i think the incoming split this coming november will going to affect the btc price since there's a lot of new users that didn't know what's happening on bitcoin only they care about their bitcoins. panic selling mostly will happen since they'll going to heard the incoming split. after that bitcoin will pump again just like what happened a few weeks ago.

price of BTC Core?
what the hell is BTC core?!! are you coming up with weird names yourself or is there some propaganda somewhere that you either fell for it or are a part of it? which one is it?

it is called bitcoin and it has always been bitcoin and it will always be bitcoin. anything else other than bitcoin is an altcoin.

Umm.. Have you seen the latest bitcoin qt wallet? When it loads up it says "Bitcoin Core" proudly before it opens.

The Coin is named Bitcoin!
Bitcoin Core is the Client you install! It isn't called qt anymore since a while!

Yeah but come on... I guess we all knew what he meant. I just don't see why people are so angry at each other in this forum. Man, you should see the Turkish side as well.. There is always a quarrel, it drives me crazy Smiley

As before there is likely to be fear and uncertainty and doubt leading up to and after and it may be worse as this time instead of having coins on both chains (unless a decent level of replay protection is integrated) you may only end up with coins on one chain, and the miners and some major service providers (bitpay I'm looking at you) appear to be choosing to follow the coin which is not supported by the "core" developers.

Is the BCH really a real deal? cause i though it was on august 21 but i guess another split is another breakthrough for investors. Well if miners are the issue on the spliting of the core? then i support if there is another dispute then is another split?. And i can see that every split on btc has always a high price compaired to other altcoins.

I'm sure it will affect the price. How long will a fever the market is another question. But the fact that whales will try to shake the panic and make money out of it once again, I have no doubt. I was already used to it, but I think that such situation is not exactly going to benefit bitcoin.

Hi, just wondering what you guys think the november split will do to the price of BTC Core? If it's going to rise I'm going to buy in again (already own 0.933 BTC) and if not then I'll sell before long once I'm breaking even (if it gets to that point) and buy back in at the dip. Also, do you guys think BTC Cash is a good long term investment? Seeing rises of around 25% in just 2 days, quite impressive.
You can sell into a particular point maybe on $5k price or lower than that because i do believe it would reach up that range while we are going to november event.If it hits then try to keep those bitcoin you have because im sure that the thing that do happen on previous august 1 event will surely happen on this upcoming november too which we can buyback on more cheaper prices because after that price will surely shoot up again.

What are you doing  here is totally wrong and misleading. And I think you're doing this on purpose!
There is no Bitcoin Core. This is Bitcoin! Pretty simple and easy to understand. Bitcoin! Every other fork we had so far and we will see in the future will be an altcoin without consensus by the whole community, which includes USERS!!!

Just to make it clear for you:
Bcash = Bitcoin Cash = ALTCOIN!
B2x = Bitcoin 2x = ALTCOIN!
Bgold/BTCGPU = Bitcoin Gold = ALTCOIN!
BTCD = BitcoinDark = ALTCOIN!
XBC = Bitcoin Plus = ALTCOIN!
Bitcoin Lite = ALTCOIN!

So therefore nothing of any importace or significance is going to happen in november. Some FUD will be spread by the NYA guys to drop the market, as usual. Veterans got used to it and know how to take advantage of such situations.
You will get free coins, can dump that crap for Bitcoin and that's it. Also I doubt the Bitcoin Gold (BGold/BTCGPU) hardfork will steal some attention from the B2x guys. So you will get free money twice!!! Bitcoin holders will be thankful for that. And the Bitcoin network will become even more stronger and resilient.

there is no November split, stop spreading FUD.

there is talk of a hard fork to increase the block size to 2 MB. it may or may not happen. currently more than 95% of the miners are signalling for SegWit2x or NYA, which means if it happens there may not even be a split! unless these 95% change their mind.

Also, do you guys think BTC Cash is a good long term investment? Seeing rises of around 25% in just 2 days, quite impressive.

no it is not a good "long" term investment. but it can have a very good potential IF things get out of hand before this upcoming S2X drama. they can potentially take advantage and pump BCH, which means a good profit in a short time and then followed by dump.

But how does the majority in the community think about Segwit2x? If it does cause another split then I believe it could impact the price negatively. We cannot have 3 Bitcoins in the market, it is stating to look ridiculous.

Why not make their own altcoin if they are not happy.

altcoins are never good long term investments. they never survive the passage of time. look at some charts over the 1+ years period and you can see how the "rises" which are in fact pumps only go on for a short time.

now compare those charts with bitcoin chart over 1+ years. you can see the overall rise is pretty obvious on the charts despite all the ups and downs in short term.

What happened with bitcoin core price after the bitcoin unlimited and bitcoin cash forks?Nothing.
It increased.I think it will increase again after another hard fork.
The bitcoin cash supply is very limited,but the BCH market is very small.A small change in BCH demand would lead to big change in BCH price.This is an obvious pump&dump,and maybe BCH miners are manipulating the price.

There is no perfect cryptocurrency and Bitcoin also falls into this category even if its the first and the original one with much better chance to make it to the mainstream. Bitcoin's value is always affecting by the mood of the market and this coming November there can be some downturn as fear and apprehensions might return due to the possible hard fork. However, it might not be as intense as what happened prior to the August 1 fork. People this time can be looking forward for the opportunity to be given new and free altcoin.

As to BCH, yes I see that it can be a very good altcoin and there is a possibility for that to increase in value as November can be near due to possibility of it being highlighted as the number alternative to Bitcoin. As always, invest your eggs in many baskets to minimize the risks.
