I personally bought and use Ledger Nano and i must it's a great hardware to have especially when you are not a trader but you are investing for long term.

I think of cold storages. Also besides from keeping information safe you have to be careful with projects you decided to join and people you speak to, they may look friendly but it’s not always true.

Random coins :)
To protect my coins I use:
  • Adblockers to prevent me from being lured into a trap which might lead to being phished
  • use metamask to block unverified crypto sites
  • Use 2 factor authenticator for login protection
  • I never reuse passwords
  • Never click unknown links
  • I always double check any copy paste crypto addresses to make sure clipboard hasn't been hijacked Cool
  • most importantly never share private keys with anyone not even your shadow Grin

Your private key should be kept safe as well as your wallet. Try as much as possible not to connect your laptop to general internet connectivity that is shared since your information can be shared as well. Do not store your tokens on exchanges for long.

I usually don't hold many bitcoins in my wallet so I don't worry that much about that and I keep it on a wallet on my phone. I the most convenient way to safely storage your bitcoin is to buy a hardware wallet and move your bitcoins there. This kind of wallet are pretty cheap this days and the risks of getting hacked are much smaller in comparison with any online wallet.
We can only use our phones if we are just holding BTC but if we are holding some altcoins, feel better to use MEW or hardware wallet.
It sounds to be expensive in purchasing hardware wallet and so some of us will stick in using online wallets.
Anyways, the most important is we have stored it securely.

I protect my digital coins by storing my private keys on my Google drive account. I don't bother printing them. I feel it's safer and more convenient to have my private keys on my cloud account.

cryptocurrency market started to grow day after day, and everyone now started to own coins, so the question now which come to all the coin's holders , how to protect your digital coin from losing, stealing, hacking, etc ?

So far the coins that I am holding now was in the exchange wallet which I used, but even is like that all of the exchange which I had been used up to now have all 2FA authentication were prone to hacker. And because of this methods so far so good I never encounter any such things that my coins steal by someone. Then, I only used Electrum and MEW that's it!

I would put your digital coins into a secure wallet such as a paper or hardware wallet. Here are some of the best ones https://www.smartbitcoininvestments.com/best-bitcoin-wallets/

There are many ways to do it. Like finding the best wallet to store your bitcoin and never reveal your private keys to any one. Storing your funds in a cold wallet is the safest way so far that I have experienced.

But if you are a trader, then finding the best exchanges is your best option so you can assure that you funds is safe and you can do your work without worrying anything. And you need to be very careful also, don't act like a fool especially in storing your private keys, passwords and etc., make sure to put it in the safe place.

Since many sites resemble mew, if you can open mew you through bookmarks because it is a fairly effective protection, besides also do not open any links from the email you receive because they usually put cheating there and protect with the original internet anti-virus.

Probably the first thing is to use paper wallets, store bitcoins there and use them only once, after that burn them. Next is hardware wallets, way easier to use and is also safe and reusable. If you can afford hardware wallet, you go with this.

My assets do not need to be protected, crypto is hard to steal and I have no protection from the past. It really depends on your own if you don't play to a phishing site, your assets will be safe until you are old.

You can't blame people with that.

Scammers are tricky and even if you are so knowledgeable, if the scammer approaches you in the right time, you can still be his victim. But it is right that you should not just click anything or any sites or applications that a person that even you know sent you. Scammers will always find a way to trick his victims and that doesn't mean you are exempted to that.

Don't use npm and don't put > 100 btc in your wallet (:

If I had 100 btc in my wallet or even more than that, I will split it up into 10 or 20 in different hardware cold wallets. Exchanges or software wallets is not an option for me. And now that btc is looking so hot right now, it's not just investors that are getting attracted again but also hackers so think very carefully before you put it in any exchange.

Haha great advice. I wish I had 100 BTC to even attempt it. You won't find many people on this forum who have this much. Most people don't even have 1 BTC!

I keep my bitcoin ,altcoins and also to the tokens that I have, I'll make sure every wallet where my coins keep will be in the good condition and no one can hack my wallet because I installed antj virus and setting 2FA when openning wallet to prevent hacking by someone and others also.

2fa isn't unhackable. There are ways around it and the latest binance hack proves it.
Also an antivirus software is only one of many steps you should take to feel secure. There's so many free programs that offer very low protection.

do not save coin in the exchange wallet, use the crypto wallet security service, and use a very strong password.  and in my opinion.  it is a maximum way to save our assets from crime.

I keep my coins offline. I use exchanges only when I want to trade and I never send all my money to a single one and I never use a single transaction to do it. I use safe passwords and more than 1 copy of my wallet in a safe place. I don't tell people around me that I trade cryptocurrencies. The less people know about it the better.

Right now I try saving on the blockchain app which uses 2FA, pin and also thumbprint(in phones which accepts it). Also I try making I backup my funds using the seeds on the various wallets and it has helped me a lot.
Definitely its digital coins meaning it won't just be only BTC, ETH or XLM, which I will advice any one that wants to store tokens he or she should make use of IMTOKEN WALLET or any other wallet which you your self have the private key to.
