Bitcoin was once a valueless before but due to investment and circulation occur everyday makes it valuable. Besides, it became valuable because maybe someone use it in other way like trading and people had been recognize it that is why they adopt. Bitcoin becomes valuable because it has a function like fiat, hold and many more.

I myself am honestly confused on how bitcoin or any other crypto currencies are backed. I know fiat is backed up ny products, services or basically anything that a country produces as an income to place a value on their money. With crypto currencies, I'm not also sure. Maybe it's more of like how many people themselves buy or sell cryto currencies. I guess it could be backed up by fiat.

Bitcoins do not have value as a physical commodity like gold and are not widely accepted as legal tender like dollars.

Rather, Bitcoin appears to have value for the following reasons: It is popular.

In short, people accept and trade in Bitcoin because other people accept and trade in Bitcoin.
that's just your opinion, I do not see bitcoin as you say.
bitcoin is received on the basis of trust, of course bitcoin is different from gold, and also can not be equated with the dollar.
bitcoin has its own special features.

Bitcoin does have value because of the demand that is supporting the price of bitcoin and also the beliefs of the people who are with bitcoin and that pushes the price of bitcoin to go up or to stay what it is current price right now. Bitcoin does not have any physical representation but it still manage to have a value in the market because people want it.
Because of the willingness of the people in having the bitcoin, and prices relies on the demand and the supply, we are really the one having the value of it, so for me  the greatest factor are always on our side, that is why we must protect this in order for us to have a great future, as much as possible all people and countries will know this.

“Tackling Climate Change Using Blockchain”

It is not quite correct to say that bitcoin doesn't have any value at all. Bitcoin do have a value, the entry point to have bitcoin is your paper money or your native currency. Which is logically a representation of your own money in digital form. Only because bitcoin adopts a system that goes with the law of supply and demand, that is why the values are changing. Had it not been the method used to give value to it and choose to used just a fixed value aligned to the actual currency then we can clearly understand that bitcoin does have a value and our views would have changed. Look at the paper in the paper money? Does the paper really hold a value? Isn't it really worth compare to the actual metal coins like those containing the equivalent gold or perhaps silver in coins? Of course the answer is no. But are you willing really carry several millions of coins to represent actual value? If you do then you would certainly use forklift to carry it for you when shopping at malls. How uncomfortable will it be!

That's bot a nice review on the reputation of Bitcoim, anyway that's your opinion though. But consider this, there are malls that accept Bitcoins and various on line portals that accept BTC as a trustworthy method to utilize and so I don't know why you say everything is merely based on trading.

Bitcoin is valuable because people value bitcoin, bitcoin can be valuable when people believe in the future of bitcoin and start thinking that fiat money is economic slavery only.
Bitcoin has the intrinsic value of 'electricity cost' to mine bitcoin.

The value of bitcoin comes from "the recognition of the majority".  If people trust it and are willingly to use it, it gains its value.

Bitcoin has value because it is as valuable as money. Bitcoin has the properties of money (durable, concise, exchangeable, rare, divisible, and recognizable) based on mathematical formulas rather than based on physical form (such as gold and silver) or confidence in the center (such as fiat currency). In short, Bitcoin is supported by math. With these attributes, all that is required of money to have an exchange rate is trust and acceptance. In the case of Bitcoin, this condition can be measured by the growth of users, sellers and early users. Like other currencies, the value of bitcoin comes only from people who are willing to accept it as a means of payment.

The value of bitcoin is completely dependent on human interest in it. It's popularity plays a big part in giving it value because the more popular it gets the more people get interested in it and invest in it. As long as people buy and sell bitcoin, use bitcoin for transactions and trade bitcoin then bitcoin will always have value. And as demand increases, so will the price of bitcoin and the value will increase.
