I think jsecoin is a good idea.

uses only 10% cpu + lottery system + consent of the users.

Using browsers - it is not effective way to mine. You will have some profit if you don’t pay for electricity and you'll use a lot of computers with browser mining.

the amount of people commenting in this thread that have no clue whats being discussed it TOO DAMN HIGH.

there are zero electric costs. its ALL profit. you are using SOMEONE ELSE'S browser/computer to mine for you.

the browser itself isnt capable of any mining. there is no computational power IN a browser
you host a website
you put a bit of code on your website that will mine whenever someone views the site
the clients visiting your site need to use... a browser... to access the site.

Your post definitely put a smile on my face and I hope it made clear that this would be the only reasonable way of browser mining. I guess some people have in mind, mining coins for yourself on a website with your own hardware/browser and then earn money - which would be ridiculous and far away from efficient!

In theory, concept of browser-based mining sounds OK, but in reality is far from good. You will spend more money on electricity bills and at the end you will not make profit.

Some people get confuse also with the browser-based mining since they are simple joining a faucet to have some little awards... If you really want to mine then have the right tools for it.

Agree - if You really think about mining than You should start doing it right way with right tools or just don't - get an GPU mining rig or some ASIC - choose Your coin and mine, don't sell unless it is on its ATH Wink ...Yes I am also a miner and I will say it again, do not sell Your Coins when they are cheap unless You really must but ...if You need to change Your iPhone 7 on iPhone X ...thats not must have Wink

I think it not so good for my computer. If my computer you used for office work you shouldn't join browser- based mining. Because it eat RAM fast, and your computer have virus, too bad!

I hear about Minergate and I know that service like this will mine something but because you dont wanna learn how to download miner for example claymore and edit config by yourself you will pay them extra fee.
Propably better is nicehash than this.

yeah, I know about it. 3 months ago I tried on my PC using VBScript just wanted to know if it worked/Not and it worked fine.

but I do not recommend it let alone use someone else's property without a permit.

The use of foreign computer resources without the permission of the owner is illegal. I do not recommend doing it - it's very, very bad.
JSEcoin use an OPT IN small banner which uses less power and PC resources than a video advertisemne

Yes, consent is key. I believe getting the consent of users visiting your website will be the future of this type of mining. They are indeed a good alternative to ads because would you really rather see a page full of ads or would you rather let your idle CPU validate some transactions? The latter is obviously more preferable. Especially because you really aren't going to spend the whole day visiting the same website anyway.
yeah..
I have 2 websites for hotels and 4 websites for High school for now already 2 years running but I don't do it (running a script for mining with Browser) although they give consent with zero of fees because I think I do not want to sacrifice clients and visitors just to get a bit coin

I think it's not very good, on the processor, bad mining. And sites that offer mining directly on their website, they do not exist for a long time. Or they will ask to download their program or plug-in for the browser, and there is a virus. Therefore, I do not like this kind of mining

Correct me if i am wrong, my knowledge in mining is using your cpu/processors power to do the others task.

Yeah, that's right.

So what is browser-based mining?

A few people have mentioned, and a bit explained this above.

I see it continuing in the future at the least. It's an alternative to ads,  which can be somewhat distracting when you're trying to browse a page, and I personally haven't noticed anything too bad in regards to temps and CPU usage when I've gone on sites with browser miners in the past....

I'm not sure if "using visitors resources" can be compared to some ads content, moreover if those sites didn't notify their visitors that their CPU resource will use for mining. For me, that's a less proper way to be applied.

I now earn monero through the browser on the site. There is little money now. Does this business have a future?

Anaconda is a TSX-listed gold mining, development, and exploration company, focused in the prospective Atlantic Canadian jurisdictions of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. The Company operates the Point Rousse Project located in the Baie Verte Mining District in Newfoundland, comprised of the Stog'er Tight Mine, the Pine Cove open pit mine, the Argyle Mineral Resource, the fully-permitted Pine Cove Mill and tailings facility, deep water port, and approximately 5,800 hectares of prospective gold-bearing property. Anaconda is also developing the Goldboro Project in Nova Scotia, a high-grade Mineral Resource, with the potential to leverage existing infrastructure at the Company's Point Rousse Project.
The Company also has a pipeline of organic growth opportunities, including the Great Northern Project on the Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland and the Tilt Cove Property on the Baie Verte Peninsula, also in Newfoundland.

Bitcoin FTW!
I see it continuing in the future at the least. It's an alternative to ads,  which can be somewhat distracting when you're trying to browse a page, and I personally haven't noticed anything too bad in regards to temps and CPU usage when I've gone on sites with browser miners in the past. CPU mining isn't too profitable as a whole, and even less so when you're talking about using the power that a browser miner has, but if a site brings in lots of visitors (like PirateBay), it is possible that the site could be supported by that alone. Adblockers are starting to implement ways to block browser miners, though.

If you're talking about mining for a profit through your browser, though, you might as well forget about it. Even the most powerful CPUs don't make a lot after electrical costs, and you're better off with a GPU or ASIC if you want to seriously mine.
