Bitcoin more closely to how to buy and sell it. As long as there is a willingness to understand all that is related to Bitcoin, there are many tips that can be done to acquaint someone with Bitcoin.

and don't forget to study slowly, don't be too hasty in learning it, just relax and take it slow.

Aside from the answers you have already been given, apart from making him understand bitcoin itself, I would first try to make him understand the shitty banking system we have. When he deposits money in the bank, that money becomes a bookkeeping entry with no real backing, and the money itself is devalued by leaps and bounds (you are able to buy less and less things with the same amount). This is what made some people believe in the need to create an alternative digital currency, which eventually led to the creation and launch of bitcoin in 2009.

.The blockchain and  bitcoin has always been challenging as I'm
Learning for the first time.

"In a nutshell, the network works like a distributed timestamp server, stamping the first transaction to spend a coin. It takes advantage of the nature of information being easy to spread but hard to stifle." -- Satoshi

bitcoin is a volatile internet money that depends on the number of people who trades, buys or holds the currency.  It runs on the blockchain network; a chain of different computers running the bitcoin network. Working interoperable with each other, when one is down others continue confirming the authenticity of transactions.  The network can't stop working, even 1 node is enough to keep the Bitcoin network running effectively. Therefore, it's difficult to stifle the network as it'll require the attacker to stifle all the computers running on the network. Blockchain remains a very strong decentralized network with no central body in control of the transactions happening on the network.

Actually, it's very simple to understand what are Bitcoin and the blockchain unless you want a technical side?

Bitcoin is just like a local currency like USD and the Blockchain should be where all transactions are recorded.
The only difference between the local currency and Bitcoin all transactions are private that only governments have access and the currency is much more stable compared to Bitcoin another thing is Bitcoin is decentralized meaning no one can control your own money.

About the technical side if you want to become a developer then check this link below

Also, state in which part you're having hard time. What you've learned so far and what are those challenges that you've been met?

There are too many resources that you can search to know on what you're struggling with in learning about both.
