there is also http://preev.com/btc/usd/ that you can use which has many currencies.
Preev basically reflects the price of

- Bitfinex
- Bitstamp
- Kraken
- LocalBitcoins

Depending on your setup you will see the result.

Anyway I understand the fun part of the OP hence

A. I am in [*private*]
B. I search on [google]
C. I search in [English]
D. I search using the query ["BTC to USD"]
E. I want the price in [USD]
F. The top result is [Always a converter]

Have fun.

When I saw the title, I thought it was about searching for merchant who quoted sales prices in Bitcoin, which would have been an interesting question. s I read the first replies, I started to get annoyed by all the Dick heads who kept quoting the opening post, so I stopped reading.Instead I gave every reply a merit if is wan't by one of the Dicks, and the poster wasn't on my ignore list.

When will people learn that you just look like an annoying pratt if you keep abusing the quote function.

I have two ways of searching crypto prices.

Everytime I want to get updated with btc's price, I simply go to the digital wallet I used and see the price. In coins.ph (the wallet i used), it has already a graph there for vivid representation including the "Sell" and "Buy" price (just got disappointed because the discrepancy between them is quite big unlike to exchages).
And on the other hand, I just use Coinmarketcap to search for other alts especially for those coins I want to buy in the future and as well as monitoring the shitcoins I already have checking if it improves though a little bit impossible Grin.

This won't be really interesting at all as I doubt that a person will always use a search engine to know what the current prices are. Usually people using search engines to know the current prices are is a one time thing one done by people who are first timers in the market. After that they will each have their own website/s and go directly to it without even using any search engine to do so. They will usually visit coinmarketcap, preev, coingecko, and even tradingview as their references to coin prices.

if you buy bitcoin according to the price of a third party bitcoin wallet provider such as coin base they offer much higher price and a much higher fee, some buy peer to peer and they base it to google price, if want exact price happening go to large exchange that would be the exact price like bitfinex, binance, etc.

actually in all countries, the exchange rate of bitcoin is almost the same globally. it's just that, Iran has a different bitcoin exchange rate now, which is $ 20k.

I do not do that, I search for bitcoin price by asking to my friends who have better comprehending about the market movement of its price because while I try to find it by my self, I often get difficulties to understand its movement. I know it seems as hanging out and depending on others, but I also try to search in other engine.

There are many exchange sites where you could know the current btc price.  I usually check the btc market price at coinmarketcap, DDEX, IDEX and many more as part of my daily routine. For me, it has been a part of my daily monitoring just to keep me updated all the time.

Being from USA or South Africa, using Google or any other search engine will change nothing, you will get the same result.
The difference will be trivial. Using coinmarketcap then converting to your local currency will make your life easier.

I'm curious how people around the world search for Bitcoin prices, and discover the price of bitcoin.

I realize many of you likely already have sites you prefer to visit to see the latest prices, such as coinmarketcap. That's not what I'm asking here in this question.

What I'm asking is, if you search, or were to search online for the price of bitcoin or any other coin, how would you do it?

For example, for myself:

A. I am in the United States
B. I search on Google
C. I search in English
D. I search using the query "bitcoin price"
E. I want the price in USD
F. The top result is an answer from Google showing the latest BTC price in USD.

To make it standard, you could answer in the following format:

A. I am in [Country]
B. I search on [Search Engine]
C. I search in [Language]
D. I search using the query ["Phrase"]
E. I want the price in [Currency]
F. The top result is [Top Search Engine Result]

This will be interesting to see how an international community searches online and discovers bitcoin/coin prices worldwide.

The main analysis to this your question I make use or preev.com that's where we get the actual price of bitcoin which have not encountered any other platform to give me the live actual price of bitcoin as a whole.

I think that everyone looks at the average price at https://coinmarketcap.com/

However, you need to look at the cryptocurrency exchange, on which you trade Bitcoin.

This is the right decision, because the transaction of depositing funds to the exchange can take a long time.
Coinmarketcap gives the average price of the exchanges listed on it. It changes base on sale order and purchase. It is reliable, though sometimes there insinuation of manipulation, thats why the site is always working to improve on this challenge.

There are many ways to check the transaction price of bitcoin and altcoin at a time!
On the news pages, on the exchange and exchange rates where you want to use!
Mostly prices are being check from the exchange platform since even the history of it was in there. You can compare the price before and price it has today. It is much reliable and easy to understand every changes in price even some altcoin can search on it on what price it has and how differs it before. Even the history can see on exchange platform.

Thanks everyone for your answers. It may have seemed like a pointless question, as a few answers alluded to.

There was actually some madness to the question, as we are building out www.coined.com, and are curious how people prefer to discover the price of bitcoin when simply searching online.

By better understanding how people search the price of bitcoin, we can provide a better answer, in the currencies they want to know about, in the language they prefer, and showing the price from the exchange where they trade.

Again, thanks for the answers, even though on its face it is kind of a bland question.

I see no point in making a thread for everyone to report when they search for the bitcoin price.
It's just another way of creating a megathread and all the spammer will gain activity and post count.
That's all you gonna achieve here.
Yes, I agree with your opinion on this topic. There is nothing is look helpful or important in this thread which is spreading the knowledge about the crypto world. And now there are many applications and wallets are available which is very helpful to check the price.
